Saud suffers muscle injury during international break
Bad news for Roma who are already dealing with several injuries at once.
In addition to Devyne Rensch and Zeki Celik – both of whom are out with injuries – Claudio Ranieri could lose another full-back ahead of the crucial final stretch of the season.
In fact, Saud Abdulhamid suffered a muscle injury during the match between Saudi Arabia and China, valid for the seventh day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Giallorossi full-back, fielded by coach Hervé Renard, provided the decisive assist for Al-Dawsari's goal in the 50th minute with which the Saudis won the match, but a few minutes later he suffered a problem with his left thigh following a sprint.
After collapsing to the ground, he immediately asked to be substituted, leaving the field visibly in pain.
Roma are now awaiting instrumental tests to evaluate the extent of the injury and recovery times.
