Moment dolphin joins electric surfboard lesson in River Forth

"Nothing can top learning how to eFoil at the Forth Road Bridge while having a dolphin playing with you.'
The 'surprising' moment where a dolphin joined in with two men riding futuristic electric surfboards in the shot of the iconic Forth Road Bridge has been captured.

The incredible encounter was caught on video on Sunday by Lloyd Blyth, 30, owner of eFoil Scotland, who admitted the magical scenes left him and his student 'buzzing' with excitement.

In the clip, the dolphin can be seen gliding up from beneath the surface before launching itself into the air, right next to the electric-powered eFoil boards, which use hydrofoils to lift above the water.

Shouts of 'Woah!' and 'He's coming!' from Lloyd can be heard as the creature playfully darts around them, with the Forth Road Bridge towering in the background.
For Lloyd, who launched eFoil Scotland in 2021, it was an unforgettable moment. He told the Daily Record: 'I had only just got the student out on the water when I saw a splash and I knew straight away that the dolphin was there to join in.
'It is such a rare thing to happen. There is a resident dolphin in South Queensferry who we have seen before, although you cannot guarantee it. We were just so lucky that it joined in with us as you never expect it to.
'It's the closest we have ever been to it. It's so surprising how comfortable and approachable it is.

'I posted a one-minute video of it online but in actual fact it swam with us for around 20 minutes or so. It was loving playing with us.
'I had a guy out on an eFoil teaching him how to do it and the dolphin just kept switching between us both.
'It was getting so close to us and wasn't scared at all. It was an unbelievable experience. You could reach out and touch it with how close it was.'

The dolphin seemed completely at ease, weaving between the instructor and the learner, who communicate using headsets, almost as if it wanted to be part of the lesson.
Lloyd added: 'When you go out on the eFoil. It makes a different sound compared to your standard boat engines.

'I don't know if the noise or frequency from the eFoil attracts them as they know it's play time. It just wanted to come across and join in on the fun.
'The guy I had out was buzzing because not only was he learning how to eFoil, which is good fun in itself, but he got to have such a great experience with a dolphin.
'It spent the majority of the time with him because he was going a bit slower. He was over the moon.'
The experience will be one which lives with Lloyd forever. He continued: 'It will be hard to top learning how to eFoil at the Forth Road Bridge, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, while also having a dolphin playing with you.'

Prince Andrew escapes bombshell book revelations by secretly fleeing to Balmoral

The Duke of York is having his reputation shredded again thanks to a bombshell new book which made a number of startling claims about his life. Prince Andrew has fled from Royal Lodge up to Balmoral to spend the end of summer with the rest of the Royal Family, according to reports. ‌ Andrew is having his reputation shredded once again thanks to a bombshell new book which made a number of startling claims about his life. ‌ Last time the Duke of York was embroiled in such a scandal was last December when he was linked to an alleged Chinese spy who was named following a High Court judgement. ‌ The backlash was so heavy that, to avoid being a distraction, he "honourably withdrew" from joining the Firm at their annual gathering in Sandringham last Christmas. However, as reported by the Scottish Daily Express, this time around he has been allowed to join King Charles, Queen Camilla and other members of the Royal Family at Balmoral despite facing a string of sordid revelations about him. These include allegations that he is a sex addict and ended up in a physical fight with Prince Harry. Historian Andrew Lownie's book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, includes a number of never-before-heard stories about Andrew's life, including his close friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as well as his mysterious financial dealings with foreign billionaires from the likes of Kazakhstan. It also details how he treated and "bullied" Palace staff, had a vulgar sense of humour and enjoyed sexual relations with other women while married to Fergie. He was also "punched in the nose" by Prince Harry during a heated fall-out, although this has been denied by Harry. ‌ According to the Daily Mail's Richard Eden, Andrew "arrived at Balmoral on Friday." He "was on his own, with none of the security he used to have. He is believed to be staying at a lodge on the estate." His arrival was three days before King Charles headed up north. His ex-wife Fergie and their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, will join him later this week. The monarch received an official welcome to Balmoral Castle on Monday, marking the start of his regular summer holiday in the late Queen's favourite haunt. He wore a tweed jacket and a tartan kilt, with the King also inspecting a Guard of Honour formed of Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland during a ceremony outside the Castle Gates. He greeted their mascot, Shetland pony Corporal Cruachan IV. Queen Camila was not with Charles as she was out on a shopping trip with her daughter Laura and her grandchildren in the nearby village of Ballater. The King is likely to spend most of his holiday at his beloved Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate. A source told the Mail: "It remains to be seen whether Andrew spends any time at all with his brother."

Katie Price and boyfriend JJ Slater clash in new video promoting 'Turkey teeth'

Katie Price and JJ clashed on camera while promoting their new veneers. Katie Price, having been the centre of several scandals lately, clashed with her boyfriend JJ Slater in their latest online video, where they promoted their new veneers. Katie, 47, and the MAFS star, 32, were promoting Triodent's veneers after they recently headed off to Turkey together. ‌ During the clip, Katie took the lead in promoting the veneers and said she was giving out a huge discount, before JJ jumped in and emphasised how 'huge' the discount was, reported The Mirror. ‌ Katie said: 'Well, you don't have to go over the top'. The couple clashed again at the end of the video, where JJ said the discount was from 'Us to you', as Katie then said: 'From me to you'. ‌ JJ then looked surprisingly at Katie and then corrected her to 'Us', to which she replied: 'Alright' and sighed. It comes after Katie released a statement regarding her ex Alex Reid's leaked bombshell cash counting video. The video of the reality star couple follows after Katie recently showed off her brand-new face after going under the knife for another round of cosmetic surgery. The mum-of-five was spotted in Istanbul last week with her face heavily bandaged following her latest procedure. After forking out a whopping £10,000 on a facelift earlier this year, Katie has had a string of more procedures, including a lip lift correction, brow lift, and a new eye lift as part of her ongoing transformation. A plastic surgeon and Senior Medical Director at CREO previously spoke to The Mirror about the dangers of having too many surgeries and cosmetic procedures. ‌ He issued a warning about the risks involved with surgery, saying: "Repeated surgeries can lead to scar tissue build-up, nerve damage, and skin thinning, which may complicate future procedures.' It comes after Katie is at the centre of an alleged new legal row with her exes, as Alex Reid leaked a video of her counting a wad of cash while bankrupt. ‌ The footage was shared yesterday by Alex, who said in a statement that 'the truth will now be heard'. Following the release of the video, Katie released a statement of her own, explaining that the cash in the video didn't belong to the Mucky Mansion star. Katie was declared bankrupt twice, first in 2019 over debts totalling £3.5m, including £970,639 to HMRC and then again last March over a second £761,994 unpaid HMRC demand for money earned while she was already bankrupt. Peter Andre has also reportedly called his lawyers following the release of the video, where Katie deemed his kids with his wife Emily 'irrelevant'. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Karen Bucknall has battled cancer, and has been left with recurring health issues. A performer at the Edinburgh Fringe has opened up about her experience of visiting Scotland, and travelling without letting her health problems limit her opportunities. ‌ Karen Bucknall, from Birmingham, said her "dream came true" after performing two comedy shows at a bar in the capital. ‌ The 55-year-old admitted she "didn't know what the future holds" after her health deteriorated following a cancer diagnosis. ‌ However, she decided to take a leap and travel north of the border to perform at the famous festival. Karen told our sister title Edinburgh Live: "I had the time of my life in Edinburgh, it really was a dream come true - with my cancer journey, you never know what will happen so I just went for it. "I always wanted to do the festival, whether it was acting, poetry, stand-up or comedy. I recently lost my dad and he supported me and loved a good comedian. "I just went for it and did it now. I got two slots at Bar50 and I searched everywhere for a cheap hotel in Edinburgh. The Scottish people looked after me so well." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! In 2019, she was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer, and underwent radiotherapy and surgery. The cancer then spread, requiring six months of chemotherapy, before she received the all clear in July 2020. ‌ However, she has suffered repeated bowel and bladder issues in the years since, as well as a bad cough and sore throat. Karen explained that she forgets what she is going through when she performs on stage. Going to the festival was a last-minute decision, but she already wants to come back next year. ‌ She added: "No word of a lie, going up to Edinburgh is the furthest I have been in about 12 years. Going up to Scotland in itself was an achievement. "When I am on stage, I feel happy and I forget my journey. When the audience laugh at your misfortune, they get it. "The people of Edinburgh were so lovely. I got lost several times and the amount of people that helped me were so friendly. "Everyone was so kind and supportive. I hope to do the Fringe again next year all being well."
