Now, you can generate videos with audio in Gemini with Veo 3: How it works
Google is expanding access to its AI-powered video generation model, Veo 3, for Google AI Pro subscribers. Previously limited to Ultra plan users, Veo 3 is now available through Flow—Google's AI filmmaking platform—and the Gemini mobile app. The model, introduced at Google I/O last month, supports native audio generation that syncs with visuals, allowing Pro users to create more immersive video content.
Google stated that in regions where the Ultra Plan is active, AI Pro subscribers will now get limited access to Veo 3 within Flow, along with a 10-pack of trial video generations in the Gemini app. Meanwhile, Ultra subscribers will continue to enjoy higher generation limits. Google also noted that users will be notified when they approach their usage limit, including how many generations remain.
While Veo 3 access for Pro subscribers is officially limited to countries where the Ultra Plan is available—and India is not currently on that list—some users in India have started seeing the Veo 3 option within the Gemini app. This suggests that an official rollout in the region may be on the horizon.
Google Veo 3 in Gemini app: How to generate videos
Open the Gemini mobile app on your smartphone.
Ensure you have an active Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
In the text box, type a prompt describing the video you want to generate.
Below the text box, tap More > Video > Submit.
Videos generated using Veo 3 in the Gemini app are 8 seconds long and include audio. To download the video, simply tap on the video and then select Download.
Google Veo 3: What is new?
Veo 3, the latest version of Google's video generation model, was unveiled at last month's I/O event. It builds on previous iterations with the ability to not only create realistic visuals from text prompts but also generate matching audio, including ambient sounds and character dialogue.
'Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing. It's great at understanding; you can tell a short story in your prompt, and the model gives you back a clip that brings it to life,' Google said in a blog post.
Veo 3 also powers Flow, Google's AI filmmaking platform, which enables paid users to generate 1080p resolution videos, leverage advanced camera controls, extend existing footage, and more.

Facebook parent Meta becomes the latest American company to 'go nuclear' for AI
Meta has signed a 20-year agreement to secure nuclear power to meet the growing energy demands for artificial intelligence and other computing needs at Facebook's parent company. According to a report by Associated Press, the deal will also boost the output of Constellation Energy's Clinton Clean Energy Center in Illinois. Announced on June 3, the agreement is part of a broader trend of tech companies partnering with nuclear energy providers as AI usage surges. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Clinton plant, originally set to close in 2017 due to financial losses, was sustained by Illinois' zero-emission credit program, which expires in 2027, as per the report. The Meta deal, effective from June 2027, will increase the plant's clean energy output by 30 megawatts, preserve 1,100 local jobs, and generate $13.5 million in annual tax revenue, the companies said. 'Securing clean, reliable energy is necessary to continue advancing our AI ambitions,' Meta's head of global energy, Urvi Parekh, said. The report notes that tech giants face dual pressures: increasing energy supplies for AI and data centers while meeting ambitious greenhouse gas reduction goals. Constellation, which owns the shuttered Three Mile Island plant, announced in September a plan to restart it to supply Microsoft's data centers, the AP reports. The Pennsylvania plant was the site of the U.S.' worst commercial nuclear accident in 1979. Amazon and Google have also invested in small nuclear reactors, with Amazon announcing plans two days after Google last fall, and Google investing in three advanced nuclear projects with Elementl Power last month, according to the report. The AP report adds that 25 states passed legislation supporting advanced nuclear energy last year, with over 200 nuclear-friendly bills introduced this year, per the Nuclear Energy Institute. However, the U.S. faces challenges in scaling nuclear production, with no next-generation reactors operating commercially and only two new large reactors built in nearly 50 years, completed significantly over budget and behind schedule in Georgia, the AP states. Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are also investing in solar and wind energy, which produce no greenhouse gas emissions, the AP adds. AI Masterclass for Students. Upskill Young Ones Today!– Join Now

Meta becomes latest big tech company turning to nuclear power for its AI needs
Washington: Meta has cut a 20-year deal to secure nuclear power to help meet surging demand for artificial intelligence and other computing needs at Facebook's parent company. The investment with Meta will also expand the output of a Constellation Energy Illinois nuclear plant. The agreement announced Tuesday is just the latest in a string of tech-nuclear partnerships as the use of AI expands. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Constellation's Clinton Clean Energy Centre was actually slated to close in 2017 after years of financial losses but was saved by legislation in Illinois establishing a zero-emission credit program to support the plant into 2027. The Meta-Constellation deal takes effect in June of 2027, when the state's taxpayer funded zero-emission credit programme expires. With the arrival of Meta, Clinton's clean energy output will expand by 30 megawatts, preserve 1,100 local jobs and bring in $13.5 million in annual tax revenue, according to the companies. "Securing clean, reliable energy is necessary to continue advancing our AI ambitions," said Urvi Parekh, Meta's head of global energy. Constellation, the owner of the shuttered Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, said in September that it planned to restart the reactor so tech giant Microsoft could secure power to supply its data centres. Three Mile Island, located on the Susquehanna River just outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was the site of the nation's worst commercial nuclear power accident in 1979. Also last fall, Amazon said it was investing in small nuclear reactors, two days after a similar announcement by Google. Additionally, Google announced last month that it was investing in three advanced nuclear energy projects with Elementl Power. US states have been positioning themselves to meet the tech industry's power needs as policymakers consider expanding subsidies and gutting regulatory obstacles. Last year, 25 states passed legislation to support advanced nuclear energy, and lawmakers this year have introduced over 200 bills supportive of nuclear energy, according to the trade association Nuclear Energy Institute. Advanced reactor designs from competing firms are filling up the federal government's regulatory pipeline as the industry touts them as a reliable, climate-friendly way to meet electricity demands from tech giants desperate to power their fast-growing artificial intelligence platforms. Amazon, Google and Microsoft also have been investing in solar and wind technologies, which make electricity without producing greenhouse gas emissions.
