Ahn Sohee at the centre of another political controversy
The idol came under fire from the public and netizens online after sharing a number of cryptic posts on her social media platforms that led people to believe that she was 'indirectly' showing her support for a specific political party.
The idol took to her social media account and shared a few stories on June 2. The first story simply consisted of the idol posting a photo of the polling booth she went to in order to cast her vote in these elections.
The main controversy began when the 'Every Day With You' singer shared another story with a lot of 'red' in it.
Sohee shared a story where she was standing next to a large bush of red roses, along with a red rose and the red heart emoji with the caption 'So hehe.' The colour 'red' has been associated with the ruling part of the country. Many speculated that this continuous mention of the colour red in her story, especially right after posting a photo of the polling booth, is a 'hint' towards who she voted for.
Not only that, but it was also taken as a sign of support for the party too.
Sohee posts again to counter the previous photo against claims
The idol, in order to counter the post and prove that they were innocent, allegedly posted another story where she shared a photo of a clear blue sky along with the clear blue sea as well.
Public reacts to Ahn Sohee's stories
After the stories were shared online on her social media platform, they went viral almost immediately. The idol and actress were majorly criticised online. While she faced a lot of backlash, she also had a lot of netizens supporting her as well.

One commented, 'Seriously, stop the insane, baseless hate already. Go live your life,' while another shared, 'Ugh, let's not get too caught up in politics.'
More on these political controversies
Many idols and celebrities alike have come under fire for allegedly 'supporting' a specific party. Recently, Somi, a former member of I.O.I, was criticised in a similar way by netizens for posting a photo wearing red leggings. Many alleged that this was the idol's way of showing support to the conservative party, as she had posted photos containing the colour red during the last election as well.
Another such case came to light when Aespa's Karina was in the middle of such controversy when she shared a photo of herself wearing a jacket with the colours red and black, along with the no. 2 written on it.

From BLACKPINK's Lisa to aespa's Winter and even BTS' V and Jimin - 'Golden' boy Jungkook seems to be dating them all

It seems like there is no rest for the Golden boy of BTS, Jeon Jungkook! Every time a new dating rumour arises, the person involved has already been linked to Jungkook - and this time, what's making the rounds is his alleged romance with BLACKPINK's Lisa. Yup, you heard it right: the two maknaes of their respective groups are once again the subject of dating rumours that are spreading like wildfire. Lisa is gearing up to drop the music video for her track Dream, starring Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro. The teaser has already stirred buzz, with fans speculating about her past relationships and the possible inspiration behind the song - and, somehow, Jungkook's name has found its way into the mix. Why is BTS' Jungkook being linked to BLACKPINK's Lisa? The Dream poster quickly caught attention for one detail in particular - the couple rings. Soon after, netizens began resurfacing 2019 photos they claimed showed Jungkook and Lisa wearing matching ones. Some even noted visual similarities between Jungkook and Sakaguchi Kentaro, Lisa's co-star in the video. All good things must come to an end. DREAM // premiering 2025.08.13 11pm ET Once a massively popular ship,"Liskook" is now making an unexpected comeback in 2025. Fans will find out more when the full Dream music video drops on August 13 (EST). Liskook's wearing couple rings on 2019 All the dating rumours linked to BTS' Jungkook Not just Lisa, over the years, Jungkook has found himself at the heart of countless dating rumours - most sparked by fan speculation, social media buzz, and so-called "evidence" that often boils down to coincidences, blurry snapshots, or misread interactions. On occasion, he's tackled these rumours head-on, usually with a playful or humorous response, reiterating that he's not dating anyone and remains focused on his career. Here's a breakdown of some of the biggest dating rumours: Kim Taehyung (V) One of the most talked-about ships in the K-pop world, "Taekook" - also known as "Vkook" - has been at the centre of fan speculation for years. Whispers of a romance between Jungkook and V have only grown louder with every lingering glance, playful tease, and moment of unspoken connection caught on camera. Their chemistry is so undeniable that it has fuelled countless theories, edits, and fanfictions, with some insisting there's more to their bond than meets the eye. In a twist that only deepened the intrigue, the ship name itself was coined by the two youngest members of BTS. Yet, despite the frenzy, neither Jungkook, V, nor their agency, Big Hit Music, has ever confirmed anything - leaving the "Taekook" mystery burning brighter than ever. aespa's Winter Rumours tying Jungkook to aespa's Winter sparked from claims of shared items, overlapping hangout spots, and appearances at the same events. However, fans were quick to poke holes in the narrative, noting that most of the so-called "evidence" was purely circumstantial. *Jungkook goes to the aespa concert* 'he's dating winter'; *Jk wears a Ralph Lauren's cap* "he's dating winter';*Jk has nail polish* 'he's dating winter'; *Jungkook creates an ig acc* 'he's dating winter'…ATP I have to take a doberman so I can dating jungkook too Adding to the buzz, some online sources alleged that Jungkook attended an aespa concert and was seen in a VIP section - though this has never been officially confirmed. Park Jimin Speculation surrounding Jungkook and fellow BTS member Jimin - better known to fans as "Jikook" - has been a constant in the fandom for years. With no official confirmation or credible evidence, most believe the rumours stem from their deep friendship, forged through years of living and working side by side. Their bond only strengthened during their military service, where they enlisted under the buddy system, and after their discharge, they reunited on screen to film Are You Sure?! season 2 together. BoA opens up about hate she received for joining ‘GOT The Beat'; K-netizens claim Aespa fandom behind attack

BoA is finally opening up about braving the wave of hate comments she has been receiving. The star delved into the criticism she faced online at the hands of trolls and other people who slammed her for her participation in the popular supergroup 'GOT the Beat'. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now BoA opens up about hate comments The singer recently appeared on Hyoyeon's online channel, where she opened up about the hardships she has been through for the past few days owing to her participation on the show. She revealed that 'GOT the Beat' was not something she was too keen on joining, and had even rejected the offer quite a few times before accepting it. The idol revealed that she had been receiving regular hate, over rumours that the group was made 'because of her'. She went on to admit that the hate comments had a major effect on her. Once the video was shared online, fans of the solo idol pointed out that most of the hate that she received for being in the group was prompted by Aespa fans. Aespa's fans called out Many K-netizens took to online social media accounts and other forums to express their disdain over the matter, and specifically called out Aespa's fandom for targeting BoA for no reason. One comment read, 'Don't you remember? People were hating on her back then, too, saying she ruined the rookie group's image and messed up their plans', while another read, 'I've been a genuine fan of everyone from BoA to aespa, so honestly, I really liked GOT the beat's promotions (not the songs, but the lineup^^). It was like a dream group for me… But seriously, why does BoA have to get all the hate? It's so ridiculous. Do people really think BoA was the one who pushed for this? These delusional headcanons are just straight-up baseless hate'.
