MILLIONS of Sky Sports viewers are being urged to check their TV guides today as a major reshuffle hits the channel line-up.
The shake-up hits customers across the UK and Ireland from today, July 28, with rebrands, renames and major channel moves across Sky's satellite, Glass and Stream services.

Sky has confirmed that Sky Sports The Lions (Satellite 408/865 – Sky Glass/Stream 408) will revert to its original name, Sky Sports Action/Sky Sports Action HD, after a temporary rebrand.
Sky 2025 Recap (Satellite 302 – Sky Glass/Stream 302) will also be temporarily renamed Favourites HD.
Meanwhile, a wide reshuffle of the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) will see many popular channels move to new positions. In the UK on satellite, Sky Sports+ HD is moving from 412 to 404.
The broadcaster routinely makes changes to its channel line-up, particularly to reflect seasonal sports coverage or temporary promotions.
Earlier this year, Sky Fantasy was reverted back to Sky Family (Satellite 306/850 – Sky Glass/Stream 306) after a seasonal rebrand.
Sky Hits HD (Satellite 303 – Sky Glass/Stream 303) was renamed Sky Originals HD, and Sky Superheroes (Satellite 302 – Sky Glass/Stream 302) switched to Sky 5* Movies HD.
In previous reshuffles, several fan favourites have also disappeared completely.
Eurosport channels were removed as their content merged with TNT Sports. Pop Max, a children's channel, and Sky History +1 have also been axed.
Fans were left disappointed when ITVBe was dropped in June, although many of its popular reality shows have since moved to a new home.
Virgin Media recently axed several of its legacy music and entertainment channels as it prioritises on-demand content.

Customers were surprised when Virgin's Comedy Central Extra and MTV Base were quietly removed from the line-up.
Freeview has also caused frustration after dropping BBC News HD in some regions, and reducing coverage of channels like Forces TV and PBS America.
ITV made waves when it merged its standalone channels like CITV into its new streaming service ITVX, effectively removing the long-standing kids' channel from live schedules.
Viewers are now being urged to recheck their guides to avoid missing any major sporting events or live matches.
More channel closures 'inevitable'
An industry expert told The Sun that more channel closures are likely in 2025 and beyond.
"This is inevitable, more broadcasters will cull broadcast/linear TV channels as viewers are flocking to streaming services," Paolo Pescatore from PP Foresight said.
"The big TV switch off is around the corner, with all programming set to be delivered via the internet.
"Viewers are now spoilt for choice with how and where they watch the TV shows they love across a range of connected devices.
"To respond, broadcasters need to be prepared and work more closely with telecom providers to ensure a seamless experience for users."

Super League expansion may put vital partnership with Sky Sports in jeopardy
Super League's long-term partnership with Sky Sports that bankrolls the sport could be jeopardised by plans to expand the competition to 14 teams next season. The existing 12 Super League clubs voted in favour of expansion earlier this week following the recommendations of a strategic review led by the Rugby Football League chair, Nigel Wood, but the Guardian has learned that the plan has yet to be endorsed by their broadcast partner. Under the terms of the current deal, Sky broadcasts every Super League game live, but it is understood that the cost of televising an extra game across 27 rounds next year would be around £500,000. The Guardian has been told Sky is reluctant to pick up the additional cost for matches it did not buy in a tender process that concluded almost two years ago, and has no intention of increasing its rights fees to support two extra clubs. Sky's three-year deal to provide exclusive live coverage of Super League enters its final 12 months next season, and while there is no suggestion of the broadcaster terminating that contract, senior sources have indicated that the expansion could affect negotiations over future deals. RL Commercial officials are understood to have been locked in discussions with Sky since the vote on Monday about what expansion means for the existing contract, and have yet to receive the reassurances they are looking for. Sky has been Super League's broadcast partner since the competition launched in 1996 and around 170 games will be shown live this season, but the value of the contract has dropped significantly in recent years. Officials who were present at the meeting at Headingley that approved expansion have privately admitted that one of their big concerns was how the broadcaster would react to the decision, as well as how the extra games will be financed. Super League clubs are receiving a total of £21.5m from Sky this year compared to £40m in 2021. The comparison with other sports is also alarming, with their £21.5m rights fee less than Sky pays to televise just three Premier League games, while the broadcaster is investing around £20m a year in the Women's Super League from next season in rights fees and production costs. Sky's declining financial backing for rugby league is a major concern for the sport as it prepares to enter the final year of its TV deal, particularly given the limited interest from elsewhere and how reliant rugby league is on its income from the Sky Sports contract. TNT Sports made a speculative offer for the current rights, but it has since spent £200m on a new five-year deal for Premiership Rugby so may not bid again. IMG, the sports marketing agency that manages the grading process which determines Super League membership, are currently leading a tender process for the next broadcast cycle beginning in 2027. Sky declined to comment, but one source at the broadcaster said that rugby league was fighting for its future. In another complication, Sky also broadcasts Australia's National Rugby League, which has held talks about buying a 33% stake in Super League but made clear it sees it as a 10-team competition. Sources in Australia have indicated expansion to 14 teams effectively kills any hope of direct investment into Super League in the near future. With no additional TV money forthcoming following expansion, the Super League clubs have also yet to decide how the extra two teams will be funded next season. A number of clubs are understood to have argued strongly that they will not accept a cut in their own central payments from the Sky deal. Some Championship clubs vying for promotion as part of expansion plans have indicated they would be willing to enter the competition with no central distribution for one season in 2026. Such a move would expose newly promoted clubs to potential financial risk, as well as raise further concerns about the Super League's competitiveness. Financially-troubled Salford were thrashed 82-0 by St Helens at the start of the season, and have conceded 50 points on two more occasions. Brendan Rodgers aims to improve on Celtic's record-breaking attack
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers believes his side are well-prepared for their title defence but he is still keen to improve on the attacking side of their game. The squad is back in Scotland after participating in the Como Cup and counting down to raising the Premiership flag on Sunday ahead of their season opener against St Mirren. Rodgers says their work has gone well over the summer and they are now eagerly anticipating the new season. 'Preparations have gone really, really well,' he told Sky Sports. 'We've worked hard with the team, travelled and played some high-quality games. 'Now we finish the preparations this week and look forward to the game at the weekend.' Last season saw the team win a fourth consecutive title as well as the Premier Sports Cup, and also take huge strides forward in the Champions League after progressing from the new-look League Phase to the knock-out rounds. That success came thanks to 159 goals in competitive games, a record for the 21st century and the most from any Celtic side since the Jock Stein era. Celtic have already signed winger Benjamin Nygren and strikers Shin Yamada and Callum Osmand but have been linked with a number of attacking players with a month still to go in the transfer window. Rodgers wants to build on that goal-laden season and says there are different ways that can be done. 'For us, it's tweaks,' he said. 'Obviously last year we scored the most amount of goals in 50-odd years from any Celtic team. 'That shows you things were very good with the team but clearly you want to improve this season. 'The attacking department will always be the strength of my teams so whether it's through tactical ideas or players, it's an area we always want to improve on.'
