Advanced Drainage price target lowered to $133 from $143 at Loop Capital

Loop Capital analyst Garik Shmois lowered the firm's price target on Advanced Drainage (WMS) to $133 from $143 but keeps a Buy rating on the shares. The company missed on Q4 EBITDA and guided below expectations as the weak macro is weighing on the outlook, though its view of lower end market demand across most categories also makes sense, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Given that pricing trends appear to be stabilizing and that there's line of sight towards lower raw materials however, the guide should be viewed as establishing a floor for earnings, Loop adds.

Meta Called Biggest Non-Hardware AI Winner — Loop Capital Hikes Price Target

Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) is one of the . On August 5, Loop Capital analyst Alan Gould raised the price target on the stock to $980.00 (from $888.00) while maintaining a Buy rating. According to the research firm, Meta's 'meaningful revenue growth acceleration and strong outlook' has been the biggest positive surprise among mega-cap earnings reports so far. The firm considers Meta to be the biggest non-hardware beneficiary of artificial intelligence. 'Most press reports position Meta's recent hiring spree and capex expansion as an effort to 'catch up', but business results reinforce our view that the company is the largest non-hardware beneficiary. Acceleration in both user engagement and monetization is being driven by AI investment against what appears to be a very long runway.' An investor studying a chart at a trading desk, monitoring the public fixed income markets. Several long-term opportunities were also identified for Meta, including business AIs, personal AI assistants, wearables, and open-source models. These, the firm believes, are each 'very meaningful' for the company's future. While we acknowledge the potential of META as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. Loop introduces Twist polyester resin brand made from textile waste

Called Twist, the launch marks a pivotal move by Loop to aid the industry's transition from linear production models to circular systems that prioritise sustainability and material innovation. Loop is engaging with apparel brands to negotiate offtake agreements for its anticipated joint venture in India, where Twist will be offered as the branded product. Twist is produced using Loop's proprietary depolymerisation technology, which breaks down polyester textile waste into its foundational monomers, DMT and MEG. These monomers are then purified to their original quality and re-polymerised into the Twist resin. This process ensures the removal of dyes, colourants, and other contaminants, resulting in a resin that is chemically indistinguishable from virgin polyester. Twist is claimed to deliver high purity, consistent colour and dyeing properties, and enhances production efficiency, ensuring seamless integration with existing spinning and manufacturing systems. These qualities make it an attractive option for apparel companies looking to address the environmental impact of textile waste through textile-to-textile recycling, according to Loop. In addition, the production process is estimated to save up to 418,600 tonnes (t) of CO2 emissions annually, with a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 81% compared to traditional fossil fuel-based resins. These figures have been independently validated through a life cycle assessment (LCA) study conducted by Franklin Associates, a division of ERG, stated Loop. The resin also has embedded chemical tracers that allow customers to track the origin of finished products back to the initial waste textile inputs. This transparency ensures verification of the recycling and manufacturing processes, fostering trust in the circular economy and raising the bar for accountability in sustainable textile production, noted the company. Loop Industries plans to scale up the production of Twist at its Terrebonne facility and at the upcoming Infinite Loop India facility. The latter is strategically positioned to cater to global textile and apparel brands, offering Twist at competitive prices without compromising on performance or sustainability credentials. Loop Industries chief revenue officer Giovanni Catino said: 'Twist represents a major step forward in closing the loop for textiles. It supports the textile industry's shift toward a circular model and provides a unique product offering which meets the needs of Loop's customers as we secure agreements for the offtake of our India JV.' Earlier this year, Loop Industries reached a consensus with SK Geo Centric (SKGC) to mutually dissolve their joint venture (JV) agreement to construct and operate an Infinite Loop manufacturing facility in South Korea. "Loop introduces Twist polyester resin brand made from textile waste " was originally created and published by Just Style, a GlobalData owned brand. Loop Capital Expects Palantir (PLTR) to Beat Earnings Again—Here's Why

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) is one of the . On July 30, Loop Capital reiterated the stock as 'Buy' and raised the price target to $178 (from $155). The firm said it is sticking with the stock ahead of earnings on Aug. 4. 'Based on our checks, we expect PLTR to deliver another beat and raise, with revenue outperformance in line with or exceeding the 5-quarter average upside of 4.3% above the midpoint of guidance.' Additionally, we anticipate guidance to increase beyond the past four-quarter average of 2.3%. The hard part is to guess whether that will be enough to satisfy investors who have pushed the stock straight up and to the right — rising 106% ytd and 26% since the 1Q earnings release — which is the kind of chart that gives us pause buying ahead of the print. The company's eye-popping valuation is supported by the combination of demonstrated AI leadership, scarcity value as one of the few pure-play AI software stocks, and category-leading margins. Market sentiment around AI names remains highly favorable, and Palantir benefits from its unique position at the intersection of artificial intelligence and enterprise software. The company continues to secure significant commercial contracts as pilot programs scale into full production, with AI use cases expanding exponentially across industries. A financial adviser providing advice on the security of a client's assets. Additionally, Palantir's established government footprint and strong ties with senior members of the Trump administration are expected to bolster growth in its federal business, especially as efforts to modernize U.S. government operations and implement strategic policies such as tax reform and defense initiatives advance. Together, these factors have driven best-in-class revenue growth and margins — exemplified by a rule of 81 score in 1Q25 and a 68 score in 2024 — solidifying its position as an AI leader with significant growth potential. Our checks and earlier meeting with management suggest Palantir's momentum continues, and we expect the stock to move higher over the long term, if only because the firm delivers best-in-class revenue growth plus margins, and faces a decade-plus cycle similar to previous watershed shifts like the PC revolution or cloud computing.' Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) is a leading provider of artificial intelligence systems. While we acknowledge the potential of PLTR as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk.
