Raiders agree to terms on a three-year deal with DT Adam Butler
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said at the Scouting Combine the team needs to re-sign every one of its defensive free agents.
They have started trying to do just that.
The Raiders have agreed to terms with defensive tackle Adam Butler on a three-year, $16.5 million deal with $11 million in guarantees, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.
He has played all 34 games the past two seasons for the Raiders, totaling 93 tackles, 10 sacks, 19 quarterback hits, six passes defensed and two passes defensed.
Butler spent his first four seasons with the Patriots before going to the Dolphins.

That leaves the Buffalo Bills as the only juggernaut in New England's path. The fate of the Patriots will ultimately come down to Drake Maye's progression in Year 2. Jayden Daniels was the reason the Washington Commanders went from a perennial loser to a serious playoff contender. Maye will have to be the reason the Patriots do the same. Douglas said, whenever these conversations happen, he takes advantage of the opportunity to gain insight from a player he has tremendous respect for. So, every time I pick his brain, I try to get all the knowledge I can." The Patriots selected Douglas with a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Since then, he has emerged as one of the team's go-to targets, totaling 1,182 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 115 receptions during his first two seasons in the league.
