Fadlallah: Sunday, March 30, first day of Eid al-Fitr
NNA - The Sharia Office of the Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah's Foundation issued a statement today announcing that 'Sunday, March 30, 2025, is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, based on the jurisprudential foundation of the Grand Ayatollah, relying on accurate astronomical scientific calculations that provide reassurance regarding the birth of the crescent and the possibility of seeing it."
The statement added, "We ask God Almighty to make it a blessed and auspicious Eid for the Islamic nation, to accept our fasting and our deeds, and to include us in His mercy.'

Nearly 2M Pilgrims Continue Hajj Ritual on 1st Day of Eid al-Adha
Nearly two million Muslim pilgrims began the ritual of casting stones at the Jamarat pillars on Friday morning, marking the first day of Eid al-Adha and one of the key rituals of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mina, western Saudi Arabia. The number of domestic pilgrims, Saudi citizens and residents, is 166,654. Last year, over 1.8 million Muslim pilgrims from 200 countries around the world performed the Hajj. The Hajj pilgrimage is the fifth pillar of the Islamic faith, a ritual that must be performed by all Muslims, if financially viable, at least once in their lives. The Hajj includes a number of rituals aimed at illustrating the fundamental concepts of Islam and commemorating the Prophet Abraham and his family's trials.

Israeli Enemy Kidnaps Lebanese Fisherman
The Israeli occupation army renewed on Wednesday its violation of Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire agreement, including UN Resolution 1701. Israeli naval forces kidnapped a Lebanese fisherman in Lebanon's territorial waters on Wednesday, local media said. Israeli gunboats breached Lebanon's maritime boundaries and surrounded a fishing vessel carrying two individuals near Naqoura, the Lebanese state news agency NNA reported. One of the fishermen was held by Israeli occupation forces and transported to 'Israel', while the second was let free, NNA said. According to NNA, the second fisherman was questioned by the Lebanese military intelligence before being released. National News Agency also reported that Israeli enemy forces fired machine gun bursts towards the outskirts of the town of Shebaa. An Israeli glider dropped bombs on a bulldozer in Yaroun town, South Lebanon. A Zionist drone, furthermore, flew intensively over Beirut's Dahieh.
