Ibb holds central celebration of al-Wilayah
Ibb – Saba:
The Great Prophet Square in Ibb City on Saturday hosted a central celebration for Eid al-Ghadir, marking the Day of al-Wilayah of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
The event, attended by Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah and Deputy Ministers of Education Dr. Hatem Al-Duais and Justice Judge Ibrahim al-Shami, emphasized that Imam Ali's al-Wilayah is an extension of the Prophet's and God Almighty's al-Wilayah.
Judge al-Shami highlighted the importance of sincere and practical loyalty, asserting that the Yemeni people's return to the path of guardianship has contributed to Yemen's achievements in confronting "global arrogance" and supporting Gaza.
He stressed that adherence to this path protects the nation from deviation and allegiance to its enemies, the Jews and Christians.
Abdulfattah Ghallab, the governorate's mobilization official, reviewed Imam Ali's biography, emphasizing his courageous stances and role in upholding Islamic faith.
He explained that allegiance to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali is a behavioral and practical commitment. Dr. Muhammad Murshid discussed the concept of guardianship, its importance, and the benefits of returning to it, noting that the "culture of Ghadir" provides a model that preserves the nation's authenticity.

Without sustained aid, she cautioned, 6 million more could face emergency food insecurity. Despite challenges, Msuya highlighted progress. A critical Aden-Sana'a road reopened after seven years, for instance, and the EU pledged €80 million in humanitarian funding. Operations, however, are hamstrung by funding gaps. She emphasized: 'Humanitarians are clearly doing their best, but our response falls short of what Yemen needs.' The ongoing conflict began in 2015 between the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi rebels, and the conflict has left many citizens homeless and in desperate need of assistance. It has been estimated that nearly 4.5 million Yemenis have been displaced, and the country as a whole is at risk of collapsing. The UN Security Council previously voted to extend its full support to monitor the operations in Yemen through the UN Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement, the validity of which lasts until July 14, 2025.
