Pobega already spent last season on loan with an option to buy for €12m, but the club decided not to activate it, hoping instead to negotiate a better deal.
That could arrive as part of a package with two other players who are not part of Max Allegri's plans at San Siro.

Adli is another midfielder who was on loan, this time at Fiorentina, and has been told to find himself a different destination this summer.
Okafor returned to base after six months on loan at Scudetto winners Napoli, despite barely setting foot on the pitch during that spell.
Besiktas and Fenerbahce have both approached Milan for Okafor, but they wanted him on loan with an option to buy, whereas the Rossoneri are determined to sell outright.

With Micah Parsons officially requesting a trade from the Dallas Cowboys, an old clip of his father, Terrence Parsons, talking about preferred destinations for his son in a hypothetical trade scenario has resurfaced. During an appearance on the "Life in the Stands" podcast in December 2024, Parsons' dad stated that his preferred trade landing spots for the superstar edge rusher are the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Detroit Lions. "I know Pittsburgh fans are like, 'whoa,' but I'm sorry, him [Micah Parsons] and [T.J.] Watt together would be like cheating," Terrence Parsons said. "Him and [Aidan] Hutchinson together in Detroit would be like cheating. I love it. Kansas City, that's who they are right now." Parsons requested a trade out of Dallas due to the franchise's lack of communication with his agent. The 26-year-old's relationship with the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones seems to be completely destroyed. Dallas has no plans of trading Parsons, but if they can't agree on a long-term extension with him, they may be forced to move him at some point. Parsons' father's landing spots for the four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher are bold. Adding Parsons to Kansas City's defense would be lethal, while pairing the disgruntled Cowboy with Watt or Hutchinson in Detroit would also be pretty much unstoppable. However, none of the teams Parsons' dad listed as preferred spots have the money to sign Parsons to a record-breaking extension. The Chiefs are slated to have negative $61 million in cap space next offseason, and the Steelers already have two expensive edge rushers in Watt and Alex Highsmith. As for the Lions, the team must prioritize getting an extension done with Hutchinson first, which likely takes them out of the running for Parsons. It's possible that Parsons lands with one of three destinations his dad spoke about during a podcast appearance last year, as all three franchises are playoff contenders, and two are legitimate Super Bowl contenders in Kansas City and Detroit. However, it remains to be seen whether any have the money to sign Parsons to a new deal after trading valuable picks for him while also keeping their core together. US keeper Turner joins Lyon from Notts Forest, loaned to MLS
US international goalkeeper Matt Turner on Friday signed for Lyon from Nottingham Forest with the French club loaning him immediately to MLS side New England Revolution. Lyon paid eight million euros ($9.2 million) for the 31-year-old who has 52 caps for the United States. A 10 percent profit-sharing interest on the capital gain of a potential future transfer is included in the transaction. Turner's loan to the New England Revolution comes with a three-million euro purchase option. Turner moved to Forest from Arsenal in August 2023 and played 21 times in all competitions before heading to Crystal Palace in the 2024/25 season, in a year-long loan deal. He helped Crystal Palace win their first major trophy after beating Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final in Wembley in May. Lyon also announced it had loaned Croatian international defender Duje Caleta-Car to Spanish club Real Sociedad for one year with a four million euro purchase option. Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett returns to the practice field after hamstring injury
BEREA, Ohio (AP) — Quarterback Kenny Pickett returned to the field for the Cleveland Browns on Friday after missing three practices because of a hamstring injury. Pickett did only individual work and did not participate in any team drills. It was still a step forward for the four-year veteran, who was expected to be out at least a week after getting hurt during a red-zone drill late in practice on July 26. 'Disappointed that he's not full go, but he's very much involved in everything we're doing,' coach Kevin Stefanski said. Pickett is vying with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders for the starting quarterback spot. Cleveland opens the season on Sept. 7 against Cincinnati. The Browns have three more practices scheduled before traveling to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. Stefanski did not say if he anticipated Pickett would be full go for the joint workout. During the first four practices of training camp, Pickett and Flacco received most of the snaps with the first team. Even though Flacco has experience with the Browns after leading them to a playoff spot in 2023, Stefanski is eager to see what Pickett can do. The coaching staff likes Pickett's mobility and ability to create plays on the run. Pickett was acquired from Philadelphia in March. A 2022 first-round draft selection by Pittsburgh, Pickett has 25 career starts with 15 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Stefanski did not say if he anticipated narrowing the quarterback field before he got to Carolina for the joint workouts and the first preseason game on Aug. 8. If Pickett is healthy, it is likely he and Flacco would get the work in the joint workouts, with Gabriel and Sanders then playing in the preseason game. 'I think for all of our positions, every single day is an important part of getting ready for the season and part of the evaluation.
