CONMEBOL eases Copa America warm-up rules after Brazil's complaints
"From now on, in addition to goalkeepers who already had a 15-minute warm-up period on the field, outfield players will also be allowed to warm up on the pitch for the same duration," the South American soccer governing body told Reuters.
"This decision was made after a detailed assessment of the condition of the playing surfaces at the competition's stadiums to date, and after taking into account feedback from some participating teams."
Tournament organisers had barred outfield players from warming up on the pitch to preserve the playing surface, with each stadium hosting two matches in a day during the group stage.
Brazil captain Marta, midfielder Ary Borges, and head coach Arthur Elias voiced their frustration after their dominant group-stage win over Bolivia, as both teams had been forced to warm-up in a shared room of about 15 square meters that smelled of paint.
They also criticised the restrictions after their tournament opener against Venezuela, saying they were unable to properly assess Kerolin's fitness, which ultimately led to the Manchester City striker being sidelined.

The final test ended when Gill's outstanding pace bowler Mohammad Siraj, who bowled with undiminished vigour throughout the match, yorked Gus Atkinson to give his team victory by six runs. "What happened this morning summarised what this team is all about," Gill said. "This team believes if there is some kind of opening we can get through that opening." He noted that the dismissals of Yorkshire pair Harry Brook and then Joe Root on Sunday evening had been that opening. "Seventy runs on day four, even 50 runs they would be under pressure," Gill said. Gill added that his four hundreds in the series had carried a different significance. "Each of them has a story and each of them means a lot to me," he said. Lyles, the three-times world champion in the event, stormed past Bednarek to win in a world leading 19.63 seconds, turning his head to stare down Bednarek as they crossed the line. Bednarek shoved Lyles in the back before the two exchanged what looked like heated words. "Noah's going to be Noah. If he wants to stare me down, that's fine," Bednarek told reporters. "The summary is, don't do that to me. I don't do any of that stuff. It's not good character right there. That's pretty much it. At the end of the day, he won the race. I've got to give him props. Soccer-Neuhaus returns to Gladbach training after four-week suspension
(Reuters) -Borussia Moenchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus returned to training on Monday following his weeks-long suspension and publicly apologised about a video in which he had appeared to mock the Bundesliga club's sporting director. Neuhaus was fined and suspended for four weeks in early July. "I would like to take the opportunity of returning to my team to once again apologise to the club management and Borussia's fans for my behaviour, especially to (sports director) Roland Virkus," Neuhaus said in a statement. "We have had a personal and professional relationship for many years, characterised by appreciation, respect, and trust. I will do everything I can to rebuild this mutual trust." In a video posted on social media last month, Neuhaus could be seen talking to several people wearing Gladbach kits about Virkus. The 28-year-old former Germany international appeared to call Virkus "the worst manager in the world" and referenced the sporting director's role in deciding his salary of four million euros ($4.71 million) per year. Gladbach had imposed a "heavy" fine on Neuhaus, reportedly around 100,000 euros. "Flo already apologised in an internal meeting four weeks ago," Virkus said. "We acknowledge that he is now making this public. For us, the matter is closed, and we expect Flo to now offer his full qualities in training and do his part to help us achieve our goals."
