Vancouver, British Columbia - Newsfile Corp. - August 6, 2025 -or the) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Purchase and Sale Agreement (the "Agreement") with private owners for highly sought after patented mining claims (the "Viewsite Claims") immediately south/southwest of the Ringo Copper-Gold Zone at the Corral Copper Property ("Corral" or the "Property") in Cochise County, Arizona. The Viewsite Claims are located within 2km of the Ivanhoe Electric ("Ivanhoe") claims, which Ivanhoe acquired following Intrepid's successful 2024 drill program. Please refer to Intrepid News Release dated January 15, 2025 for further details. The Viewsite Claims cover several prospective targets that are geologically consistent with mineralization previously encountered at the Ringo Zone, where drilling intersected 112.95m of 1.50% copper and 216.50m of 0.71% copper*."The Viewsite Claims are strategically located between our high-grade Ringo Zone and the claims acquired by Ivanhoe following our highly successful 2024 drill program at Corral and securing these patented mining claims is a strategic step that strengthens our position in the district," said Ken Engquist, Chief Executive Officer of Intrepid. "Located immediately adjacent to our Ringo mineral rights, the Viewsite Claims host several compelling targets that we are eager to evaluate through upcoming exploration. An added advantage is that the Viewsite Claims are patented mining claims, which provide full ownership of both surface and mineral rights. This advantage streamlines permitting, increases operational flexibility, and adds long-term value to our portfolio."The Viewsite Claims add 348 acres of patented mining claims and increases the Company's land position to roughly 10,346 acres (4,187 hectares). They have excellent exploration potential, supported by geological, geophysical, and historical data. The Viewsite Claims share key characteristics with the adjoining Ringo Zone, including intensely altered multi-phase porphyry intrusions, porphyry style alteration (quartz-sericite-pyrite), and skarn and carbonate replacement style mineralization. Geophysical surveys reveal magnetic and resistivity features consistent with subsurface mineralization, together representing several priority targets. Historical drilling intersected anomalous copper, gold, and silver in several locations. The presence of reactive Paleozoic limestones, jasperoids, and supportive trace element geochemistry further demonstrate the potential for CRD-style mineralization. Complex structural fabrics, including stacked thrust faults and abrupt geological transitions, enhance the likelihood of mineralization. Zones of high-grade mineralization are present, underscoring the need for additional mapping and drilling. Overall, the Viewsite Claims are highly prospective for porphyry, CRD, and skarn-type systems and warrant continued exploration. The terms of the Agreement are as follows:*For additional technical information on the drill results disclosed in this news release, including data verification and QA/QC procedures, please refer to the Company's news releases entitled "Intrepid Metals Intersects 216.50m of 0.71% Copper Starting 29m from Surface at Corral Copper in Arizona" dated July 10, 2025 and "Intrepid Metals Drills 20.20% Cu, 8.51 gpt Au and 250.00 gpt Ag (23.85% CuEq) at its Corral Copper Property in Arizona" dated July 9, 2024 available on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca and www.intrepidmetals.com Mr. Daniel MacNeil, P. Geo, a consultant of the Company, is a Qualified Person ("QP") as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Mr. MacNeil has reviewed and approved the technical information disclosed in this news release. The Corral Copper Property, located near historical mining areas, is an advanced exploration and development opportunity in Cochise County, Arizona. Corral is located 15 miles east of the famous mining town of Tombstone and 22 miles north of the historic Bisbee mining camp which has produced more than 8 billion pounds of copper. Production from the Bisbee mining camp, or within the district as disclosed in the next paragraph, is not necessarily indicative of the mineral potential at Corral. The district has a mining history dating back to the late 1800s, with several small mines extracting copper from the area in the early 1900s, producing several thousand tons. Between 1950 and 2008, various companies explored parts of the district, but the effort was uncoordinated, non-synergistic and focused on discrete land positions and commodities due to the fragmented ownership. There is over 50,000m of historical drilling at Corral mainly centered on the Ringo, Earp and Holliday Zones and although this core has been destroyed, Intrepid has a historical digital drill hole archive database which the Company uses for the purposes of exploration targeting and drill hole planning. Intrepid, through ongoing exploration drilling and surface geological mapping, sampling and prospecting is increasing confidence in the validity of these data. The Corral Copper Property is currently comprised of the Excelsior Property, the CCCI Properties, the Sara Claim Group and the MAN Property. The Company has completed the acquisition of the Excelsior Property and Sara Claim Group through purchase and sale agreements. The Company has the right to acquire the corporate group that holds the CCCI Properties through an option agreement. The Company has the right to acquire the MAN Property through an option agreement. See the "Commitments" section of the Company's most recently filed Management Discussion and Analysis for further details.Intrepid is confident that by combining modern exploration techniques with historical data and with a clear focus on responsible development, the Corral Copper Property can quickly become an advanced exploration stage project and move towards development studies.Intrepid Metals Corp. is a Canadian company focused on exploring for high-grade essential metals such as copper, silver, and zinc mineral projects in proximity to established mining jurisdictions in southeastern Arizona, USA. The Company has acquired or has agreements to acquire several drill ready projects, including the Corral Copper Project (a district scale advanced exploration and development opportunity with significant shallow historical drill results), the Tombstone South Project (within the historical Tombstone mining district with geological similarities to the Taylor Deposit, which was purchased for $1.3B in 2018, though mineralization at the Taylor Deposit is not necessarily indicative of the mineral potential at the Tombstone South Project) both of which are located in Cochise County, Arizona and the Mesa Well Project (located in the Laramide Copper Porphyry Belt in Arizona). Intrepid has assembled an exceptional team with considerable experience with exploration, developing, and permitting new projects within North America. Intrepid is traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) under the symbol "INTR" and on the OTCQB Venture Market under the symbol "IMTCF". Trump's higher tariff rates hit goods from major US trading partners
US President Donald Trump's July 31 tariff order imposed duties above 10% on 67 trading partners, while the rate was kept at 10% for those not listed. (AP pic) WASHINGTON : President Donald Trump's higher tariff rates of 10% to 50% on dozens of trading partners kicked in today, testing his strategy for shrinking US trade deficits without massive disruptions to global supply chains, higher inflation and stiff retaliation from trading partners. US customs and border protection agency began collecting the higher tariffs at 12.01am after weeks of suspense over Trump's final tariff rates and frantic negotiations with major trading partners that sought to lower them. Goods loaded onto US-bound vessels and in transit before the midnight deadline can enter at lower prior tariff rates before Oct 5, according to a CBP notice to shippers issued this week. Imports from many countries had previously been subject to a baseline 10% import duty after Trump paused higher rates announced in early April. However, since then, Trump has frequently modified his tariff plan, slapping some countries with much higher rates, including 50% for goods from Brazil, 39% from Switzerland, 35% from Canada and 25% from India. He announced yesterday a separate, 25% tariff on Indian goods to be imposed in 21 days over the South Asian country's purchases of Russian oil. 'RECIPROCAL TARIFFS TAKE EFFECT AT MIDNIGHT TONIGHT!,' Trump said on Truth Social just ahead of the deadline. 'BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, LARGELY FROM COUNTRIES THAT HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THE US FOR MANY YEARS, LAUGHING ALL THE WAY, WILL START FLOWING INTO THE US. THE ONLY THING THAT CAN STOP AMERICA'S GREATNESS WOULD BE A RADICAL LEFT COURT THAT WANTS TO SEE OUR COUNTRY FAIL!' Trump said. Eight major trading partners accounting for about 40% of US trade flows have reached framework deals for trade and investment concessions to Trump, including the EU, Japan and South Korea, reducing their base tariff rates to 15%. Britain won a 10% rate, while Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan and the Philippines secured rate reductions to 19% or 20%. 'For those countries, it's less-bad news,' said William Reinsch, a senior fellow and trade expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. 'There'll be some supply chain rearrangement. There'll be a new equilibrium. Prices here will go up, but it'll take a while for that to show up in a major way,' Reinsch said. Countries with punishingly high duties, such as India and Canada, 'will continue to scramble around trying to fix this,' he added. Trump's order has specified that any goods determined to have been transshipped from a third country to evade higher US tariffs will be subject to an additional 40% import duty, but his administration has released few details on how these goods would be identified or the provision enforced. Trump's July 31 tariff order imposed duties above 10% on 67 trading partners, while the rate was kept at 10% for those not listed. These import taxes are one part of a multilayered tariff strategy that includes national security-based sectoral tariffs on semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, autos, steel, aluminum, copper, lumber and other goods. Trump said yesterday the microchip duties could reach 100%. China is on a separate tariff track and will face a potential tariff increase on Aug 12 unless Trump approves an extension of a prior truce after talks last week in Sweden. He has said he may impose additional tariffs over China's purchases of Russian oil as he seeks to pressure Moscow into ending its war in Ukraine. Revenues, price hikes Trump has touted the vast increase in federal revenues from his import tax collections, which are ultimately paid by companies importing the goods and consumers of end products. The higher rates will add to the total, which reached a record US$27 billion in June. US treasury secretary Scott Bessent has said that US tariff revenues could top US$300 billion a year. The move will drive average US tariff rates to around 20%, the highest in a century and up from 2.5% when Trump took office in January, the Atlantic Institute estimates. Commerce department data released last week showed more evidence that tariffs began driving up US prices in June, including for home furnishings and durable household equipment, recreational goods and motor vehicles. Costs from Trump's tariff war are mounting for a wide swath of companies, including bellwethers Caterpillar, Marriott, Molson Coors and Yum Brands. All told, global companies that have reported earnings so far this quarter are looking at a hit of around US$15 billion to profits in 2025, Reuters' global tariff tracker shows.

US tech shares lift Wall Street futures on tariff exemption hopes
S&P 500 E-minis were up 0.84%, Nasdaq 100 E-minis were up 0.84% and Dow E-minis were up 0.62%. (EPA Images pic) NEW YORK : US stock index futures rose today, pointing to fresh gains on Wall Street, on signs that major technology companies will avoid President Donald Trump's latest tariffs on chip imports. Apple's shares climbed 3.2% in premarket trading, having risen 5.1% and led gains on Wall Street in the prior session, after Trump said the iPhone maker will invest an additional US$100 billion in the US, bringing its total commitment to US$600 billion over the next four years. Trump also announced a tariff of about 100% on imports of semiconductors but said it would not apply to companies that are manufacturing in the US or have committed to do so. Shares of chipmakers including Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Intel rose in the range of 1.2% to 2.5%. At 6.16am, S&P 500 E-minis were up 53.75 points, or 0.84%, Nasdaq 100 E-minis were up 197 points, or 0.84%, and Dow E-minis were up 274 points, or 0.62%. The president's higher tariffs of 10% to 50% on dozens of trading partners took effect today. Still, expectations of policy easing by the Federal Reserve (Fed) – sparked by some disappointing economic data, particularly the July payrolls report – as well as optimism around AI spending by companies have kept markets near record highs. Following the latest jobs data, traders have almost fully priced in a 25 basis point rate cut in September and expect at least two rate cuts this year, according to the CME Group's FedWatch tool. Weekly jobless claims data, due at 8.30am, could offer fresh clues on the health of the labour market and shift rate cut expectations. Investors are also watching for Trump's interim replacement for Fed governor Adriana Kugler in the coming days, amid expectations that the nominee would be a policy dove who will likely favour bringing interest rates lower. Kugler's resignation leaves an opening at the seven-member Fed board led by chair Jerome Powell, who Trump has repeatedly criticised for not cutting borrowing costs. Powell's tenure is due to end in May 2025. Second-quarter earnings barrage continued at full throttle. DoorDash topped revenue estimates and forecasted a stronger-than-expected gross merchandise value for the current quarter. Its shares jumped 8.6%. Lyft's quarterly revenue miss took its stock down 2.3%, even as the ride-hailing firm gave an upbeat gross bookings forecast for the September quarter.

Apple jumps 5pc after US$100b investment plan amid Trump's new tariffs on India
NEW YORK, Aug 7 — Wall Street stocks rose Wednesday with Apple and most other large tech companies rallying as markets largely shrugged off US President Donald Trump's latest tariff hikes. Apple piled on more than five per cent after White House officials said the tech giant plans an additional US$100 billion in capital spending in the United States. Amazon and Google parent Alphabet were among the other large tech names that also rose. 'By standing up and publicly announcing a domestic investment with President Trump, it reduces the likelihood of Trump imposing new tariff burdens on Apple,' said FHN Financial's Chris Low. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 0.2 per cent at 44,193.12. The broad-based S&P 500 gained 0.7 per cent to 6,345.06, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 1.2 per cent to 21,169.42, less than 10 points from an all-time record. Trump ordered an additional 25 per cent tariff on Indian goods. The levy, which is expected to come into force in three weeks, is due to New Delhi's continued purchase of Russian oil. A new wave of Trump tariffs is due to take effect on Thursday on dozens of other economies. But Wednesday's gains suggest investors are becoming more inured to the levies. 'This is a market that's fueled by enthusiasm,' said Jack Ablin of Cresset Capital Management. 'Nothing has blown up yet. Perhaps the impact of tariffs won't be as great as investors originally feared.' Among individual companies, Disney fell 2.7 per cent as it reported around a doubling of profits to US$5.3 billion and announced a series of new deals to boost its upcoming ESPN streaming venture. But McDonald's jumped 3.0 per cent as it reported an 11-per cent rise in profits to US$2.3 billion. While the fast food giant returned to sales growth at US stores, it warned that low-income consumers were cutting back amid financial pressures. — AFP
