Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla Just Rewore Key Pieces From Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 2018 Wedding

Yahoo4 days ago

For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's 2018 nuptials, Kate Middleton wore an off-white dress with a Philip Treacy hat, and Queen Camilla donned a pink ensemble with a dramatic fascinator.
Recently, Kate rewore the accessory to a garden party, and Camilla turned to the blush-hued dress for a state visit to Canada.
Royal experts believe that the two may have been sending a signal by rewearing the pieces, as the looks came just days after Harry and Meghan's seventh wedding anniversary. While much of the focus was on Meghan Markle's boatneck gown during her 2018 nuptials to Prince Harry at St. George's Chapel, the public also took notice of the rest of the royal family's looks. For the occasion, Kate Middleton donned an off-white Alexander McQueen coat-style dress with a coordinated fascinator, while Queen Camilla (who was then the Duchess of Cornwall) wore a blush-hued ensemble with a choker-style necklace. And though Meghan may never rewear her gown, it appears as though Kate and Camilla are still found of their looks from the 2018 fête. On Tuesday, May 20, Kate rewore the Philip Treacy hat she selected for her brother-in-law's ceremony to a garden party at Buckingham Palace. And less than a week later—on Monday, May 26—Camilla wore the same pink dress she had donned for the wedding during a state visit to Canada with Prince Charles.
The royals' decision to showcase the pieces again isn't necessarily surprising, as Kate has been known to rewear her go-to looks. In fact, the dress she donned for Harry and Meghan's wedding was one she had previously debuted at another important engagement: the 2015 christening of Princess Charlotte. A few years after Harry and Meghan's nuptials, she also wore the piece for the 2022 Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. However, during all three occasions, she made sure to slightly alter her look, opting to pair the coat-style dress with a different hat. Yet, on May 20, it was the fascinator from the 2018 ceremony that made its return. For the garden party, Kate wore the piece with a butter yellow Emilia Wickstead dress and the earrings she featured on her own wedding day.

During a recent visit to Canada with Charles, Camilla made the opposite decision from her daughter-in-law, opting to don the dress she wore to Harry and Meghan's nuptials—without the fascinator. The pink-hued look, which was designed by Anna Valentine, was paired with neutral pumps, a Van Cleef and Arpels clover bracelet, a maple brooch, and a pendant that includes the initials of her grandchildren, according to Hello!.
Some speculate that the two's decision to rewear such pieces may have been a nod to Harry and Meghan, particularly since they donned the looks shortly after the duo's seventh wedding anniversary, which fell on May 19, 2025. Others hypothesized that Kate's selection of the fascinator may have had more to do with the recent revelations that she and Meghan were both in tears over a dispute regarding the bridesmaid dresses for the latter's wedding, which has been the subject of media attention for years. "The truth is that during the discussions about the bridesmaid's dress Meghan said a few things she regretted and Kate said a few things she later regretted, but it was all in the heat of the moment," a staffer said in a new royal biography. "Both women were crying their eyes out!" And while neither party has commented on the latest disclosure, some believe that Kate made a subtle gesture through her choice of accessories.

The Italian Sandwich Bobby Flay Always Orders When In Rome

When Bobby Flay is in Rome, he could probably go to any restaurant or eatery in the city and get a table pretty quickly. While in the Eternal City in 2024, Flay didn't spotlight a Michelin-starred ristorante or a sit-down trattoria of any kind on his Instagram page, but rather, a tiny sandwich spot he called, "One of my favorite stops every time I'm in Rome." La Vita è un Mozzico is a 10-minute walk from the famed Spanish Steps and always worth a stop, according to Flay. His go-to order is a porchetta sandwich. Flay explained that patrons have lots of choices as far as which kinds of cured meats they can select for their sandwich, but he opts for sliced roasted pork with crispy skin, pesto sauce, and stracciatella cheese that's placed inside a square of pizza bianca. In this case, pizza bianca refers to a type of flatbread, not a slice of pizza with cheese on it. The salty bread -- which is made from a pizza crust-like dough -- is sliced in half to make a space for the ingredients, and the assembled sandwich is placed in a panini press to warm everything up. Flay warned his fans to be prepared to wait, as the shop is popular and usually busy. Even though he clearly knows the proprietor, Flay himself doesn't get special treatment when he drops by, and he takes a number like everyone else to patiently wait his turn to order. There are no tables or chairs at La Vita è un Mozzico, so this sandwich is best enjoyed standing up on the cobblestone streets of Rome. So what is it that makes this three-ingredient sandwich worthy of his highest praise? It's undoubtedly the quality of the Italian ingredients. The porchetta is a Roman-created dish that consists of a slab of pork that has been stuffed with aromatics, rolled, and roasted until the skin is crisp, though sometimes, porchetta refers to an entire roasted pig. This roasted meat is as delicious thinly sliced and stuffed between a halved slice of homemade pizza bianca as it is as a show-stopping centerpiece, like with this Thanksgiving porchetta. Flay selects stracciatella cheese for his favored sandwich. In Italy, stracciatella can refer to a few different ingredients or dishes. It is a soup made with broth, eggs, and parmesan cheese; it's also a flavor of gelato that is similar to chocolate chip ice cream. But stracciatella as a cheese is a creamy, bright white cheese that is made by mixing torn pieces of fresh mozzarella with cream. The gooey, oozy, creamy center of burrata cheese is stracciatella. Finally, Flay's sandwich order comes with a smear of pesto, which is a sauce that originated in the city of Genoa in northern Italy. It consists of basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil, and real-deal Parmigiano Reggiano, and it adds a wonderfully fresh yet savory flavor to the sandwich. Meghan Markle Recalls Emotional Royal Moment with Prince Harry and Newborn Prince Archie

Meghan Markle dropped a rare mention of her life in the U.K. with Prince Harry and Prince Archie on the latest episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder On the June 3 episode of her Lemonada Media podcast, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, made a subtle reference to the iconic Windsor Castle photo call where she and Prince Harry first introduced their son to the world in May 2019. Prince Archie, now 6, was born in London during their time as full-time working royals—before the couple stepped back from royal duties and relocated to the U.S. in 2020. Meghan welcomed Tina Knowles as her guest on the bonus episode for an intimate conversation — and Meghan referenced the memorable moment. "It seems like we're all kind of figuring it out along the way and also we evolve as women, and the chapters of being a mother evolve. I mean, Archie turns six tomorrow. He's going to be six!" the Duchess of Sussex said. "Where did the time go? I remember carrying him out there, and I was just like, he is now six years old." "We had his birthday party yesterday," she continued. "But you look up, and really, I think everything is in constant fluid motion." Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan broke with royal tradition when Prince Archie was born on May 6, 2019, skipping the customary hospital step photo. Unlike previous royal parents — including Prince William and Kate Middleton — who posed with their newborns outside the hospital, Harry and Meghan chose to unveil their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in an organized photo call two days later after his birth. Archie made his public debut at St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle — the very same location where Prince Harry and Meghan celebrated their wedding luncheon just a year earlier. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their decision to step back from their working royal roles in January 2020 and moved to her home state of California in the U.S., where their daughter, Princess Lilibet, 4 tomorrow, was born in June 2021. The first picture of Princess Lilibet came months later when Prince Harry and Meghan released a family holiday card in December 2021, with the photo confirming that both Archie and Lili inherited their dad Harry's red hair. Meghan's postpartum photo call with Archie bubbled up on an earlier episode of Confessions of a Female Founder when the Duchess of Sussex welcomed Bumble CEO and Founder Whitney Wolfe Herd to the show. Can't get enough of PEOPLE's Royals coverage? to get the latest updates on Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and more! "I mean, I'll never forget the image of you after you delivered Archie, and the whole world was waiting for his debut," Whitney told Meghan. "I was either just becoming or about to become a new mom, and I was like, 'Oh my God, how is this woman doing this? How is this woman putting on heels and going and debuting a child in this beautiful outfit in front of the entire world?' " Read the original article on People
