Beyoncé's highly anticipated Cowboy Carter Tour launched Monday night at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, but ticket prices unexpectedly dropped in the hours before the show. Tickets that once commanded up to $800 during presales were being resold for as low as $57.50, according to NBC News reporters Angela Yang, Liz Kreutz, and Sossy Dombourian. Thousands of seats remained available through platforms like Ticketmaster.
While some shows have seen less dramatic price cuts, fans have reported falling prices across multiple tour dates. The price drop has led to frustration among fans who paid high presale prices, only to see better seats become available at a discount. Ticketmaster's policy, allowing upgrades only for tickets of equal or greater value, prevented many fans from switching to cheaper options.
Fans like Jada Rivera and Kira Chase, who traveled from Arizona, expressed dissatisfaction after spending over $1,200 on presale tickets and an additional $300 for upgrades, despite cheaper seats being available in the same section. Online, others, including Paul Poulos Jr., shared similar frustrations, noting the pressure to buy during early sales due to limited availability messaging.
Industry expert Dave Clark, editor of TicketNews.com, explained that aggressive pricing strategies may have contributed to consumer backlash, describing the ticket sale process as unpredictable and expensive.
Despite these challenges, many fans, like Kristy Larson, remained excited to see Beyoncé perform live, prioritizing experience over cost.

Forbes' latest list of America's Richest Women Celebrities showcases the financial powerhouses in the entertainment industry. Despite a cooling economy, several women continue to accumulate impressive wealth through business ventures, music tours, and TV shows. With a net worth of $3.1 billion, Oprah Winfrey tops the list of the wealthiest women in the entertainment industry. Despite her talk show going off air over 15 years ago, Oprah continues to build her fortune through Netflix projects, real estate, and her investments. In second place with a net worth of $1.7 billion, Kim Kardashian has firmly established herself as a business mogul with her shapewear brand Skims and skincare line SKKN by Kim. The success of Skims and recent collaborations, including with Nike, continue to contribute to her growing wealth. Pop star Taylor Swift has seen a $300 million increase in her wealth, now standing at $1.6 billion, earning her the third spot on the list. Her Eras Tour grossed a record-breaking $2 billion, and she has found new ways to monetise her success, including movies, books, and album re-recordings. Following Swift, Rihanna's fortune $1 billion fortune place her at number 4, though it dropped by $400 million last year. Cassie Ventura gives birth to third child days after Diddy trial testimony and $20 million lawsuit settlement
Cassie Ventura has given birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine, just days after testifying in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal sex trafficking trial. The birth, which occurred on Tuesday, was confirmed by a source familiar with the matter, according to NBC News. The birth comes at a pivotal moment, as Ventura has been involved in high-profile legal proceedings related to her past relationship with Combs. Ventura, a singer and model, previously announced her pregnancy on Instagram, sharing black-and-white family photos with her husband and their two daughters. Earlier this month, Ventura spent nearly a week on the witness stand, offering detailed testimony about alleged sexual assault and abuse by Combs. Her 2023 civil lawsuit sparked a wave of similar claims from others, ultimately leading to a federal investigation. Ventura disclosed in court that the lawsuit had been settled just one day after it was filed, with Combs agreeing to pay $20 million. He has denied all allegations. Ventura, who was more than eight months pregnant at the time, began her testimony on May 13. Anticipating her due date, lead prosecutor Maurene Comey urged the court to expedite cross-examination. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian agreed, citing a prior agreement with the defense to conclude questioning within a day and a half. However, Combs' attorney Marc Agnifilo suggested Ventura might need to return for further testimony. The judge responded sharply, questioning the defense's expectations and reminding them of the agreed schedule. As the trial against Combs continues, Ventura begins a new chapter with the arrival of her third child.
