Google's powerful AI coding agent Jules is now available to everyone — here's why it's not just for developers
While it's clearly built with developers in mind, Google is also positioning Jules as a helpful tool for anyone dabbling in automation, app building or website design, even if they don't have a formal programming background.
Jules runs on Gemini 2.5 Pro, Google's latest AI model optimized for logical reasoning and advanced planning.
Jules has the ability to run tasks in parallel, making it especially efficient for large or multi-step workflows.
The agent can now reuse past setups, visualize test results and even integrate with GitHub Issues for a more seamless development loop.
During its beta, users submitted tens of thousands of taskss, resulting in over 140,000 code improvements shared publicly. Based on that feedback, Google has revamped the interface, fixed bugs and added features like multimodal support, allowing Jules to display visual outputs from web applications so users can see exactly what's happening with their code.
But you don't need to be a full-time engineer to benefit. Casual users can now explore Jules through an introductory tier, ideal for side projects or early experimentation. For professionals, Google is offering Pro and Ultra tiers with significantly higher usage limits, up to 20x more capacity for enterprise or multi-agent workflows.
Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips.
This public release aligns with Google's broader push to make Gemini-based agents more accessible across all its products, not just in developer tools.
The company is betting big on asynchronous, task-oriented AI that does more than just respond in a chat window, but executes as well.
As AI assistants become more agentic, meaning they can plan, take action and adapt over time, tools like Jules may soon become essential to us beyond software development. We may seem them more often in business operations, creative work and even personal productivity.
Jules is now available via Google Labs. Users with a Google account can try it for free, with upgrade options available through Google AI Pro and Ultra subscriptions.

You own the store. Our team does the work.' Clients keep full ownership of their Amazon stores, but they don't need to figure out how to run them. Proper Ecom takes care of everything needed to grow the business and keep it working well. Two Strategic Business Models: Private Label or Wholesale Exclusive Brand Deals The first way is Private Label. This model is to help clients build their own brand. Proper Ecom helps them create products, design packaging, and sell them on Amazon and TikTok Shop. The team also helps with ads and uses Amazon FBA to store and ship products. The second way is Wholesale Exclusive Brand Deals. This model is to help clients sell well-known name-brand products. Proper Ecom sets up special agreements so only the client can sell those items. The team sets up the store, lists the products, and handles everything. In this model, net profits are shared, which is driven by performance. The Proper Ecom Hybrid Approach Proper Ecom takes a hybrid approach. This approach combines these two proven models, giving investors flexibility based on goals and risk level. This differentiates Proper Ecom from its competitors. Most companies focus on one model. Proper Ecom is innovative and uses both models. Turnkey Business Setup: Proper Ecom sets up the account, finds products, creates listings, and finds suppliers. Access to High-Demand Products: Clients can sell established brand products that people already know and trust while they build their own brand. The team helps with testing and planning. Built for Long-Term Value and Scalable Exit Each store is made to be its own business. It has a name, a history, and the right setup to grow and even be sold one day. More than an online shop, it's a business built for sustainability and scalability. Proper Ecom helps grow the store by finding new products, getting more deals, and making smart choices based on data. Some clients keep growing their store. Others sell it later. Google Expands AI Use to Combat Invalid Ad Traffic
Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is one of the best high-volume stocks to invest in. On Tuesday, August 12, Google announced that it is expanding its use of AI to combat invalid ad traffic/IVT, which refers to clicks and impressions that do not come from real people. This includes accidental clicks, bots, malicious sources, and deliberate attempts to inflate costs or earn illegitimate revenue. Google's Ad Traffic Quality team, in collaboration with Google Research and Google DeepMind, has introduced new defenses powered by large language models. These updated systems provide stronger protections by analyzing app & web content, ad placements, and user interactions. A user's hands typing a search query into a Google Search box, emphasizing the company's search capabilities. Google reports that these new AI applications have significantly improved its content review capabilities, leading to a 40% reduction in IVT stemming from deceptive or disruptive ad serving practices. The company also continues to run both automated and manual checks to ensure that advertisers are not charged for invalid traffic, even if an ad is served. Alphabet Inc. Google Issues a Warning to All 1.8 Billion Users
Google has 1.8 billion Gmail users worldwide, and the company recently issued a major warning to all of those users about a "new wave of threats" to cybersecurity, given the advancements in artificial intelligence. Earlier this summer, Google issued an important warning to all of its users about a new form of cybersecurity attack called "indirect prompt injections." The new threat puts individuals, businesses, and even governments at risk. A New Threat Emerges In an extensive blog post recently, Google issued a warning to all of its users about a new threat: indirect prompt injections. "With the rapid adoption of generative AI, a new wave of threats is emerging across the industry with the aim of manipulating the AI systems themselves. One such emerging attack vector is indirect prompt injections," Google wrote in its blog. "Unlike direct prompt injections, where an attacker directly inputs malicious commands into a prompt, indirect prompt injections involve hidden malicious instructions within external data sources. These may include emails, documents, or calendar invites that instruct AI to exfiltrate user data or execute other rogue actions," the blog post continued. The Google blog post warned that this puts individuals and entities at risk. "As more governments, businesses, and individuals adopt generative AI to get more done, this subtle yet potentially potent attack becomes increasingly pertinent across the industry, demanding immediate attention and robust security measures," the blog post continued. Expert Explains The Threat During a recent interview with The Daily Record, tech expert Scott Polderman opened up a bit about the threat, explaining that a scam involves the use of another Google product, Gemini, an AI assistant known as a chatbot. "So hackers have figured out a way to use Gemini - Google's own AI - against itself," Polderman told The Daily Record. "Essentially, hackers are sending an email with a hidden message to Gemini to reveal your passwords without you even realizing." "These hidden instructions are getting AI to work against itself and have you reveal your login and password information," he continued. Polderman explained why people are particularly susceptible to the threat. "There is no link that you have to click [to activate the scam]," Polderman said. "It's Gemini popping up and letting you know you are at risk." Google Rolls Out New Security Measures The good news is that Google is already moving forward with some new security measures to help keep its users safe from these threats. "Google has taken a layered security approach introducing security measures designed for each stage of the prompt lifecycle. From Gemini 2.5 model hardening, to purpose-built machine learning (ML) models detecting malicious instructions, to system-level safeguards, we are meaningfully elevating the difficulty, expense, and complexity faced by an attacker," Google wrote in its blog. "This approach compels adversaries to resort to methods that are either more easily identified or demand greater resources."
