‘Squid Game' final season trailer drops: Gi-hun faces off with the Front Man (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the third and final season of Squid Game, and it's all-out war for Player 456 aka Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae).
The fan-favourite Player 456 is back — angrier, bolder, and ready to tear down the twisted game that ruined his life. This time, he's hunting the puppet master behind it all: the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun).
The trailer teases explosive showdowns, shocking betrayals, and deadly new challenges — including a brutal game of jump rope. With nearly 3 million views already, fans are bracing for an epic end to the global hit series.
Squid Game Season 3 premieres June 27 on Netflix.

Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah's (Adam Brody) budding romance continues in Season 2 of 'Nobody Wants This,' which is set to premiere globally Oct. 23 on Netflix. The release date was announced by the cast and crew at an Emmys FYC event for the show's first season. Netflix renewed the rom-com series not long after its premiere in September 2024. Following the success of Season 1, Foster talked with Variety about the fan reactions and how creating the show was 'a career highlight.' 'The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers' reactions to this series now that it's out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed,' she said. Pablo Larraín to Direct Netflix Domestic Horror Miniseries ‘My Sad Dead,' From Fabula and ‘The Eternaut's' K&S Films (EXCLUSIVE)
Netflix has officially announced 'My Sad Dead' ('Mis muertos tristes'), a new four-part horror drama miniseries helmed by acclaimed Chilean director Pablo Larraín and produced by his Chilean label Fabula in collaboration with Argentina's K&S Films, producers of the streamer's recent global mega-hit 'The Eternaut.' The new series, based on the short story of the same name by Argentine author Mariana Enríquez, is set to begin filming at the end of June. Filming will take place in Buenos Aires for exteriors and Santiago, Chile for interiors. It Was Exhausting Described as a psychological and supernatural horror story rooted in societal trauma, 'My Sad Dead' draws not only from Enríquez's titular tale, but also incorporates characters and themes from her other works, including 'Julie', 'A Sunny Place for Shady People' and 'Back When We Talked to the Dead.' The story was adapted for the screen by Enríquez herself, along with celebrated Chilean writer Guillermo Calderón ('Neruda,' 'The Club'), Anastasia Ayazi and Larraín. 'My Sad Dead' features a star-studded Argentine cast led by Mercedes Morán ('Neruda,' 'The Swamp'), Dolores Fonzi ('Paulina,' 'Truman') and Alejandra Flechner ('Argentina 1985,' 'The Loast Brother'), who are joined by Carlos Portaluppi, Germán de Silva, Luz Jiménez and newcomer Carolina Sánchez Álvarez in her debut role. Netflix's official synopsis reads: 'Ema, a 60-year-old doctor, can see and hear the dead. She calls them 'presences' and has lived her entire life avoiding letting this gift connect her with the suffering of others. But when her niece Julie, a disturbed young woman who can also communicate with the dead, but in a much more intense and sexual manner, arrives at her house, Ema is forced to get involved. What begins as a family reunion turns into a disturbing chain of events that alters the balance between the world of the living and the dead, infecting an entire neighborhood with voices from beyond. As the borders between life, death and desire blur, Ema will have to confront her past, her daughter and the ghosts she never let go.' Netflix announces premiere dates for Affleck and Damon crime thriller, ‘Stranger Things' final season
Advertisement Meanwhile, the final season of 'Stranger Things' comes out in three installments, starting with four episodes on Nov. 26 (that's the day before Thanksgiving, in case you were wondering), followed by three episodes on Christmas, and a finale that will pop up on New Year's Eve. Each episode drops at 8 p.m., so prepare accordingly. You can also expect a time jump — given the relentless march of time and the young cast, it was no longer exactly believable that any of these folks were pre-teens. The show was a deliberate homage to '80s movies, with its suburban setting and latchkey kids getting into trouble while simultaneously juggling the challenges of school and puberty. Its world has slowly expanded over the years, although in some ways it sounds like they're getting back to their core storytelling in the final season: Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has gone into hiding, and everyone is anxious at the approaching anniversary of Will's (Noah Schnapp) abduction. Expect the usual '80s haircuts and clothing choices, and let's continue to be grateful that the show has brought about a bit of a Winona Ryder renaissance.
