Reguilon joined Tottenham in 2020 from Real Madrid but never really managed to settled down.
That led to loan stints at Atletico Madrid, Brentford and of course United.
The Spain international joined the Manchester giants on September 2023 as emergency cover at left-back following the injuries of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

However, Reguilon barely spent four months at Old Trafford and returned to Tottenham, who then offloaded him to Brentford just two weeks later.
The defender amassed a mere 12 appearances during his short time with United.
That is just seven more than the total number of appearances he has managed this season at Tottenham, where he has fallen out of favour under Postecoglou.

‘Dominic can't be the only step' – Daniel Farke says Leeds' business not done after Calvert-Lewin transfer confirmed

United announced the signing of England international Calvert-Lewin on Friday afternoon, but the 28-year-old will not be included in Farke's plans for Monday night's Premier League game against his former club Everton. Farke said: "He will support us and from (Friday) afternoon will be a member of our squad. We are all delighted that Dominic will wear a Leeds shirt. "With Dominic it's the first step, an important step, but there is still business to be done. "There is no doubt we need reinforcements, especially in the offence. Dominic can't be the only step. "We are on a good path, prepared for the first games and I hope when the transfer window is over we have a squad who is capable of fighting because we have one clear target - to stay in this league." Calvert-Lewin, signed as a free agent after leaving Everton earlier this summer, has seen his progress stall in recent seasons due to injury. The 28-year-old made the last of his 11 England appearances against Ukraine in 2021 in the European Championship quarter-finals and has scored four goals for his country. Farke added: "Dominic is a proven Premier League player. Its important for all new signings, we want to sign players who have delivered on a top level, but they are also in a good age, on their way up the hill, not the way down. "These boxes are all ticked by Dominic. He's in a really good age, proven at Premier League level with more than 200 games and 60 goals. "We don't have to speak about his qualities. He has all the skills you'd like your striker to have. ADVERTISEMENT "His last few seasons were a bit interrupted by injury, but he still managed to play 26 games last season. "It's a chance for him to revive his career and reach former heights when he was outstanding at Premier League level." Calvert-Lewin told LUTV after completing his move: "It is like walking in today like a first day at school. "I feel like a kid again that is just starting somewhere new and just can't wait to play and represent the football club." Calvert-Lewin is Leeds' eighth summer signing and all of their other new recruits, barring suspended defender Jaka Bijol, are in contention to make their debuts against Everton. Farke confirmed a late decision will be made on defender Jayden Bogle, who only returned to full training on Friday after being sidelined for over a fortnight with injury. "It depends how his body reacts," Farke added. "Thank God we have four more sessions and then we will see. If he comes though these four sessions, he's a topic for the squad."

Ruben Amorim backs Benjamin Sesko to star long-term for United

Ruben Amorim says new signing Benjamin Sesko is ready to start Sunday's Premier League opener against Arsenal and backed the striker to star for Manchester United for years to come. Just three months on from the end of the Red Devils' worst top-flight season since 1974, there is a sense of optimism heading into the new season thanks in no small part to some exciting acquisitions. Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon's arrivals brought hope and were complemented by the signing of talented 22-year-old striker Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £73.7million (€86m) last Saturday. The Slovenia international was presented on the pitch later that day ahead of the pre-season friendly against Fiorentina at Old Trafford, where he could line up against Arsenal on Sunday. "I think he has great potential in everything he does," head coach Amorim said. "He can play different types of football, he is going to feel that Premier League is really aggressive. "He is going to learn but he has a great potential and I can see Ben being a striker for Manchester United for a lot of years. "That's why we paid so much money to have a striker that will have his history in our club." Asked whether Sesko is able to start against Arsenal, the United boss said: "Of course. We didn't have a lot of time but he's ready. "First of all, physically, he's ready. That is a big component in our league. Then, he's really smart. Every detail that he asks, he's a guy that is always thinking. "He spends all afternoon here working on his fitness, so he's ready to play. We will see if he's going to start." Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions last term and has made a good first impression on meticulous Amorim at United's new-look Carrington training complex. "He's one guy who stays here, has lunch, and goes to the medical department, does the stretching," he said. "He is always thinking about football. "He's really obsessed about that and that is a good thing because you don't have to think about that aspect with that young guy. "I don't need to tell Ben, 'Ben, this is Manchester United, a lot of pressure, you have to perform, you need to be ready for the physicality, we need to be ready, every game is like do or die'. "With that guy, I don't have that concern. I have the opposite, enjoy a little bit. "I really like that (he asks questions), especially when it is smart questions so he's listened and he wants to perform so that is very good." "Rasmus is still our player" Sesko's arrival raises fresh questions over the future of another 22-year-old striker, Rasmus Hojlund. The Denmark international has been strongly linked with an exit, just two years on from joining from Atalanta for £64m (€74m) plus a potential £8m in add-ons. Hojlund said on United's pre-season tour that he wants to stay at United and fight for his place, but he was an unused substitute against Fiorentina and links with AC Milan persist. "He is one more option," Amorim said. "We will see. We are focused on this game and Rasmus is still our player." Hojlund's involvement on Sunday will be interesting to see, as will goalkeeper Andre Onana. Another player linked with a summer move, he did not feature in pre-season due to a hamstring injury but is back available to face Arsenal. "Nous (Mazraoui) and Licha (Lisandro Martinez) are out," Amorim added. "They cannot play in this game. Josh (Zirkzee) recovered, Andre (Onana) recovered, they are options for this game. We will see."

Shels v Linfield's multi-million euro tie to be shown live on terrestrial TV

Shelbourne's latest European clash with Linfield will be shown live by RTÉ next week as the Reds look to make the Europa League Conference group stages for the first time. Joey O'Brien's side lost out to Rijeka in their Europa League third qualifying round tie this week, when the Croatian champions overturned a 2-1 first leg deficit to win 3-1 at Tolka Park on Wednesday. But Shels will be back in European action at their Drumcondra home next Thursday for the first leg of their Conference League play-off with Linfield. The sides met in the Champions League first qualifying round last month, with Shels' 1-0 home victory giving O'Brien's side the edge before the sides played out a 1-1 draw at Windsor Park the following week. Linfield's midweek victory over Vikingur means that the Irish clubs will meet again - this time with almost €4m on the line. RTÉ came under fire for not showing Shels' second leg against Rijeka but the national broadcaster will show the first leg on RTÉ 2 and on the RTÉ Player next week No decision has been announced as yet about the second leg but discussions will also centre on any deal Linfield do with BBC Northern Ireland.
