Improve performance with Tensor G5: Google is expected to introduce the next-generation chip, the Tensor G5, for the entire Pixel 10 lineup. Reportedly, the processor is built with TSMC's 3nm process, bringing greater efficiency and improved performance. Therefore, with Pixel 10, we can expect refined performance in comparison to its predecessor.
New telephoto lens and tele-macro feature: The Pixel 10 is expected to feature a new telephoto camera. Earlier, the base model consisted of a dual camera setup that included a main and ultrawide camera. Now, the Pixel 10 will likely feature an 11MP telephoto lens with a Samsung 3J1 sensor. Additionally, Google may introduce the tele-macro feature that may use both telephoto and ultrawide lenses for macro shots.
Upgraded display: This year, the Pixel 10 model is expected to feature a 6.3-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an upgraded 120Hz refresh rate. This year, the smartphone is expected to offer a brighter screen along with improved PWM dimming rate. This is said to reduce eye strain and screen flickering.
Qi2 support: The Pixel 10 is expected to offer Qi2 wireless charging. However, it is unclear whether the smartphone will get Qi2 Ready certification or will support the magnets in the phone body. Either way, Qi2 wireless charging is more efficient and convenient. We can also expect a faster charging speed.
Google AI Pro free trial: Lastly, Google could offer a Google AI Pro subscription to Pixel 10 users. However, it may have a limited period of 3 or 6 months. With a free trial, users will be able to access the latest AI models, increased cloud storage, video and image generation models, and much more.
Despite several upgrades coming to the Google Pixel 10, the price is expected to remain the same as last year. Therefore, buyers can enjoy upgraded features at a similar price to the predecessor.

Google is preparing to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 on August 20, alongside its next-generation Pixel 10 smartphones. While the company has yet to officially break the news, the latest promotional images leaked by tipster Evan Blass have revealed a detailed look at the smartwatch, its colour options, and key features. The Pixel Watch 4 is expected to come in two case sizes — 41mm and 45mm — with a familiar design that closely follows its predecessor, but with one noticeable change: the charging pins are now placed on the side. Google is sticking with PIN charging instead of moving to a wireless dock, though charging speeds are said to be Pixel Watch 4 will reportedly feature Google's Actua 360 display with up to 3,000 nits peak brightness and will offer over 40 exercise modes, appealing to fitness-focused buyers. The smaller 41mm version is expected to last up to 30 hours on a single charge, while the larger model can stretch to 40 hours — both with the always-on display turned on. Charging is said to be 25 per cent faster compared to the Pixel Watch 3, which should make topping up less of a hassle. Google is also said to be including dual-frequency GPS for more accurate location tracking, and the usual health features like ECG, blood oxygen (SpO2), breathing rate, and heart rate variability monitoring will be of the standout additions is a safety feature that can detect if your pulse drops and automatically contact emergency services. For those opting for the LTE model, Google is expected to bundle two years of free Google Fi data, which is a useful extra for users who want to leave their phone behind during workouts or runs. While the Pixel Watch 4 will be revealed in August, it will not hit store shelves straight away. According to recent reports, it is expected to be available from October 9, with the delay possibly linked to supply chain constraints. Other upcoming Google hardware, such as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold and new Pixel Buds 2a, will also follow the same delayed timeline. As AI Kills Jobs, Sam Altman Says Gen Z Are The 'Luckiest' Kids In History
Amid fears that artificial intelligence (AI) is taking jobs from people, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has claimed that Gen Z, short for Generation Z, are the luckiest kids in history, owing to the rise of technology. As per a Fortune report, Mr Altman made the bold claim whilst hinting at a future where "some classes of jobs will totally go away'. "I would feel like the luckiest kid in all of history," Mr Altman told the host Cleo Abram on the Huge If True podcast. Quizzed if AI would potentially cause job displacement, Mr Altman shrugged it off, saying it was a cyclical process. "This always happens, and young people are the best at adapting to this. I'm more worried about what it means, not for the 22-year-old, but for the 62-year-old that doesn't want to go retrain or reskill or whatever the politicians call it." The OpenAI CEO said the AI era will empower young creators, allowing them to bring ideas to life quickly, adding that young people will adapt better to this. 'AI to take away jobs' While Mr Altman takes an optimistic view of the future, a former Google top executive recently said that AI could disrupt society as the technology eats away jobs, rendering the middle class non-existent. Mo Gawdat, who left Google X as its chief business officer in 2018, said the 'hell' will begin as early as 2027 as AI eliminates white-collar jobs, with no one spared, including software developers, CEOs, and podcasters. "The next 15 years will be hell before we get to heaven," said Mr Gawdat, adding that AI will trigger 'social unrest' as people still come to terms with losing their livelihoods and sense of purpose. "Unless you're in the top 0.1 per cent, you're a peasant. There is no middle class," he predicted. "AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is going to get better at everything than humans, at everything, including being a CEO. The one thing they don't think of is AI will replace them, too." Previously, Geoffrey Hinton, regarded by many as the 'godfather of AI', stated that the technology could soon develop its own language, making it impossible for humans to track the machines.
