Yahoo27-05-2025
The TT Circuit Assen in the Drenthe region of the Netherlands will host the 80th edition of the Motocross of Nations (MXoN), marking the 10th time the event has been held on Dutch soil, according to an announcement made by Infront Moto, the promoter of the international race. The first race of the iconic series was raced at Wassenaar in 1947, with Great Britain victorious.
"We are proud to bring the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations back to Assen in 2027," said David Luongo, CEO of Infront Moto. "The previous edition at this legendary venue left a lasting impression on fans and teams alike, and the Netherlands has always played a key role in the history of our sport.

"Hosting the 80th edition of this iconic event at such an iconic circuit is the perfect combination."
Assen most recently hosted the MXoN when the home team of Jeffrey Herlings, Calvin Vlaanderen, and Glenn Coldenhoff won the event on a muddy track in 2019. The United States team finished sixth that year.
The circuit will be built on top of the tarmac of the circuit's final corners and pit lane complex, with the local area's sand being an integral part of the design.
"It's truly exciting to see the continued evolution and professionalization of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations," said Antonio Alia, FIM / CMS Director. "Returning to the Netherlands in 2027 brings back memories of an unforgettable edition in Assen, where, despite difficult weather, the organization, facilities, and teamwork demonstrated what's possible when everyone works together at the highest level. With the support of the KNMV [the local organizer] and the experienced team behind the 2019 success, we're confident that 2027 will not only meet expectations but help set new standards for the future of this great event."

Deal of the Day 5-star average rating from 127 reviews at Sur La Table This popular large Dutch oven from Le Creuset is the ideal size for cooking for a crowd and/or making multiple servings of your favorite meals. It's completely oven safe up to 500 degrees and works on all cooktops, according to the brand. It's also dishwasher safe, but the brand recommends washing by hand to help maintain its quality over time. It has two loop handles on the sides, making it easy to move around the kitchen or place in the oven. Since it's made of cast iron, it distributes heat extremely well, meaning your food comes out more evenly cooked. 5-star average rating from 700 reviews at Sur La Table This set from Staub has a small, medium and large rectangular baking dish, all of which are perfect for cooking casseroles, side dishes, baked goods and much more ahead of fall. These stoneware baking dishes have handles on the sides, and they retain heat well, helping your food stay warm hours after taking it out of the oven. They're also microwave, freezer and oven safe up to 572 degrees. 4.3-star average rating from 91 reviews at Sur La Table A cast iron skillet is a must in every kitchen because they can cook almost anything. Fantasy Premier League: Best budget FPL players to consider

Smart coaches are already beyond the clear selections to find value in the transfer market as the new Fantasy Premier League campaign draws near. Although high-value assets dominate the FPL news, it is the budget players that can make the difference. Five outstanding FPL budget options who might beat their low-cost values this season are listed below. Fantasy Premier League: Best budget FPL assets in 2025/26 Martin Dubravka – Burnley (£4m) Newcastle United's former number one has secured a fresh start at newly-promoted Burnley, and at just £4 million, he represents exceptional value. The 36-year-old Slovakia international brings seven-and-a-half years of Premier League experience to Turf Moor. Also it is highly likely for him to be only first-choice goalkeeper at £4m in FPL. Joe Rodon – Leeds (£4m) The Welsh international has become a cornerstone of Leeds United's defence and represents outstanding value at just £4m. Rodon played every single minute of Leeds' successful promotion campaign, helping the club secure their return to the Premier League after a two-year absence. Tijjani Reijnders – Manchester City (£5.5m) Manchester City's summer signing from AC Milan could prove to be one of the bargains of the season at £5.5 million. The 26-year-old Dutch international was named Serie A's Best Midfielder in 2024/25 after a stellar campaign that saw him score 15 goals in 54 appearances for Milan. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – Everton (£5m) Everton's new signing represents excellent value at £5m, particularly given his proven Premier League track record. The 26-year-old midfielder played a pivotal role in Leicester City's 2023/24 Championship triumph, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists in 44 matches during their promotion-winning campaign. Jorgen Strand Larsen – Wolves (£6.5m) The Norwegian striker has made his loan move from Celta Vigo permanent after an impressive debut Premier League season. Strand Larsen scored 14 goals in his first campaign. Among players with at least 20 shots last season, Strand Larsen boasted the third-best conversion rate at 25.9% and the second-highest shooting accuracy at 69.4%. The 25-year-old's physical presence proved crucial, winning 67 aerial duels throughout the season. With Matheus Cunha's departure to Manchester United, Strand Larsen is likely to inherit penalty duties, adding further appeal to his FPL profile. The Budget FPL players Strategy These five players provide FPL managers the ideal mix of upside potential and cheapness. Finding true quality at reduced pricing can give the base for a successful season in a game where budget restrictions force tough choices. Recognising value throughout all pricing ranges and creating a balanced team will be crucial to success in 2025/26. Read – See more – Follow The Football Faithful on Social Media: | | | |

Manchester United injury update: Andre Onana and Lisandro Martinez latest news and return dates

Manchester United finished their pre-season unbeaten for the first time since 2019, but Ruben Amorim has been left sweating over the availability of four first-team stars before his side's Premier League opener against Arsenal. With the Red Devils hosting the Gunners at Old Trafford on Sunday, August 17, the injury status of Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, Joshua Zirkzee and Noussair Mazraoui is still up in the air. Indeed, none of the foursome were involved or even named on the bench as United played their final friendly of the summer at home to Fiorentina last Saturday. Will Amorim get some positive updates on their injuries this week? Here's a look at the latest Manchester United injury news… Andre Onana Amorim's current No1 goalkeeper has been absent for the entirety of pre-season with a hamstring injury that he picked up in the first week of pre-season training at Carrington. His absence has meant Altay Bayindir has deputised during the summer, with veteran goalie Tom Heaton as back-up, though there have been a litany of rumours linking the Red Devils to a new shot-stopper throughout this transfer window, from a failed approach for Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez to a potentially ongoing pursuit of the likes of Paris Saint-Germain's Gianluigi Donnarumma. No such moves have materialised yet though, and the Cameroon international was pictured back in training during the Premier League Summer Series despite not taking part in any matchday action in the United States. Earlier this month, he also revealed he was targeting a return for the start of the Premier League season. 'I feel good, I feel great,' Onana said on August 3. 'It's been a few difficult weeks, but yeah, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season.' Taking him at his word unless we hear any different during the week, that sets Onana up to reclaim his position between the posts for the visit of Arsenal this weekend. Potential return date: Lisandro Martinez Argentine centre-back Martinez is continuing his comeback from an ACL injury that has kept him side-lined since February and saw him undergo surgery earlier this year. He travelled to the US with the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour but, like Onana, has not set foot on the pitch aside from some training sessions he was pictured at towards the latter stages of that trip. An important defensive cog on the left of Amorim's ideal back three, United will hope Martinez's recovery continues to progress, but there's been no specific timeframe placed on his return yet. Potential return date: Joshua Zirkzee The Dutch forward has not featured for United this pre-season either, due to an unspecified injury - believed to be muscular in nature - sustained prior to the tour. Like the others, he also travelled to the US but is not thought to have participated in team training whilst abroad. However, Zirkzee was pictured training with the rest of the Red Devils squad at Carrington earlier this week, after suggesting he was aiming to be ready for the Arsenal match. 'I've got a small injury, but it shouldn't take too long to recover now,' Zirkzee said on July 28. 'I've got great physios working with me every day. It's pre-season, so unlike last season, where I wanted to push myself to be back for the [Europa League] final, now I just want to be there for the start of the season.' Potential return date: Noussair Mazraoui Moroccan defender Mazraoui was another absentee from the action across the pond, after being taken off at half-time of United's pre-season opener versus Leeds in Stockholm last month. He is believed to have picked up a knock in that match, though the exact nature of his injury has not been specified by the club. The 27-year-old hasn't been pictured in training as recently as the others, leaving his return date a little more vague. With positional rival Diogo Dalot available and Amad Diallo having played the majority of pre-season at right wing-back, Amorim may not feel the need to rush Mazraoui back before he's ready. Potential return date:
