Gene Deal Just Dropped a Chilling Prediction About Diddy's Trial Outcome That Has Fans Bracing Themselves

Yahoo22-05-2025
Sean 'Diddy' Combs' former bodyguard Gene Deal has never been shy about speaking his mind on who and what he saw while working for the former Bad Boy Records executive. He even wrote a book about it, 2022's 'Gene Deal My World of Bodyguarding a Hip-Hop Star: The Last Big Night.'Now that Diddy's federal racketeering and sex-trafficking trial is officially underway, Deal is sharing a shocking prediction.
In a new interview with 'The Art of Dialogue,' Deal says he thinks the pressure of having to sit in the court room and listen to hours of testimony will eventually become too much for the disgraced music mogul to handle – especially since he'll have to listen to all of it without being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Deal predicts Diddy will offer to give prosecutors whatever they want just to put an end to the whole thing by accepting a deal.
'He can't take sitting right there and hearing all of his dirty deeds with Cassie,' he suspected. 'He's hearing all of his deeds in front of him and he ain't high. He ain't drunk. He gone break bruh. I'm telling you.'

The trial has already gotten off to an explosive start. After just over a week of testimony, Combs' ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura shared horrifying details about the alleged physical and emotional abuse she endured while involved with him – details which have been corroborated by her mother and one of her closest friends. Additionally, Combs' personal assistantshared shocking details from the now-infamous 'freak-offs.'
Some who've watched Deal's interview agree that it may all be too much for him to handle. One person, who once oversaw a business portfolio that included mega-successful entertainment, clothing and beverage brands, claimed Diddy doesn't like not being the one in charge.
'Plus...he's a control freak and...has NO CONTROL now,' they wrote. 'He can't take it.'
But another commenter thinks Diddy is too proud to take a plea deal, writing how, 'He is too full of himself to make a deal.' Another added: 'When he snaps, he's gonna give up all the names,' while another person wrote: 'no matter the trial outcome he's done... he is canceled, any celebrity who's going to hang out with him- also canceled. theres no coming back from this.'

Kid Cudi Reveals He 'Hated Every Minute' Of Testifying In Diddy Trial

Source: John Nacion / Getty Rapper Kid Cudi has always shied away from media attention and would rather let his catalogue speak for itself, but lately, he's been getting more time in the spotlight, whether he likes it or not. The 41-year-old is currently promoting his book, Cudi: The Memoir, and while doing so, he's also been asked about the last time he was peppered with questions, which was earlier this year when he was subpoenaed to testify against Diddy in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case. During a recent conversation on the Call Her Daddy podcast, he admitted to host Alex Cooper that he felt uneasy on the stand. ' I was just there because I had to be,' he said . 'I hated every minute of it.' But he goes on to explain that he found solace in knowing that he was doing it for Cassie. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. 'I've always just wanted to see her thrive and do well and be happy because I know she was living a nightmare,' he said. 'And I was just there to support her. That's what kind of gave me peace with it when I sat down in that chair.' When he testified, he told the horrifying stories of how Diddy treated him when he found out he'd been dating Cassie. He remembers the Bad Boy CEO breaking into his home and locking his dog in a bathroom. During another incident, Cudi alleges that Diddy tossed a Molotov cocktail at his Porsche, which set it on fire. That's when Cudi decided to end his short-lived relationship with Cassie out of fear of continued violence, and remembers confronting Diddy about the attempted car bombing, saying he was standing 'with his hands behind his back like a Marvel supervillain.' At the trial's conclusion, Diddy was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering but found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, which carries a few years in prison. Despite several attempts to get out on a $50 million bond and remain confined to his Miami mansion, he is still in a Brooklyn jail cell awaiting an Oct. 3 sentencing date. Slipknot Reportedly Selling Music Catalogue For $120 Million

Slipknot is looking to sell their entire music catalogue in a deal with HarbourView Equity Partners. According to Billboard, the deal could be worth $120 million and would include all of the band's existing albums, not future releases. Billboard estimates the band has garnered $15.5 million in annual revenue over the last three years with an additional $5.2 million from publishing per year. It's unclear how this deal would spread between Slipknot's current and previous band members. Percussionist Chris Fehn had been with the band from 1998 up until 2019 when he filed a lawsuit against Slipknot citing 'unseen' payments and compensation, which was later settled in 2022. Craig Jones, was also a member of the band from 1996 and departed with the band in 2023. Additionally, deceased members Joey Jordison and Paul Gray were instrumental in Slipknot's first four albums, and they have a number of song writing credits on Slipknots first four albums. The timing of this deal makes sense given that Slipknot finished their contract with long time record label Roadrunner Records in 2022 – The End, So Far fulfilled the band's seven album deal they had signed with the label in 1999. Since 2024, Slipknot has been celebrating the 25th anniversary of their self-titled LP. The band had toured throughout North America on the Here Comes the Pain tour which had them performing their monumental debut front-to-back. While the 25th anniversary tour concluded in early 2025, last month Slipknot announced a limited edition 25th anniversary box-set for their self-titled LP which includes 40 unreleased and is set to release on September 5th, alongside a standalone reissue.

Kid Cudi 'hated' testifying in Sean Combs trial but wanted to support Cassie: 'She was living a nightmare'

The rapper said he later realized he had to "look out for" the R&B singer. Kid Cudi "hated every minute" of testifying in the Sean "Diddy" Combs trial earlier this year, but he wanted to support his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Speaking with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy, Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, recalled getting subpoenaed to speak as a witness in the federal trial. He said that he was reluctant to speak, but on the stand he realized he had to "look out for" Ventura. "I've always just wanted to see her, you know, thrive and do well and be happy," the artist said. "I know she was living a nightmare." In July, Combs was found not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was found guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. He faces up to 20 years in prison. Federal prosecutors had alleged Combs "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct," according to an who was in an on-and-off relationship with Combs for a decade, testified that the music mogul had forced her into participating in multi-day "freak-offs" involving sex workers. The R&B singer had previously alleged that Combs had physically abused and raped her in a 2023 lawsuit that was quickly settled. At the federal trial, Mescudi testified that Combs broke into his home and destroyed his Porsche after finding out he was dating Ventura in late 2011. A former employee also claimed that Combs threatened to kill the "Pursuit of Happiness" rapper. Mescudi said on Call Her Daddy that he was going through his own personal issues at the time, including coping with cocaine addiction. When the incident with Combs began, the "Day 'n' Nite" rapper said he was "willing to walk into the fire" for Ventura. "In the moment, it was just crazy," Mescudi said. "I had a hard time understanding if it was reality. I was like, 'Am I in a movie? What the f--- is going on?'" Listen to the full episode of Call Her Daddy with guest Kid Cudi below.
