Silsden Town Hall has shared details of its spring programme of live entertainment.
The venue's schedule for March and April includes concerts, exhibitions, and comedy, as well as children's theatre.

The following month, on Saturday, April 13, interactive children's show 'Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers' will have the spotlight.

Comedy enthusiasts will have something to look forward to on Sunday, April 13, with 'An Audience with Mick Miller.'
Miller, known for his performances on The Comedians and Royal Variety Performance, will present new material, followed by an interview with fellow comic Ryan Gleeson.
The usual Miller deadpan delivery is to be expected, and fans can look forward to his unique hairstyle and his famous Noddy routine.
There are matinee and evening performances available (with limited evening availability).
Music lovers can enjoy the Bradford Concert Band's performance on Saturday, April 5.
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the band will perform a selection of cinema classics and musical favourites, marking the last fifty years of screen and stage hits.
The Silsden Textile Exhibition will take place over the weekend of March 29-30.
A new portrayal of Silsden life, created in fabric and stitch, will be unveiled.
Work by 15 local textile artists and textile groups, who combine fabric and fibre to create pictures, hangings, and sculptural pieces, will be displayed.

A Juneteenth tribute to Afro-Caribbean traditions in art, dance in Holyoke; plus an events listing

HOLYOKE — Holyoke is set to come alive with art, rhythm and unity at the second Afro-Caribbean Heritage Festival Juneteenth celebration on June 13 and 14 at Lyman Park. On both days at 4 p.m., the celebration will kick off at the park with free drumming and dance workshops for all ages and skill levels. At 6 p.m., free live performances will happen at Holyoke Media. All events are free and open to the public. Juneteenth is a national holiday commemorating the end of slavery on June 19, 1865. The Holyoke event aims to showcase the beauty, power and contributions of Afro-Caribbean culture throughout history, while also creating a safe and inclusive space for celebration, said organizers Gloria Caballero Roca and Ivor Miller. 'This celebration is about joy, unity and cultural pride,' they said. The event will feature Brendaliz Cepeda and Bomba de Aquí from Holyoke, known for Puerto Rican bomba music. Also performing are maestro Lazaro Galarraga, an Afro-Cuban musician from Los Angeles, and Danys 'La Mora' Pérez with her dance group from New York City. Throughout history, artists have played a crucial role in society uniting communities, shaping culture and politics, Caballero Roca said. Highlighting their artistry at the Juneteenth event in Holyoke this year was important to Caballero Roca and Miller because of potential federal budget cuts to school programs in music, dance and art. These programs help students from different cultures express themselves, she said. 'It's important to find commonalities. Without them, it will be harder to unite, organize and mobilize,' she said. 'Not just for Black or Caribbean people, but for all human beings. This division weakens us.' Keeping these programs and traditions alive and in place in the community help maintain that unity, she said. 'Art and culture are powerful tools for protest, and this year's Juneteenth celebration will highlight its role in advocating for social justice,' said Caballero Roca. 'By coming together, we can use our voices to speak up for our needs and reclaim our identity — not just as dancers or singers, but as politicians, intellectuals, and parents.' Caballero Roca said this feeling of unity should organically foster meaningful conversations among event attendees, which in turn, pays tribute to the ancestors who built a foundation for a diverse world and interdependence as human beings. Interdependence is especially important in today's society, when diversity is under attack, she said. 'Society often feels siloed. We need to value our diversity and recognize our shared humanity. ... When we come together, we can protest and stand strong, whether in Holyoke, Los Angeles or Gaza, and acknowledge our struggles and find empowerment in our unity, just as Christ did,' she said. To political leaders, the Juneteenth message is clear: ''We are human beings, and we won't vote for you anymore.'' Caballero Roca said last year's Juneteenth event had about 200 attendees. This year, Miller and Caballero Roca hope for even more, by extending the invitation to all residents in Western Massachusetts and other New England states. Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer Steve Miller has sold tens of millions of albums, his songs streamed billions of times, and his Greatest Hits (1974-1978) is among the top 25 best-selling albums of all time. On Monday night, at a ceremony at the Gibson Garage in Nashville, Tennesse, Miller was honored with the 2025 Les Paul Spirit Award. Michael Braunstein, Executive Director of the Les Paul Foundation, presents Steve Miller with the ... More 2025 Les Paul Spirit Award The annual award is given to those who exemplify the talent, creative spirit, and innovation of the late Les Paul. Paul not only invented the solid body electric guitar, he created many of the techniques used in the recording studio today such as multi-tracking, overdubbing, echo, and more. Miller becomes the fifth rock singer/guitarist to win the Spirit award. Past recipients include Bob Weir, Nile Rodgers, The Edge, and Peter Frampton. For Miller, however, it has a little deeper meaning. He had a special connection with Les Paul. Paul, a close friend of Miller's parents, was Miller's godfather. They had a close personal relationship that began when Miller was a child and continued until Paul's death in 2009. Steve Miller performing with his friend and mentor, the late Les Paul In accepting the award, Miller talked about first seeing his friend and mentor during a six-week stretch when Paul performed at a club near Miller's home in Milwaukee. 'I was just shy of being five years old and my dad would take me every night to see him play,' Miller recalled. 'And I couldn't believe how much fun this guy was having. This was back when he was in his early thirties. We all know the older Les, but the young Les was the baddest guitar player in the country.' Paul later taught Miller his first three guitar chords. 'Watching Les play, I learned some things from him that were really amazing. He invented so many tools and things that we as recording artists, and Nashville, is built upon. It dawned on me that everything he did was really obvious and really simple, but he was the guy who put it all together, therefore he was a genius.' The actual award was handcrafted by Paul and his son, Rusty, with wood from Paul's studio in New Jersey. It comes as Miller just finished building a brand-new studio of his own. It's his fifth, and at 81 years old, Miller says it will be his last. 'This new studio is the best sounding one I've ever built, and this piece of Paul's studio is the first thing that's going in there. I can't thank you enough!' Steve Miller says he'll put his Les Paul Spirit Award (handmade by the late Les Paul and his son) in ... More his new music studio. Then, he set the award aside and brought out his Steve Miller Band keyboardist, Joseph Wooten, along with some other musician friends to jam for a little bit. 'We're going to do a few tunes for you right now in memory of Les, and lay some vibes down here in the greatest, grooviest music store in the world!" Miller's handful of songs included a mesmerizing version of 'Fly Like An Eagle,' accented by Wooten's incredible B-3 magic on the keys.
