A dog owner from Colorado captured the touching moment her canine decided to teach her foster puppy how to howl, and internet users can't cope with it.
Shared on TikTok on Tuesday under the username @baxtersmountain, the video shows Baxter, a springer spaniel, golden and beagle mix, howling like a wolf, before turning to the foster puppy, as if encouraging him to do the same. The puppy enthusiastically tries to replicate the sound, as Baxton checks back on him proudly, but his soft howls still need some practice.
"When your dog unexpectedly teaches your foster puppy to howl," reads layover text in the clip. And a caption reads: "The littlest woo."
Dogs can howl for a variety of reasons. Pet MD says that, firstly, it is a form of communication between them that, like wolves, they use to send long-distance messages, as a signal, or as an invitation to interact.
Howling can also be a way for our pups to express their emotional state, regardless whether they are stressed, excited, anxious, or just bored. It can also be a response to their environment; perhaps music is playing or other dogs are howling.
Pups often howl to communicate to other dogs that a specific area belong to them, and that they are not welcome to venture in. Breeds such as the Siberian husky and Alaskan malamute are genetically more likely to howl than others.
Howling can also be a sign of attention-seeking, because they know this sound will grab your attention, and, in some cases, it is separation anxiety.
While howling is usually a behavioral problem, if it is excessive and accompanied by other unusual symptoms, such as loss of appetite, lethargy, or pain, you should get them check by their veterinarian.

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 3.5 million views and more than 919,000 likes on the platform.
One user, Geoannaa, posted in the comments: My neighbors got a hound dog and he's taught THE ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD DOGS TO HOWL AND THEY ALL RANDOMLY START HOWLING."
Kaela wrote: "Bro was like 'I didn't know that was an option.'"
Naniidasanii added: "I love animals faces when they process information."

A set of darling reusable Swedish dishcloths that can be washed up to 50 times in the dishwasher, and are designed to replace 17 (!!) rolls of paper towels each. A Bentgo stackable lunch container perfect for commuters who want to get back in the groove of bringing cheaper lunches from home again — this right here is a perfect leakproof, sturdy option for your mobile salad/charcuterie/"girl dinner" situations. It's also nice and deep for mixing salads, has an upper compartment to keep your other ingredients separate, *and* a container for dressing. A set of satin pillowcases that not only have a cooling effect, but are soft on your skin and create less friction for your hair so it won't get as tangled while you sleep. Reviewers especially love these because they're an affordable alternative to ones that typically run $18 per case! Biodance's TikTok-beloved Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask for an overnight ~refresh~ to help firm skin, boost elasticity, and minimize pores. Reviewers mention noticing a visible difference even after one use! You are about to become the definition of "I woke up like this." ✨ Death Wish Instant Coffee Packets so downright (dare I say, DANGEROUSLY) delicious that even the biggest coffee snobs you know might trade in their precious pour-overs. That is, if they can handle the 300mg of caffeine per cup 👀.

Jack Nicklaus Gets Blunt: 'Ben Hogan Would Knock Your Teeth Out'

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Jack Nicklaus did not hold back when expressing his dislike for walk-and-talk interviews during golf rounds. During the second round of the Memorial Tournament, the 18-time major champion addressed the issue and made his opinion perfectly clear. As you may recall, the PGA Tour and its broadcast partners have increased mid-round on-course interviews as a strategy to boost fan engagement. However, they aren't succeeding with Nicklaus. The legendary player explained his point of view in his usual manner, drawing on his extensive experience. "I can't stand that, the interview on the golf course. Let me tell you how I think, how I feel," Nicklaus said, according to Sports Illustrated. "I mean, seriously, here's a guy who's leading the golf tournament, he's just hit the edge of the rough, he's got a very difficult shot on a very difficult hole, and you're talking to him about stuff that totally takes his mind off of what he was doing." Memorial Tournament host Jack Nicklaus speaks with the media prior to the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday 2025 at Muirfield Village Golf Club on May 27, 2025 in Dublin, Ohio. Memorial Tournament host Jack Nicklaus speaks with the media prior to the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday 2025 at Muirfield Village Golf Club on May 27, 2025 in Dublin, had a very long and successful career, Nicklaus did not lack an example from golf history to reinforce his criteria. "How would you think [Ben] Hogan would respond to that question? You would not have any teeth left if you did. He'd hit you right in the face with it." As you might expect, Nicklaus did not choose Ben Hogan as his example lightly. Hogan was known for his intense focus, privacy, and aloofness. He was also a perfectionist who demanded excellence from himself and those around him. However, it should be noted that this was his behavior during tournaments. His close friends and colleagues often described him as loyal, deeply thoughtful, and warm in his own way—just not overly expressive. It's also fair to say that Nicklaus is unhappy with walk-and-talk interviews but not with the golf media in general. In fact, ahead of the Memorial Tournament, he voiced his strong opinions about players who avoid post-round interviews: "I've always felt that you guys [the press] have a job to do -- and gals -- and for you to do your job you need to talk to me," Nicklaus said. "And whether I played well or whether I played poorly, if you still want to talk to me, I'll talk to you. And I always have." Jack Nicklaus is one of the most respected voices in golf, largely due to his extraordinary success as a player. However, he has also made a significant impact in other fields, including event planning and golf course design. More Golf: Scottie Scheffler lurking at Memorial despite poor putting performance

The British media outlet reported statements from people close to the couple who claim that things are moving full steam ahead: "She's very comfortable in his home now. She has all the security codes and can come and go as she pleases. She has total access to his life," the unnamed source told Mail Online. "She's got some clothes there, her toiletries, some cosmetics. She'll throw in a load of laundry while she's there, or help herself to something in the fridge. You'd think she owns the place!" the source added. The source offered a personal assessment pointing to a very favorable future for the relationship between Tiger and Vanessa: "She's really good for him to have around. And they're always together now. If things keep going the way they're going, they'll be living together by the end of the year. Tiger moves fast in that department." The relationship between Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump was first reported in mid-March. At that time, reports emerged that the two had been dating since Thanksgiving 2024. Woods later confirmed the relationship through a post on social media that quickly went viral. According to reports, the children of both Woods and Trump, including junior golfers Charlie Woods and Kai Trump, are OK with the relationship. Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts. — Tiger Woods (@TigerWoods) March 23, 2025 Another person who views the relationship favorably is Donald Trump, Vanessa's former father-in-law and the current president of the United States. "I have a very special relationship with Tiger," Trump said on the matter, according to The Mirror. "He's a fantastic guy. I said Tiger, 'that's good. I'm very happy for both.'" Tiger Woods is out of competitive golf due to a ruptured Achilles tendon he suffered in early March. He will not be able to compete again until at least the 2026 season.
