Wimbledon's most beautiful debutant! First-time qualifier, 24, stuns fans with her model good looks and looks set to wow Court No 1 on the opening day

A Wimbledon debutant is set to wow Court No 1 on Monday as she makes her first appearance at the All-England Club. The player, who is a professional model, was one of the surprises of the qualifying rounds at SW19 as she came through three matches - including a victory against French Open semi-finalist Lois Boisson. She is currently ranked number 197 in the world and will face top seed Aryna Sabalenka having made it through. Carson Branstine has been able to fund herself on the WTA tour thanks to her modelling work. Branstine, 24, has been open about the enjoyment she gets from balancing two professions side-by-side. Per Clay Tenis, she said: 'I love being in front of the camera during a shoot. It's fun, I love fashion. It's been one of the reasons I've been able to pay some of my trips. She beat French Open semi-finalist Lois Boisson to make the main draw at SW19 'I didn't want to ask my parents for anything. I wanted everything to come from me and from my tennis. 'I wasn't signed by these agencies because of my tennis, it was for my look. 'Modelling and tennis are weirdly similar: you are an object a lot, and people sometimes forget you're a person too.' While injuries have hampered her path to the top of the tennis ladder, having spent five years on the sidelines, she could announce herself to the Wimbledon faithful in style with victory over Sabalenka. But she is also wary of the contrast between the slow red clay of the French Open compared to the speedy grass surface awaiting her on Monday. She added: 'We're not in Paris anymore, this is grass, and it's basically a different sport. I have a lot of confidence in myself. 'Maybe not everyone knows who I am, but I believe I can beat anyone. I know my game can stand up to anyone's, and I'm glad I can show that now.' Away from the spotlight of the court and the camera, Branstine has also been a devoted student. Carson has also worked in family law way from the spotlight of the court and the camera She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Society, Ethics, and Law with a double minor in Philosophy and Sports Management. She also assisted a lawyer for a year which saw her attend court and file cases involving family law. While the model has expressed a desire to return to law school in the future, she is also keen to start a family. But for now Carson is focussed on the immediate task at hand of her match against Sabalenka and the chance to announce herself to the tennis world.

Wimbledon BAN fan-favourite food from menu and replace it with 'crushed peas' over fears it is destroying the planet - according to Alan Titchmarsh

Fans attending Wimbledon over the next two weeks will no longer be able to enjoy a food that has become hugely popular over the years. The All England Club is on a mission to become more sustainable and has made the decision to replace avocado with crushed peas at this year's tournament, according to The Sunday Times. Avocado has been a fan-favourite at Wimbledon due to its widely known health benefits but there are concerns over the damage being done by growing them in such large numbers across the world. Gardener Alan Titchmarsh is often seen in the Royal Box and made his thoughts on the fruit environmental issues connected to increasing consumption of the fruit. In a letter to The Times in March, he wrote that they should be treated 'like foie gras' said 'don't eat them.' Titchmarsh added that they are 'grown where the rainforest has been felled at an alarming rate to accommodate them [and] need huge and often scarce supplies of water before being shipped 5,000 miles or more.' British peas will be taking their place in dishes and that won't be the only change made at food outlets. Smoked salmon that is the product of fish farming has also been banned while there will there are further initiatives to promote plant-based alternatives. Plant-based cream will be available for the famous strawberries and cream that has become so synonymous with Wimbledon. Organisers are also looking to combat waste with any unsold food to be given to the charity City Harvest. The charity will then deliver it to those in need for free, using a van named Vandy Murray after a collaboration with the British tennis legend. 30 of the 42 kitchens on site will no longer use gas while the showers used by players will be heated by solar thermal tubes.
