The highly anticipated Season 2 of the breakout Aussie series Strife premieres on Thursday, May 8 and the cast celebrated its upcoming return with a star-studded event in Sydney overnight.

One star set to steal the show this season is Mary Coustas, who was rose to fame on the 90s sitcom Acropolis Now.
In Season 2 of the BINGE series, which follows the messy and relatable life of digital publisher Evelyn Jones (played by Keddie), Coustas plays the media mogul's psychologist Sylvie, who she consults regularly after Evelyn's former deputy and friend launches a rival website.

The OTT bouffant hairdo and thick Greek accent were no more as 60-year-old Coustas took to the stage with Keddie, screenwriter Sarah Scheller and executive producers Bruna Papandrea and Mia Freedman (the Mamamia founder whose 2017 memoir, Work Strife Balance, is based on the book). Instead, Coustas now 60, rocked sleek hair and looked chic in a baby blue power suit.
Maria Angelico plays Keddie's on-screen rival on the show.
Matt Day returns as Keddie's ex-husband on the series.
The series is based on publishing mogul Mia Freedman's 2017 memoir Work Strife Balance.
'I love that this [show] is about a woman trying to do something that hadn't been done before on a very large scale,' she told The Daily Telegraph in a separate interview over the weekend.
'I know Mia. I was around when that was all happening for [Mia] at the beginning,' Coustas added as she recalled the launch of Freedman's Mamamia website.
Season 2 premieres on Thursday, May 8 on Binge.
'I know what it's like for any woman that juggles a lot. To just get through the day is a miracle, let alone pull off something miraculous, like an online platform with a million people working for you and getting into trouble a lot.'
As for Keddie, she too loves how the series embraces the calm and the chaos women juggle every day.
'I found so much of the story relatable and knew it would be relatable to many women no matter what industry they're working in, not just the media industry,' Keddie previously told news.com.au.
Strife Season 2 premieres Thursday, May 8 at 8:30pm on BINGE, available on Hubbl, and on Showcase at 8:30pm and is available On Demand with episodes dropping weekly

Comedian Tom Walker joins Great Australian Bake Off as new co-host
A new co-host is set to join Great Australian Bake Off when Season 8 premieres on Foxtel and BINGE later this year. On Monday, the Foxtel Group announced that much-loved comedian Tom Walker will co-host the popular baking show alongside existing host Natalie Tran. Walker steps into the iconic shed for the first time with fan favourite Tran, and together they will be joined by esteemed returning judges, British culinary icon Rachel Khoo and Aussie pastry king Darren Purchese. Walker replaces former co-host, beloved comedian Cal Wilson, who sadly passed away from a sudden illness in 2023. 'I truly loved being a part of The Great Australian Bake Off,' Walker said in a statement. 'The whole crew is so warm, funny, welcoming and kind, and the bakers are so talented it blows my mind.' 'To the little boy who grew up thinking he'd never see a biscuitcity – you were wrong. I'm thrilled to be part of the Bake Off Family.' In a separate statement shared on Instagram, Walker – who rocks an eye-catching cardigan in the first promo pics – gushed: 'They let me keep the cardigans and I am still not sure how to pronounce or spell millefeuille! This was genuinely so much fun I struggle to talk about and not sound completely nuts … I am very, very, very happy.' Walker is no stranger to television, winning over viewers with his infectious charm on shows such as Whose Line Is It Anyway? Australia and Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee. The stand-up comic has also won accolades in his industry. In 2016, he won Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and that same year he nabbed the Director's Choice Award at the Sydney Comedy Festival. The hosting news comes almost two years after the death of Wilson, who hosted the show alongside Tran from 2022. The New Zealand-born comic and TV personality passed away in October 2023 following a short illness. She was 53. At the time of her death, Wilson had already filmed four episodes of Season 7, with Tran taking on hosting duties solo for the remainder of the season following the tragic news. 'Season 7 of The Great Australian Bake Off holds a special place in all our hearts,' Wendy Moore, Director of Foxtel Channels and Content and Lifestyle Group General Manager, said at the time. 'Cal's passing was a devastating shock to the Bake Off family, and she is dearly missed by everyone who knew her. Her deep love for this show and her unique blend of charisma and kindness brightened the shed every day.' Moore said it was with the full support of Wilson's family and 'with Cal in our hearts' that Season 7 was able to premiere 11 months after her death. 'This year, Bake Off holds a special place in our hearts and allows us to truly celebrate Cal,' Tran added ahead of last year's premiere. 'This season is a tribute to her memory, the incredible talent of our bakers, and the genuine camaraderie that makes the show so special.'

Controversial Married At First Sight groom Ryan Donnelly shocks fans as he debuts his latest acting role after interim restraining order from TV "bride"
Controversial Married At First Sight groom Ryan Donnelly has shocked fans as he debuted his latest acting gig. It's understood the project manager, 36, has pursued acting amid reports he is unable to find work after Nine's reality hit finished airing in April. On Sunday, the reality star took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of himself dressed as a police officer for a new role. Ryan looked every inch the real-life cop, complete with his faux attire that included a badge, patches, a blue shirt, and a bulletproof vest. "We on," he wrote, along with a screenshot notifying his 19,000 followers his account has been verified with a blue badge. MAFS fan account mafsgossip quickly reshared the new gig along with two other of Ryan's past dress-ups. He could be seen rocking a 70's moustache in one, while the other showed him posing with claws and a white tank top at a festival. Fans flocked to the comments section to say the MAFS star was well suited to the force. "He actually suits it," one person said. "Suits you. It's never too late to join the police force," another person said. It's not the first time the aspiring actor has stunned fans by posing as an officer. In March, one fan took to social media to point out Ryan's cameo appearance in the new BINGE Original Series The Last Anniversary. 'Just watching new series on BINGE, is this who I think it is? It's called The Last Anniversary,' they wrote, along with a screenshot of the star. The Last Anniversary, based on the book of the same title by author Liane Moriarty, is executive produced by Australian A-lister Nicole Kidman. The Campbelltown groom can be seen around 20 minutes into episode one, sporting a white shirt and muli-coloured jacket in an office scene. Ryan confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle he played a 'simple police officer guarding the star patient in that episode'. 'Always amazing fun on sets like those,' he said. The role on BINGE isn't Ryan's first, as he has previously starred in Neighbours and NCIS: Sydney. The 36-year-old also appeared briefly on Nine's Beauty and the Geek in 2022. Earlier this year, he was spotted on the streets of Sydney acting in a major upcoming Hollywood horror film starring American actor Dylan O'Brien. Ryan could be seen strutting across a footpath dressed in a corporate navy blue suit, white shirt and tie for the gig. He was clean-shaven and completed the look with a carry bag and a pair of shiny black dress shoes. Ryan's tumultuous relationship with his on-screen wife Jacqui Burfoot dominated season 12 as the pair frequently fought and made up over seemingly mundane details like having a TV in the couple's bedroom. Jacqui also raised several concerns about Ryan's financial skills and his ability to contribute to their future family. The Kiwi bride suggested his career choice might not be "enough" financially. She later took to TikTok to clarify she raised the concerns about his acting ambitions, not his salary as a project manager. Ryan and Jacqui's rows spilled over into court around the time they dramatically ended their union at Final Vows in April. In March, Jacqui obtained an interim restraining order against Ryan, which prevented him from commenting on social media about her. Ryan subsequently applied for an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) against her. The matter was heard at Campbelltown Court House in April. Magistrate Shane McAnulty told the court he was unwilling to grant the order in Jacqui's absence and asked the parties to prepare submissions for the matter to return to court on Tuesday, June 24. has reached out to Ryan Donnelly for comment.
