Road closed and man arrested after violent incident in city street
A man has been arrested following an alleged violent assault in a city street that saw another man taken to hospital.
Police officers were called to Lon Camlad in Morriston, Swansea, alongside the Welsh Ambulance Service following reports of a violent confrontation on Friday night.
A 35-year-old man from the area was arrested and remained in police custody on Saturday.

A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that have not been deemed life-changing.
Police informed the public that the road had been closed due to a police incident at around 9pm and subsequently issued an update that it had been re-opened at 1am on Saturday.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers attended Lon Camlad, Morriston, Swansea at around 7.55pm on Friday, June 6, following a report of an assault.
"A 35-year-old man from Morriston has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent. He is currently in police custody.
"A 45-year-old man was taken to hospital following the incident. His injuries are not thought to be life-changing.
"A road closure was put in place during officers' attendance. The road has since reopened."

A moped rider has been seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash with a car. Leicestershire Police said he was involved in a head-on crash with the car in East Park Road, Leicester, shortly after 12:00 BST on Friday. KDPS: Man hit by bullet while driving in Kalamazoo
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was hit by a bullet while driving in Kalamazoo early Saturday morning, police say. Around 4:20 a.m., officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were sent to the area of Florence Street near Cobb Avenue after receiving reports about a fight where gunshots were heard. A short time later, officers learned that a 30-year-old man had arrived at the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound. He was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Officers learned that the man was driving through the area of Florence Street and Simpson Street when his vehicle was hit by gunfire. KDPS said a bullet went through the vehicle and his his ankle. According to court records, Jennifer Cataldo, 45, was charged Friday with one count of first-degree premeditated murder. The Royal Oak Police Department says the 66-year-old woman, identified as Leslie Cataldo, called for police assistance at an apartment on the 3600 block of Crooks Road on Wednesday around 7:40 p.m. She said her daughter, later identified by police as Jennifer Cataldo, was experiencing a mental health crisis and needed to be taken to the hospital. Responding officers saw signs of a struggle while speaking with Jennifer Cataldo, police say. They entered the apartment and found Leslie Cataldo unresponsive with a life-threatening neck wound. She was taken to the hospital where she died on Thursday. Jennifer Cataldo was taken into custody at the scene. If convicted, she faced a maximum sentence of life in prison. A probable cause conference for Jennifer Cataldo is scheduled for June 13.
