Dua Lipa: I'm too busy to have children
Dua Lipa has said she is too busy to have children as she does not know how starting a family 'would fit in with my job'.
Speaking in an interview with British Vogue, the London-born singer, 29, said she wondered if there would 'ever be a good time' to have a child with her fiancé Callum Turner, the Boys in the Boat actor.
'I'd love to have kids one day,' Lipa said. 'But it's like the constant question of when would there ever be a good time – how it would fit in with my job and how it would work if I went on tour, and how much time out I'd have to take.
'I think it's just one of those things that's going to happen when it happens. I love kids, but I think there's so much more to raising a child than just loving children.'
During the interview, the Grammy award-winning singer confirmed her engagement to Turner, 35. She had provoked speculation after she was spotted on numerous occasions over the last year wearing a diamond ring.
'Yeah, we're engaged,' she said. 'It's very exciting.'
Speaking of her ring, she added: 'I'm obsessed with it. It's so me. It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.'
But the singer said she had not set a date for the big day.
She said: 'I want to finish my tour, Callum's shooting, so we're just enjoying this period.
'I've never been someone who's really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I'm like: 'Oh, what would I wear?''
She added: 'This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends forever – it's a really special feeling.'
The couple have been together since January 2024.
In the interview, Lipa also said she felt 'the most confident [she's] ever felt' ahead of her 30th birthday later this year.
She said: 'I turn 30 in August and I've been thinking about it a lot, because your 20s are just so tumultuous in the way you think about yourself and your body.
'And I don't know, now I feel like I've come to a place – I've become better at taking care of myself and working out and dancing. I feel the most confident I've ever felt. I feel very empowered and strong in my body.
'I feel good when I'm sharing my energy with people on stage. There's just so much of that that makes me really proud of my body and the way it holds me.'

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry not invited to King Charles' Trooping the Colour for 3rd year in row
Another royal snub. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not invited to King Charles' annual Trooping the Colour being held on Saturday, June 14, according to People. This marks the third year in a row that the couple has been left out of the ceremonial event amid their ongoing feud with the royal family. Getty Images The last time Markle, 43, and Harry, 40, attended the military parade was when they celebrated Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee in 2022. But even then, they were forced to watch from a separate balcony alongside other non-working royals. Advertisement Following Queen Elizabeth's death in September 2022 and Charles' ascension to the throne, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stopped being invited to Trooping the Colour altogether. 'This is the first year of his life that Harry hasn't been invited at all,' palace insider Richard Eden noted in 2023. 'With Harry and Meghan, we've always had a sort of 'will they, won't they' before every big royal occasion.' 7 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stopped getting invited to Trooping the Colour following Queen Elizabeth's death and King Charles' ascension to the throne. Samir Hussein/WireImage 'Well, it seems like the palace has tackled this this time by just not inviting them at all,' he added. 'So, you know, it's significant.' Advertisement Although Harry and his wife quit their royal duties and left Buckingham Palace for California in 2020, some officials thought the pair would still be invited to events like Trooping the Colour. 'When Harry and Meghan quit royal duties, I think officials were very keen to stress that they would still be invited to occasions such as Trooping the Colour,' Eden said three years ago. 'So the fact they haven't been invited is very significant.' 7 King Charles during Trooping the Colour on June 15, 2024, in London, England. News that Prince Harry and Markle were not invited to Trooping the Colour for the third year in a row comes after the duke claimed that his 76-year-old father was not speaking to him. 'I would love reconciliation with my family,' Harry told the BBC in May after he lost his final bid for taxpayer-funded security in the UK. I don't know how much longer my father has,' he added, noting King Charles' battle with an undisclosed form of cancer. 'He won't speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.' However, an insider has since claimed that there is 'no turning back' for Prince Harry and King Charles after more than five years of broken relations. 'King Charles remains tender towards his son but can't risk communication. Prince William now has absolutely no interest in mending fences,' royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News this month. 'The animosity is so deep that William has shut the door on Harry,' she added. 'Charles is not willing to go against his heir's wishes.'

Taylor Swift Told Travis Kelce He'd Look Like a ‘Movie Star' in a Jacket, Claims ‘Lip Reader'
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Stanley Cup finals video proved she couldn't get enough of his look as they stepped back into the spotlight. The couple marked the end to their prolonged hiatus from the public eye on Thursday night, taking to the stands in Florida. Making a comeback, that too in style, a viral video showed them talking closely, and a lip reader has since revealed their off-the-charts adorable conversation. It seems Swift lovingly praised the athlete's outfit, telling him he would look like a 'movie star' in a jacket. A video showed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce taking their romance to the Stanley Cup finals while rumors of a secret wedding made the rounds. In the clip from Thursday night's game at the Amerant Bank Arena in Florida, the two appeared engaged in a stimulating exchange. A lip reader told MailOnline that their discussion was all things fashion and that Swift gushed over her man's choice of jacket. NJ Hickling dissected their conversation and disclosed the singer's sweet praise to Kelce. The Daily Mail shared that Hickling claimed the clip first showed the Kansas City Chiefs star initiating the talk. 'Yeah 'cos I'm big, they're quite good jackets,' he told his girlfriend, who seemed quite intrigued by his observation. Kelce then described the jacket and how 'it'll be tailored, has a hat and everything.' Swift replied, 'That's crazy,' and continued sipping her canned drink. He showed her something on his phone, and after watching closely, she said, 'Oh wow.' Following this, Travis Kelce asked Taylor Swift if she wanted that in the video, and she responded, 'You'd look like a movie star.' The footage finally concluded with the NFL star deciding, 'That looks like the perfect one.' It didn't come as a surprise that the Grammy winner sees Kelce as a 'movie star,' given his recent string of acting gigs. He made his acting debut on Ryan Murphy's 'Grotesquerie' last year and is taking on Hollywood brick by brick. Kathleen Kennedy Calls the Discovery of the First STAR WARS Print 'Remarkable"; It's a 'Miracle' It Survived — GeekTyrant
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy made a rare and unexpected appearance at the BFI Film on Film Festival in London to help kick off the public screening of one of the most historically significant artifacts in sci-fi cinema… the very first print of George Lucas' Star Wars from 1977. This is the version of the film before it was labeled Episode IV: A New Hope in the opening crawl and before Greedo ever got the first shot off in the cantina. The discovery of the original print was surprising, and it was exciting to hear that the BFI would be screening it during the festival. Long considered lost, or at the very least buried under layers of Lucas' notorious edits and alterations, this version represents the raw, theatrical cut that launched the most influential space opera of all time. Kennedy addressed the crowd directly, acknowledging the skepticism from fans who worried the print's screening might go against George Lucas' artistic intent. 'It's incredible folklore. Even when I came into the company, there was endless conversation about where everything was, and what was in fact the first print? And it's quite remarkable, what you're going to see is in fact the first print, and I'm not even sure there's another one quite like it. It's that rare.' She added: 'There's so much tinkering that's gone on over the years, and things that George [Lucas] decided, 'I'm gonna change this, I'm gonna try that.' And then, everybody kind of lost track of what it was.' For decades, Lucas has stood by his edits, once telling the Associated Press: 'I'm sorry you saw half a completed film and fell in love with it, but I want it to be the way I want it to be.' That statement, combined with years of 'Special Edition' tweaks, led many to believe the original cut might never be seen again, at least not in public. BFI chief executive Ben Roberts echoed the magnitude of the discovery, calling it nothing short of a 'miracle' that the print was still in good enough condition to be shown to an audience. Kennedy said her appearance was in part to 'legitimize' the screening, and she made it clear that despite the changes over the years, this film, the original Star Wars, remains the template for all that followed. 'I would say this is the film everyone starts with when we start talking about story, George's intent and what it is we're trying to build off of.' As the Star Wars franchise evolves with streaming hits like The Mandalorian and Andor and upcoming films like Shawn Levy's Star Wars: Starfighter with Ryan Gosling, and Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian and Grogu . Kennedy sees this rediscovery as a foundation: 'I really think that now we're in a position where it's broadened the possibility of stories and filmmakers we can bring in to tell stories that mean something to them – it doesn't necessarily have to connect to every little thing that's been done in 'Star Wars'; it can actually be a standalone story that then builds into many many other stories.' I would love to see this version of Star Wars on the big screen! The version of Star Wars that sparked a cultural phenomenon. Source: Variety
