Double amputee ex-Marine Brandon Rumbaugh accused of raping 13-year-old
Motivational speaker and former Marine Brandon Rumbaugh, who lost both of his legs while serving in Afghanistan, has been accused of repeatedly raping a teen at his Pittsburgh-area home.
Authorities launched an investigation into Rumbaugh earlier this month, after a 13-year-old girl came forward with the allegations against him. She described Rumbaugh as a family friend during interviews with law enforcement, telling them she'd known him since she was 10 years old, according to a criminal complaint obtained by WPXI. She added that they started communicating by phone not long after, when she was 11 or 12.
The teen also recalled three separate occasions when she spent the night at Rumbaugh's home in in Pleasant Hills. On the first night, nothing happened, she said, but she alleged Rumbaugh raped her the next two times, twice each night.
According to the criminal complaint, Rumbaugh bought alcoholic iced tea for the teen, which she said she drank before the assault, adding 'she didn't feel like herself' at the time. The former Marine also allegedly told her to keep the encounters 'a secret until she was eighteen years old,' according to the court documents.
In 2009, Rumbaugh lost both legs after he stepped on an IED in Afghanistan while helping another Marine to safety. He's been heralded as a war hero and recognized by the U.S. Marines with a Commendation Medal for valor.
He is also the CEO of ACT — which stands for Action Conquers Terror — Motivational Speaking, a company through which he shares his story with the likes of sports teams, Fortune 500 companies, and students.
Rumbaugh is facing multiple charges, including rape, sexual assault, indecent assault and aggravated indecent assault. He remained in jail on Friday without bond.

TSA officer charged with stealing passenger's money at Pittsburgh International Airport
A Transportation Security Administration officer at the Pittsburgh International Airport is facing charges for allegedly stealing money from a passenger during the screening process. Allegheny County police said 39-year-old Richard Bruce was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after investigators received a report from a passenger about missing money on Wednesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the TSA said it's aware of the charges and Bruce has been placed on administrative leave. The TSA said it's cooperating with law enforcement but the spokesperson didn't share any other details, citing an ongoing investigation. "TSA holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and we do not tolerate behavior that violates these standards or the public's trust," the TSA spokesperson said in a statement. A spokesperson for the Pittsburgh International Airport said that while Bruce isn't employed by the airport, Bruce's airport badge has been deactivated. "Safety and security are always the top priority at Pittsburgh International Airport. We take any allegations of theft at the airport seriously and are working with our partner agencies to assist in the investigation," the airport said in a statement.

Pennsylvania law banning cell phone use while driving now in effect
Whether you're driving or stopped at a light, you can now be pulled over for calling, navigating or even holding your phone. The Paul Miller Law went into effect at midnight on June 5. Miller was killed by a distracted driver at just 21 years old in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Now, 15 years later, after the work of his family, a law to protect others is in place. During the law's first year, drivers will get a written warning. Then in 2026, the violation increases to a $50 fine. This law forces drivers to be off all electronic devices while driving, at a stop sign and even while waiting at a stoplight. If you are touching a device, you can be pulled over. Former Ravens Kicker To Sell Baltimore-Area Home
Former Ravens Kicker To Sell Baltimore-Area Home originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Justin Tucker era of Baltimore Ravens football is over, and in the weeks after his release, both parties seem to be moving on. Advertisement According to CBS News, the former Ravens kicker will list his Baltimore-area home for sale as his NFL career sits on hold. 'The 6,480 square foot house in Owings Mills will be on the market starting June 6 for $3.2 million,' Adam Thompson wrote. 'According to the listing, there are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. ''Pristine modern home that feels like you've just stepped into new construction,' the description says. 'Coming soon!'' Owings Mills, Maryland, is 20 miles and approximately 25 minutes from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. As the NFL continues its investigation into Tucker's sexual misconduct allegations, his career hangs in the balance. Over a dozen Baltimore-area massage therapists accused Tucker of inappropriate acts during their sessions. A suspension, if the league's findings implicate the kicker, would be in order. Advertisement For reference, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was suspended 11 games for his sexual misconduct allegations. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh recently elaborated on the team's decision to release Tucker. "I mean, you're talking about arguably the best kicker in the history of the game," Harbaugh said, via ESPN. "And like we said, it's multi-layered [and] it's complicated. But in the end, it all comes back to what you have to do to get ready for your team to play the first game. And I think if you step back and you take a look at all the issues and all the ramifications, you can understand that we've got to get our football team ready and we've got to have a kicker to go. And that was the move that we decided to make." For now, Baltimore will turn to rookie kicker Tyler Loop, an Arizona product who was taken with the No. 186 pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Rookie kickers are inherently unstable, but Tucker's departure takes an awful lot of pressure off of him this summer.
