Liam, 31, took the cocaine before his fatal third-storey balcony plunge in Buenos Aires on October 16 last year.
In a post on Instagram, Kate - who dated Liam for two years - posted memories of their time together.
In one snap, Kate shares a screenshot of Liam's messages, telling her: "I can't wait to see you. I literally couldn't love you more if I tried and somehow I will tomorrow."
Kate wrote in the caption: "Eight months ago today, I lost my best friend and someone I thought I had so much more time and life left to share with.
"Liam was the kind of person you'd start missing the moment you walked out the door.
"Even when leaving the house for a few hours, I'd find myself rushing home to be with him again out of excitement.
"Now facing the reality that I live in a constant state of missing you is something I still can't fully wrap my head around.
"Knowing I can't just come home and see you, hear your voice, or feel your hug, it's a type of pain I can't fully put into words.
"I can't seem to tell if life is flying by without you or moving so slow none of it fully makes sense.
"But I am trying to live my life as best I can for now and live it for you. I miss you more than words can say.
Final two men charged over Liam Payne's tragic death WILL stand trial
"One day, I'll see you again, and I'll have so much to tell you. So much to catch up on.
"I love you my angel 444."

TikTok star Michael Armstrong reveals wife Emma had a stillbirth three weeks before due date: 'We are shattered'

TikTok star Michael Armstrong revealed the sad news that he and his wife Emma lost their baby. Emma delivered their child as a stillbirth 37 weeks into her pregnancy. 'It's been hard to find words for this, but it's with a heavy heart to share that our sweet baby has passed at 37 weeks,' Armstrong shared on Instagram on Saturday, June 14. Armstrong goes by Michael Love on social media while his wife is Fire Love. '3 weeks ago, my wife woke up and noticed there wasn't movement in her belly. She intuitively felt something was off. 'A couple hours later we got an ultrasound and the doctors found no heartbeat,' his Instagram caption read. 'We were shattered,' the influencer continued, noting his wife underwent a stillbirth and delivered their child after 37 hours in labor. The couple chose to wait until birth to find out their baby's gender. They had a boy they named Zen Diamond Armstrong. 'There was no sign of what went wrong. His ultrasound, body and placenta all looked good. As we've learned, sometimes this just happens, and 1/3 of the time no cause is ever discovered. 'I've been balancing the divine purpose of it all and the truth of deep grief,' he wrote. 'I know our souls wouldn't have chosen this experience if there wasn't a greater purpose, but the devastation is real. 'The love that's poured in has been a light in the darkness. Our friends here in Kauai have been delivering food and everything else to us,' he wrote alongside a photo of their baby's hand being held by one of his parents. 'Absolute angels. I've been able to devote my energy to taking care of Emma, who is navigating an unimaginable postpartum journey with such strength.' Michael then went on to praise his wife, writing, 'She carried our son with such grace and love, singing to him each night and morning in bed. Armstrong goes by Michael Love on social media while his wife is Fire Love 'Thank you for holding us in your hearts. Every message, every meal, every prayer, we feel it. It matters (even if we don't get to respond right away). 'We're taking it day by day, moment by moment, and letting love lead us through.' Emma also posted about her loss, detailing how many things she had been planning to do with her child. 'I must have spent hours every day just imagining all the things I would do with my baby and the mother I would get to be,' she shared. 'We were preparing for the happiest day our life and instead we got our worst.' 'This is not a share about some silver lining or Gods plan though I have felt the divinity and love like a breath for air that desperately gasp for while I drown,' she continued. 'This is me sharing my shock. For any human that has felt the ground ripped from underneath them. For any mother that has lost her baby. 'The shock, denial, confusion, longing, love and unbearable heartbreak of a loss like this all gets a seat at the table.' 'He is essence of peace and love. He is the rainbow light of our lives. He is an angel guiding us from beyond the veil,' Emma wrote. 'There are no words to convey the depth and grief of this loss. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and please know even if we don't respond that your messages mean so much to our tender hearts,' she concluded. Armstrong rose to fame on TikTok for his hypnosis masterclass and discussions about past lives. The lovebirds got married in April 2024 and called their story, 'the ultimate love story' as well as saying they were each other's 'soulmates.' In January 2025, Emma posted a video and captioned it, 'There's a miracle growing inside of my womb.'

Boca Juniors vs Benfica descends into chaos at Club World Cup as three players are sent off in fiery game

The Club World Cup openers for legendary clubs Boca Juniors and Benfica saw the teams draw 2-2 in a heated match that produced three red cards, including one given to a player on the bench. Boca Juniors is one of the most storied clubs from Argentina, while Benfica is one of Portugal's best teams every year. Many players on either side were familiar with each other, including Argentine legends Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Otamendi, who both scored against Boca Juniors. The hysterics started right before halftime, not on the field, but just off of it, when former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain star Ander Herrera tried to shove his way through security to talk to the head match official while he was in the middle of a VAR review. Herrera was stopped and was shown a red card from head referee Cesar Arturo Ramos when he was relayed the events that occurred around him. Herrera had already been subbed off in the 20th minute with an injury, but looked more than at full health to try and talk with the referee. The teams were even again at 10 men after a red card was showed to Benfica's Andrea Belotti connected with a high boot to the back of the head of a Boca Juniors player. Ramos originally gave Belotti a yellow card on the play but was called over to review the play via VAR. After a few moments inside the booth, Ramos replaced his initial caution with a sending off. The final red card of the game came out in the 88th minute to Boca's Jorge Figal, who was late and reckless with a challenge near the touch line, right in front of a group of Benfica players warming up. One of the sideline officials immediately stepped between the group of Benfica players and Figal, with Ramos' straight red quickly displayed. The goals from Di Maria and Otamendi brought Benfica level, after they trailed 2-0 after the 27th minute. Benfica and Boca Juniors are in Group C with Bayern Munich and Auckland City. On Sunday, the German giants defeated the upstart New Zealand side 10-0.

Tragic cause of nightclub roof collapse that killed 236 revealed as owners are accused of ignoring warning signs

The owners of a Dominican nightclub where a roof collapsed, killing 236 revelers, had ignored warning signs that a tragedy could strike, according to a new government report investigating the horror accident. Antonio and Maribel Espaillat, the sibling owners of Jet Set nightclub, were arrested last week, two months after the rooftop of the iconic club collapsed during an event, killing 236 attendees and injuring 150 more. The Public Prosecutor's Office in the Dominican Republic has sought preventative detention for Antonio and house arrest for his sister, according to Dominican Today. The prosecutors allege the duo's 'chain of actions and omissions... demonstrates a systematic pattern of irresponsibility and negligence.' Citing examples of such actions, a report from the office alleges the duo failed to get proper permits for the work they conducted on the nightclub, and conducted 'structural modifications without a technical basis, overloading the roof, deficient 'repairs' and disregard for danger warnings.' Prosecutors accused the Espaillats of trying to intimidate or manipulate company employees who could have been used as witnesses in the case. Antonio Espaillat is considered a powerful businessman in the Dominican Republic; he owns upscale entertainment centers and dozens of local radio stations. The Public Ministry claimed in the report that on the night of the tragedy, Maribel 'was aware of a falling debris incident hours before the collapse.' She was asked to suspend the planned party for that evening but 'refused to do so.' In her refusal, Maribel allegedly 'cited the absence of Antonio... and the impossibility of stopping the party, prioritizing economic gain over the safety and lives of people.' The report stated the tragedy 'would have been entirely avoidable if the defendants had acted according to the law and valued life over money.' The nightclub owners allegedly overloaded the roof of the club with technical booths, six air conditioning units weighing between 15 and 20 tons each, and water tanks. They did this 'without conducting any study to guarantee the structure's capacity to support such weight,' the report stated. Additionally, 'the nightclub, originally a movie theater, underwent a change of use that involved an inadequate structural adaptation,' prosecutors stated. 'A key column in the structure was subsequently removed, significantly affecting the roof's stability, without any professional assessment or permit to support the modification, demonstrating high-risk behavior.' Other changes which took place without oversight included installing a stage, lighting systems, bars, and VIP areas, prosecutors stated. Prosecutors allege the duo were completely aware that the roof was having problems and had received 'visual reports (photos and videos)' as well as 'communications from their employees.' In the immediate aftermath of the collapse, first responders worked through rubble and debris to find survivors. Crews worked for 53 hours nonstop after arriving on the scene in Santo Domingo shortly after midnight on April 8, rescuing 189 survivors. Once that was done and all the bodies were removed, the Public Ministry directed teams to preserve the debris to be inspected as part of the investigation. The victims included singer Rubby Pérez, who was performing when the roof caved in, and Nelsy Cruz, the governor of Montecristi province and sister of seven-time Major League Baseball All-Star Nelson Cruz. Also killed was former MLB pitcher Octavio Dotel, who was pulled from the debris but died in hospital, and Dominican baseball player Tony Enrique Blanco Cabrera. Other victims include a retired U.N. official, New York-based fashion designer Martín Polanco, an Army captain who left behind four young girls, and three employees at Grupo Popular, a financial services company, including the president of AFP Popular Bank and his wife. The relatives of several survivors have filed lawsuits against Antonio Espaillat. The club, which had operated for nearly five decades, was known for its Monday night merengue parties that attracted international celebrities and high-profile Dominicans. Miguel Valerio, the Espaillats' attorney, said earlier this week: 'This is an involuntary homicide. Nobody wanted that to happen.'
