Now, you can generate videos with audio in Gemini with Veo 3: How it works
Google is expanding access to its AI-powered video generation model, Veo 3, for Google AI Pro subscribers. Previously limited to Ultra plan users, Veo 3 is now available through Flow—Google's AI filmmaking platform—and the Gemini mobile app. The model, introduced at Google I/O last month, supports native audio generation that syncs with visuals, allowing Pro users to create more immersive video content. Google stated that in regions where the Ultra Plan is active, AI Pro subscribers will now get limited access to Veo 3 within Flow, along with a 10-pack of trial video generations in the Gemini app. Meanwhile, Ultra subscribers will continue to enjoy higher generation limits. Google also noted that users will be notified when they approach their usage limit, including how many generations remain. While Veo 3 access for Pro subscribers is officially limited to countries where the Ultra Plan is available—and India is not currently on that list—some users in India have started seeing the Veo 3 option within the Gemini app. This suggests that an official rollout in the region may be on the horizon. Google Veo 3 in Gemini app: How to generate videos Open the Gemini mobile app on your smartphone. Ensure you have an active Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription. In the text box, type a prompt describing the video you want to generate. Below the text box, tap More > Video > Submit. Videos generated using Veo 3 in the Gemini app are 8 seconds long and include audio. To download the video, simply tap on the video and then select Download. Google Veo 3: What is new? Veo 3, the latest version of Google's video generation model, was unveiled at last month's I/O event. It builds on previous iterations with the ability to not only create realistic visuals from text prompts but also generate matching audio, including ambient sounds and character dialogue. 'Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing. It's great at understanding; you can tell a short story in your prompt, and the model gives you back a clip that brings it to life,' Google said in a blog post. Veo 3 also powers Flow, Google's AI filmmaking platform, which enables paid users to generate 1080p resolution videos, leverage advanced camera controls, extend existing footage, and more.

Top features revealed at Google I/O 2025 that deserve attention from rivals
Google wrapped up its Google I/O keynote yesterday, and at the event, Google unveiled a slew of new AI-centric reveals coming to Gemini and other Google products like Google Search. And it's safe to say that Google has extended its AI lead further compared to what some other brands have to offer. That said, here are a few features or new additions to Google's AI portfolio that other companies should take note of, read on to know. Google announced that if you are subscribed to Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra, which cost ₹ 1,950 and ₹ 24,500 monthly, respectively in India, you will get access to Gemini inside of Chrome. This is going to be available for users in the US for now, while using English as their language. Also, it is going to be available for both Windows as well as macOS. This will make summarising web pages easier, research easier, and navigating websites easier. With Veo 2, we saw how Google's text-to-video model could generate videos out of thin air. All you had to do was submit text-based prompts, and Google would return a video for you. However, with Google's latest Veo 3 model, Google now also generates audio. This makes the text-to-media generation complete. Having audio brings an additional element. Google wants to make an "universal AI assistant" that understands the world around you. Now, Google has integrated Gemini with Project Astra's camera and screen sharing, and this seems to be a step in that direction. There can be multiple use cases wherein Google Gemini Live can actually see the environment around you and tell you how to fix a bike, and more. Plus, you can of course, as its take on things, including if your outfit it on point or not.

Google unveils new AI video tool Flow along with Veo 3 at Google I/O 2025
Google unveiled Flow, a new AI video tool, at its developer event on May 20. The tool is targeted towards filmmakers and creatives. Users can prompt a description of a video they want and the tool will output clips that can be pieced together to make a sequence. The scene builder can also extend shots and help users choose the direction of a scene. There are also features that allow users to choose a camera angle and the point of view in a scene as well as asset management so users can handle all the parts within the video. Google will also be launching 'Flow TV' so others can see the exact prompts and methods used in certain video clips and learn. Last year, the company launched a similar AI video generation tool called VideoFX on Google Labs for limited users as a precursor to Flow. Alongside Flow, Google also launched Veo 3, the improved AI video generator that also generates sound. The tool also has better quality and is able to comprehend longer prompts better. 'Veo 3 excels from text and image prompting to real-world physics and accurate lip syncing,' Eli Collins, Google DeepMind product vice president, said in a blog Tuesday. Additionally, its predecessor, Veo 2 will also have options for camera control and object removal from its clips. Google also announced Imagen 4, their latest AI image generator to generate higher quality of images and is able to export in more formats. The tool has also been upgraded to generate text better in the images. Flow is available under the Google AI Ultra plan for $249 per month in the U.S. now. Google AI Pro users can also access a slightly downgraded version of Flow which is powered by Veo 2. 'Google AI Pro gives you the key Flow features and 100 generations per month, and Google AI Ultra gives you the highest usage limits and early access to Veo 3 with native audio generation,' a blog post noted. Meanwhile, Veo 3 will be available for users on the Vertex AI platform.
