Celtic were the first team to book their place in the last eight on Friday night after a comfortable 4-1 win over Falkirk.
Rangers joined them in the hat after an unexpected nervy game against Alloa at Ibrox, with the game finishing 4-2.
Also joining the two Old Firm clubs in the next stage includes Aberdeen, Motherwell, Partick Thistle and St Mirren, with Hearts KNOCKED OUT on penalties in Paisley.
Aberdeen ensured they would be in the hat after coasting to a 3-0 win over Morton at Cappielow.
Under-fire striker Kusini Yengi grabbed his first goal for the club.
Partick Thistle got the better of Ayr United in the battle of the Championship sides as former Celtic star Mark Wilson dumped Hoops hero Scott Brown out of the cup.
There are still two outstanding ties to be played with Kilmarnock and Dundee United going head to head at Rugby Park and Livingston hosting Hibs in West Lothian.
Both of those games will kick off at 3pm on Sunday.
For now though, both of the clubs who progress through the tie already know which teams lie in their wait in the quarter-final.
Here's how the quarter-final stage will look.
Quarter-final draw in full
Kilmarnock or Dundee United vs St Mirren
Partick Thistle vs Celtic
Rangers vs Livingston or Hibs
Aberdeen vs Motherwell
The quarter-final ties will be played on the weekend of September 20 /21.

Bob MacInytre suffers BMW Championship agony as Scottie Scheffler overhauls Oban hero's four point deficit
It wasn't to be for the Oban star who had held a four shot lead over Scheffler going into the final day of play in Maryland Bob MacIntyre was left reeling after Scottie Scheffler overturned a four-shot lead to reign supreme at the BMW Championship. The Scottish hero had gone into the final day in Maryland with a healthy advantage after a stellar display on Saturday but was simply no watch for the American in the end, who pipped him to the PGA title by two shots. World number one and three-time major champion Scheffler capped off a fine comeback with an exquisite chip-in on the 17th hole to edge him towards victory at the Caves Valley Golf Club. The New Jersey star's glory in 2025 is showing no signs of slowing down, adding the BMW title to the PGA Championship and Open Championship crowns lifted by Scheffler earlier this year. It turned out to be a disappointing final day for MacIntyre who bogeyed his first two holes and wasn't able to register a birdie until the third-last whole. The 2024 Scottish Open winner shot 73 in total, with Scheffler finishing on a 15-under-par total after a final score of 67. Maverick McNealy finished third on 11 under. Elswwhe Shane Lowry comfortably qualified for the PGA Tour 's season-ending Tour Championship for only the second time in his career while Rory McIlroy bounced back five birdies from the ninth hole for a level-par round of a three under total score of 70. Speaking after his triumph, Scheffler said: "I think my consistency has a lot to do with the intensity I bring to each round. " I try not to take days or shots off. "When it gets to this time of the year it can be a little bit tiring, today was a grind." Steaua Bucharest in derby day collapse ahead of Aberdeen clash as boss goes against madcap owner's Dons prediction
The Bucharest giants were left reeling after dropping two points against bitter rivals Rapid Steaua Bucharest boss Elias Charalambou insists Aberdeen will be no push overs in their Europa League play-off showdown - despite some suggestions from the Romanian camp that progress to the group stages will be something of a formality. FCSB warmed up for their trip to Pittodrie for the first leg on Thursday by squandering a two goal lead in their derby day draw with Rapid Bucharest. The away team had led 2-0 going into the final seven minutes only to drop two points by conceding twice to leave them in 13th place in the league standings with just one victory from their first six matches. But Cypriot coach Charalambou reckons his team are heading in the right direction and is anticipating a stiff test against Jimmy Thelin 's men in four days time. After the draw with Rapid, he said: "Our evolution was very good, but unfortunately we did not take all the points. I think we are slowly starting to get closer to our very good form. "We will have a very difficult match in the Europa League play-off. We have to recover and we will try to qualify for the League group." That sentiment was shared by star midfielder Florin Tanase, who also felt Rapid were extremely fortunate to claim a share of the spoils. He added: "Overall, they didn't deserve any points tonight. There was no fatigue. I think we played a good game. "Rapid didn't create any chances and they are a team with valuable players. I think we played a good match. We have to look to the future. I feel good and we will definitely play better and better matches. "We are forced to give everything against Aberdeen. "Aberdeen is not an easy team, but we have demonstrated many times that we can fight with teams in Europe. This match gives us confidence that we will grow." It comes after madcap FCSB owner and controversial former politician Gigi Becali admitted he is already counting the cash inflow that qualifying for the group stage will bring to his club. He said: "I know we will get at least £12 million when we qualify. "Unlike Cluj and Universitatea Craiova, we will be playing in the group stages of the Europa League. "I am not interested in Aberdeen or how they play - I have no time or interest in watching football from other European countries."

Forgotten Scotland striker Oli McBurnie capped off an excellent week with his new club Hull City by providing two assists and netting a stoppage-time winner in the Tigers' 3-2 Championship win over Oxford United. McBurnie signed for Hull City on a free transfer on August 6 after spending a year in Spain with Las Palmas, who were relegated from La Liga at the end of last season. He scored in the midweek EFL Cup defeat by Wrexham in his first start for the Humberside club and then dazzled in front of his new supporters at the MKM Stadium. He then put the gloss on a fine individual performance when he calmly found the bottom-left corner in second-half stoppage time. Oli McBurnie celebrates his winning goal for Hull. | Getty Images McBurnie agreed a contract with Hull until the summer of 2028 and his manager Sergej Jakirovic highlighted Oli McBurnie's 'experience and quality' after the Tigers built upon their opening-day 0-0 draw at Coventry City. 'That was his second goal in his second game and two assists, I think,' said Jakirovic. 'He was from the beginning our first wish (in the transfer window). He was not with us at the first weeks this summer, but he can run and knows the very league very well. 'He is massive for us. He has experience and quality and it's very promising for us.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Hull are still awaiting news from an appeal against a transfer embargo, which means they are unable to pay a fee for a player until January 2027. Fellow Scot Kyle Joseph came on as a second-half substitute, while former Rangers man John Lundstram started. Capped 16 times by Scotland, McBurnie has not featured for the national team since he scored a penalty in the Euro 2020 play-off shoot-out triumph over Serbia four years ago. He missed out on the squad for the tournament and has been exiled ever since. McBurnie spoke last season of his desire to get back into the Scotland set-up and will hope that his form has caught the eye of national team head coach Steve Clarke, who is expected to name his squad for the September World Cup qualifiers against Denmark and Belarus after next weekend's fixtures. Dykes on target late for Birmingham One striker who also staked his claim for a place in the Scotland squad is Lyndon Dykes, who netted eight minutes into stoppage time for Birmingham City as they came back from a goal down to defeat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park.
