Roald Dahl children's show and comedy fun among Silsden spring events

Silsden Town Hall has shared details of its spring programme of live entertainment. The venue's schedule for March and April includes concerts, exhibitions, and comedy, as well as children's theatre. Edison Lighthouse, famous for the hit single 'Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes),' will perform on Saturday, March 23, bringing their 70s pop music to the stage. The following month, on Saturday, April 13, interactive children's show 'Roald Dahl and the Imagination Seekers' will have the spotlight. As Roald Dahl's words are disappearing, "not only from books but children's minds too," a secret organisation, the Ancient Guild of TaleTenders, must save Dahl's stories with the help of the audience. Comedy enthusiasts will have something to look forward to on Sunday, April 13, with 'An Audience with Mick Miller.' Miller, known for his performances on The Comedians and Royal Variety Performance, will present new material, followed by an interview with fellow comic Ryan Gleeson. The usual Miller deadpan delivery is to be expected, and fans can look forward to his unique hairstyle and his famous Noddy routine. There are matinee and evening performances available (with limited evening availability). Music lovers can enjoy the Bradford Concert Band's performance on Saturday, April 5. Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the band will perform a selection of cinema classics and musical favourites, marking the last fifty years of screen and stage hits. The Silsden Textile Exhibition will take place over the weekend of March 29-30. A new portrayal of Silsden life, created in fabric and stitch, will be unveiled. Work by 15 local textile artists and textile groups, who combine fabric and fibre to create pictures, hangings, and sculptural pieces, will be displayed. The event is free and does not require booking. The full schedule of events is available to view at
