Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani won big at the National Film Awards. Along with it, Rani Mukerji and Shah Rukh Khan also received National Awards for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively. This victory for Karan Johar is like a full-circle moment, as he had won the first National Award of his life for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Rani and SRK.
As Shah Rukh and Rani celebrate their victory, Karan took to his Instagram and penned a heartfelt note. Sharing a picture of SRK and Rani from Jawan and Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, along with a snapshot from their old days, Karan wrote, 'Taking a pause in our celebrations to celebrate my friends for their cinema!!!"

Further heaping praises on SRK, Johar continued, '@iamsrk bhai… this has been 33 years in the making and I can't help but beam with pride. Meanwhile, Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani bagged two major honours — one for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and the second for the famous song Dhindhora Baje Re, with Vaibhavi Merchant winning Best Choreography.

Dhadak 2 box office collection Day 7: Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer Dhadak 2 hit the theatres recently. However, the film failed to draw crowds to the theatres, despite the positive word of mouth. The Hindi remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal was expected to break records like Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's latest romantic blockbuster, but the box office numbers have been underwhelming till now. According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned Rs 1 crore on the seventh day of release, which is its lowest amount ever. The total India net collection of the first week now stand at Rs 16.44 crore. The film recorded Rs 3.5 crore on its first day, and witnessed slight growth over the first weekend, with Sunday being the highest earning day at Rs 4.15 crore. However, the movie faced a dip again on Monday. On day 7 (Thursday) at the box office, Dhadak 2 had an overall 12.00% Hindi occupancy, with morning shows at 8.40%, afternoon shows at 13.99%, evening shows standing at 10.92%, and night shows at 14.68%. Dhadak 2 is facing touch competition from sevral other releases – Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur starrer Son of Sardaar 2, the devotional animated film Mahavatar Narsimha, and Mohit Suri's record-breaking romantic drama Saiyaara. In fact, Son of Sardaar 2 has overshadowed Dhadak 2 in its first week of release. Given that there are no new releases this Friday, Dhadak 2 has this weekend to show growth. We aren't shown the people up close ; they are blurs in the distance. A romance flowers between the two, but the passion feels a trifle performative. Coming off from 'Saiyaara' where the two young lovers burn up the screen, about the only really effective thing about that film, you feel this even more intensely. Individually, though, both make us watch, and in some places, Dimri more than Chaturvedi.' Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures, the film is a spiritual sequel to the first part Dhadak, which was released in 2018.
