Variety has reported that CBS representatives were contacted for comment, but have yet to issue a statement.
Trump's remarks are the latest in his ongoing criticism of CBS. Earlier this year, he sued CBS' parent company, Paramount Global, for $10 billion, claiming a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris was deceptively edited. Although legal experts suggested his case lacked strong merit, Paramount reportedly paid Trump a $16 million settlement in May, amid its pending merger with Skydance Media.
Trump also recently celebrated the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In a July 29 post, he claimed he was not solely responsible for the decision, but called Colbert's departure inevitable due to high production costs and what he described as a 'pure lack of talent.' He further predicted that late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon would be next to lose their shows, labeling them 'less talented' and 'very insecure.'
Trump has used his Truth Social platform in recent months to criticize media figures and networks he perceives as politically opposed to him.

Apple to pledge $100 billion for US manufacturing, White House official says
WASHINGTON: Apple Inc will announce a domestic manufacturing pledge of $100 billion on Wednesday that will focus on bringing more manufacturing to the United States, a White House official said. The pledge would be a new financial commitment, the official said on the customary condition of anonymity. It comes as President Donald Trump pursues an aggressive tariff and trade agenda aimed at moving some manufacturing back into the United States. Apple said in February it would spend $500 billion in U.S. investments in the next four years that will include a giant factory in Texas for artificial intelligence servers while adding about 20,000 research and development jobs across the country. Apple did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Trump's tariffs cost Apple $800 million in the June quarter and spurred some customers to buy iPhones in late spring this year. Apple has been shifting production of products bound for the U.S., sourcing iPhones from India and other products such as Macs and Apple Watches from Vietnam.
