UConn star Azzi Fudd returning to Huskies next season
Azzi Fudd is running it back one more time at Connecticut.
The Huskies' sharpshooting guard announced Tuesday that she is returning for one more season.
Fudd made the announcement on her Instagram account, posting in part, "Hey Gampel, thanks for last night ... see you next year."
The 5-foot-11 Fudd is averaging 13.4 points this season for the Huskies, who advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament with a victory over South Dakota State on Monday night.
Fudd is shooting a career-best 45% from 3-point range this season. She has also posted highs in assists (53) and steals (36).

CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein reported Wednesday that Brad Brownell's Tigers will take on coach Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa in the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge. An official date and start time were not announced. The matchup will be a rematch of teams who met twice during the 2023-24 season, including in the West Region final of NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles on March 30, 2024. After defeating New Mexico, No. 3 seed Baylor and No. 2 seed Arizona in the tournament, the Tigers reached the Elite Eight for only the second time in program history, and the first since 1980. Clemson fell to Alabama, 89-82, at Arena (Staples Center), denying the Tigers their first trip to a Final Four. Prior to that, Clemson and Alabama met four months earlier on Nov. 28 in Tuscaloosa, an 85-77 Tigers victory in the 2023 ACC/SEC Challenge. Last year, Clemson smothered No. 4 Kentucky in the ACC/SEC Challenge for a 70-66 win at Littlejohn Coliseum on Dec. 3 behind 11 points and 20 rebounds from Ian Schieffelin. Guard Jaeden Zackery led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points, and fans stormed the court after the victory. Clemson finished 27-7 overall last season and 18-2 in ACC play and was a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers fell to McNeese State, 69-67, in a first-round upset in Providence, Rhode Island. Clemson was ranked No. 23 in the final USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. Alabama went 28-9 overall and reached the Elite Eight before falling to Duke in the East Region final in Newark. The Crimson Tide were ranked No. 6 in the final Coaches Poll. Joe Flacco talks about 'embarrassing' TikTok dances: 'Be an adult'
Joe Flacco is the elder statesman of the Cleveland Browns quarterback room. Having just turned 40 in January, Flacco has morphed into the "back in my day guy" and is now just one step away from telling the young whippersnappers to get off his lawn. Flacco has embraced that youthful energy in the twilight of his NFL career, taking the opportunity to pose for a fun photo at media day with rookie, Dillon Gabriel. Advertisement Regardless, he continued to provide plenty of entertainment for the media following Wednesday's minicamp practices, turning the session into a chat about social media, TikTok and posting dancing videos online. Flacco began discussing Twitter, now known as X, as it has evolved into a primary source of news. "The difference now is, everybody's getting their stuff from there, and it's treated a little bit more seriously because that is the main news source," Flacco said, via 92.3 The Fan's Daryl Ruiter. "You still have the same thing you always had, which is a million different opinions, but it kind of blends your actual news source with a bunch of other stuff." Advertisement "We're out there for an hour 15 minutes and guys think it's hard," Flacco said via Yahoo Sports' Jori Epstein, referencing the two-a-days that used to be commonplace in the NFL. He went on to add that organized team activities (OTAs) used to be over two hours, highlighting just how much has changed since he entered the league in 2008.
