Celery recall hits the Carolinas over listeria concerns
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Duda Farm Fresh Foods has issued a precautionary recall this week for a batch of its Marketside Celery Sticks due to possible Listeria contamination.
The recall involves 4-count, 1.6 oz bundles of pre-cut celery sold at Walmart stores . The product is labeled with a 'Best if Used by' date of 03/23/2025 and a Lot Code of P047650. The UPC code is '6 81131 16151 0.'
Although the celery is past its shelf life and no longer on store shelves, officials said some people might have frozen it for later use. If that's you, go ahead and toss it out.
Authorities said the issue came up after a random test in Georgia turned up a positive result for Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can be especially dangerous for pregnant women, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported so far.
This recall only affects this specific lot of Marketside celery sticks. No other products from Duda Farm Fresh Foods are reportedly involved.

8 ice cream flavors recalled in Ohio
WAUSEON, Ohio — An Ohio-based creamery has announced a voluntary recall due to undeclared allergens in eight of their ice cream flavors. According to the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Turkeyfoot Creek Creamery of Wauseon, Ohio, is recalling the following flavors of ice cream; Avalanche, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Strawberry, Chocolate Brownie Bites, Cookies and Cream, Cookie Dough, Cacao and Mocha. Massive egg recall hits Ohio Walmart stores The affected products are all packaged in pint containers and were distributed to six stores, located in Canton, Cleveland, West Unity, and Arlington, Ohio.
