Walmart shoppers urged to visit store during two hour window when prices are up to 50 percent cheaper

A shopping expert has revealed the exact time to save up to 50 percent — but you'll have to set your alarm.
Danny Seliger, who shares savings hacks on TikTok, revealed a little-known trick that could help Walmart customers slash their grocery bills — but it only works between 7.00 and 9.00am.
He said Walmart shoppers can score discounts of up to 50 percent if they show up early in the morning during the store's daily 'markdown window.'
'Every day certain Walmart employees are tasked with marking down perishable items to clear space for the next round of inventory,' Selinger said in a TikTok video.
'They mark stuff down like fresh meat, produce, bakery items, and ready-to-go food.'
These deals are marked with yellow clearance stickers and typically disappear by noon.
Selinger noted that these are usually sold out by noon, and shoppers who arrive in the morning get first pick.
The trick can apply to all Walmart items that are part of the early morning markdown, including products that may be part of the avalanche of price hikes.
The largest retailer in the world, Walmart is known for offering everyday low prices on popular items.
However, costs have been changing rapidly due to tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.
Walmart issued a warning about price hikes last year shortly before Trump's tariff plans took effect.
Shoppers' worst fears were confirmed after Walmart raised prices last month, and employees leaked photos of 80 percent price jumps on items.
While the chain is the largest employer in the US, the cost changes forced the store to eliminate about 1,500 jobs.
Besides price changes and job cuts, Walmart has been busy working on revamping more than 1,400 stores.
About $1.6 billion of its $9 billion investment is being used to remodel 650 US locations this year, many of which are in Texas and California.
The company will also be opening 40 to 45 fuel stations this year, bringing its convenience store count to around 460.
The products are typically available for 30 to 50 percent discounts until 12:00pm
Walmart is not the only retailer to have suffered from Trump's tariffs.
Reddit users revealed that product prices at Target drastically jumped around the same time Walmart items did.
Macy's also raised prices on select products and is reducing its reliance on Chinese suppliers.
E-commerce giant Amazon angered several people after announcing it would include the cost of tariffs on product price tags.
Amazon's price change plan was announced just a few months before the company's annual summer Prime Day event.
