Sometimes, the Internet proves to be not just powerful but even life-saving. A recent incident from Telangana has shown exactly that, going viral and earning admiration for a young child's courage and presence of mind.
The episode unfolded in Sultanabad, Peddapalli district, where a little girl named Charmi was accidentally locked inside a car.
According to The New Indian Express, Charmi's family, residents of Mancherial, had stopped near a sweet shop on Rajiv Highway while returning home from a wedding. In a moment of oversight, they left both Charmi and the car keys inside the vehicle before stepping out. What followed next was sheer panic.
Time Was Running Out
For nearly half an hour, her anxious relatives tried everything to free her. Locals were too rushed to help, even attempting to break the car windows. But time was slipping away, the child had begun to sweat, and her breathing grew weak, leaving everyone deeply worried
YouTube Tutorial As Help
As the situation intensified, a young man stepped forward to help. He had a simple yet genius idea to rescue the child. He showed the little girl a YouTube tutorial on how to unlock the car from inside. With incredible strength, calmness and attention, Charmi followed the instructions carefully, and guess what? She managed to unlock the car herself and rescued herself, leaving everyone relaxed.
A Story Of Courage
The moment the door opened, her family rushed in to hold her tight. A potential tragedy was averted, and the tension immediately turned into moments of joy as the crowd around breathed a sigh of relief. That's how the incident, which could have turned into a tragedy, ended up being a story of courage and a perfect example of the right use of technology.
As the video of the incident surfaced online, reactions poured in with many expressing their heartfelt emotions. Many praised the child's courage to stay calm and follow instructions even in such a difficult time, while others applauded the man who thought of using YouTube at such a critical time. An individual summed it up perfectly with, 'Modern minds deserve modern solutions."
The story of little Charmi is a reminder that sometimes courage and calmness can lead to outcomes filled with joy and positivity.

Govt defends petrol car tender in Parliament

Last Updated: New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) The Environment Ministry on Thursday said most of the vehicles in its fleet are electric, CNG or hybrids and clarified that its latest bid document for new cars includes flexibility to hire e-vehicles. In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh said, 'In the recent past, the ministry has procured only four vehicles, all of hybrid category, through Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in accordance with the instructions issued by Department of Expenditure." He added that the bid document has 'provisions which allow flexibility in hiring of e-vehicles within the overall strength of vehicles proposed to be hired." The clarification came against the backdrop of reports in May that the ministry floated a tender for 60 vehicles in Delhi, of which 57 were petrol-powered cars and just three were cleaner-fuel options — two Toyota Hycross hybrids and one Tata Nexon EV. The estimated value of that tender was around Rs 8.4 crore, according to reports. The decision drew criticism because it came just days after the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in the NCR issued an advisory to all government bodies on May 2, urging them to procure only electric, hybrid or CNG-powered vehicles. Singh told the Upper House that the ministry has also hired e-vehicles through Energy Efficiency Services Limited, a joint venture of PSUs under the Power Ministry, and that 'majority of the vehicles being hired are e-vehicles or CNG or hybrid vehicles". Bugatti Claims Its $4 million Tourbillon Is Sold Out Until 2029

Bugatti Design Director, Frank Heyl, claims the company's high-end sports car, Bugatti Tourbillon, is sold out until 2029 with 250 existing orders in its roster. Bugatti's hypercar Tourbillon is keeping the French automobile company a little too busy. The company claims its Tourbillon is sold out until 2029. The high-end vehicle has an exclusive price of around $4 million, which is bound to attract only the rich elite of the world. However, even if you belong to the super-rich bracket, you will have to wait for another four years to eventually bag the dream possession. Bugatti's Design Director, Frank Heyl, confirmed the update in an interaction with CarBuzz. Heyl stated the company has received so many orders that it was only convenient to plan ahead. According to the design director, the carmaker is currently finishing up Bolide production and will spend the next four years building orders of the Tourbillon. The demand for the brand's newest hypercar is so high, Heyl hinted, that all potential new buyers, including the super-rich automobile enthusiasts, will have to wait almost until the end of this decade to receive it. It's a scenario the design director says is great for the company's business standing. Heyl believes such a timeline gives Bugatti enough space to execute its existing orders and plan what comes after the Tourbillon. The Tourbillon is a hybrid hypercar, which draws power from three electric motors that work together with the vehicle's mammoth 8.4-litre V16 engine. Capable of extracting 1,775 bhp peak power, the Bugatti Tourbillon can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just two seconds, which makes it a dream for sports car lovers. The mid-engine hybrid sports car succeeded the Bugatti Chiron. The hypercar was unveiled in an online live stream on June 20, 2024, and immediately grabbed the world's attention for its powerpacked engine and incredible performance. During the interaction, Heyl confirmed the company currently has 250 orders in its roster and can't build another Tourbillon for four years. 'So, building 250 Tourbillons. Now delivering the finalist trials. The final Bolide…[all that] is going to keep us busy with our capacities until 2029 and sold out until 2029. If you have this [financial stability] as a business owner, it works out very solid. Then you know, you can plan ahead. It's all set," he said. Bugatti claims the hypercar can run even faster, capable of sprinting 0–200 kmph in less than five seconds. The Tourbillon has an estimated top speed of 445 kmph and is expected to attract plenty of new buyers when the company eventually produces the new models. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
