Final Four college basketball picks: Expert predictions, odds, betting lines, schedule for NCAA tournament Saturday games
This is the strongest Final Four since the NCAA tournament expanded in 1985. It's hard to argue otherwise.
This is just the second time all four No. 1 seeds advanced to the Final Four. It has four of the top 10 highest-rated teams in KenPom.com history, which dates back to the 1996-97 season.

This tournament has been a little dry, in terms of great games, surprise storylines, upsets and Cinderellas. But that all led to a Final Four that may never be replicated. An all-time great Final Four would be the legacy of this tournament, not the relative disappointment that preceded it.
Here are the picks for the Final Four games on Saturday, with odds from BetMGM:

Think of the Final Four this way: Auburn ranks higher at KenPom than all but six teams from 1997-2024, yet it ranks fourth in this Final Four and has BetMGM's longest odds to win it all at +525. Auburn would have been the favorite in 21 of the past 27 tournaments, if KenPom was used to set the odds.

Part of the reason Auburn trails the field is Johni Broome's health. Broome went down in the second half of the Elite Eight win with an elbow injury when he landed hard on the court. Broome came back into that game and there doesn't seem to be any concern that he won't play Saturday, but he did miss practices to start the week. Broome is a national player of the year contender along with favorite Cooper Flagg, and if he's not 100% it would obviously affect Auburn.
But if Broome is at his normal level, Auburn is capable of winning it all. The way Florida gave up points in the paint to Texas Tech in the Elite Eight will be noted by the Tigers. Florida has needed great escapes against UConn and Texas Tech in this tournament, and while the Gators' clutch play down the stretch in each game was impressive, it's tough to keep winning that way. Auburn looked vulnerable late in the season but won its first three tournament games by double digits and led Michigan State by 10 or more for most of its six-point Elite Eight win. Florida did win 90-81 at Auburn on Feb. 8, but it's hard to pass on Auburn getting points.
Duke looks unbeatable in this tournament. But so did 1991 UNLV, 1999 Duke, 2015 Kentucky, 2021 Gonzaga and a few other dominant favorites. And with a Final Four this strong, no team is guaranteed to win two games. Not even Cooper Flagg and Duke.

The late matchup Saturday is fascinating. Duke is the most efficient offense that KenPom.com has ever tracked, barely ahead of fellow Final Four entrant Florida and 2015 Wisconsin. The Blue Devils will go against Houston, which was the No. 1 most efficient defense this season. It held Tennessee, a very good offensive team, to 15 points in the first half of the Elite Eight.
While Duke has had vibes of UConn the past two tournaments, UConn didn't have a matchup as tough as Houston in either of those title runs. Houston isn't one dimensional either, with KenPom's No. 10 offense (Duke isn't either with its No. 4 defense). This won't be easy for Flagg and his team to advance, no matter how dominant the Blue Devils have been.
There's a reason Duke is favored. The Blue Devils are deserving favorites to win it all and have passed every analytics and eye test. This is a very good college basketball team. But so is Houston, and we're long overdue for a couple of great, close games.

Broncos roster: WR Troy Franklin (No. 11) looks to have bounce-back season Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at second-year wide receiver Troy Franklin, No. 11. Before the Broncos: Franklin (6-2, 170 pounds) was a three-year player at the University of Oregon from 2021-23. In Franklin's freshman year as a Duck (2021), he didn't exactly have eye-catching numbers: only 18 catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns. In 2022, Franklin benefited from a change at quarterback when he had then-Auburn transfer Bo Nix come in to Eugene. Franklin's production jumped drastically to 61 catches for 891 yards and nine touchdowns, which led the Pac-12 in 13 games. Franklin's best year as a receiver was by far and away the 2023 campaign. Franklin caught 81 passes for 1,383 yards and another Pac-12 leading season with 14 touchdowns. Franklin averaged 106.4 yards per game in 2023, and was Nix's No. 1 target on offense. Prior to the 2024 NFL draft, the Broncos came to scout Nix, and Franklin ran routes during their throwing session. Coaches liked what they saw, and they selected both players: Nix 12th overall in the first round, and Franklin with the 121st overall pick (fourth round). Broncos tenure: Franklin had an up-and-down rookie season in Denver, starting six games, playing in 16 of 18 games (including the playoffs) in 2024. Franklin generated the fourth-most targets (53) on the Broncos, but only had the sixth-most receptions (28) for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Franklin did play a big part in the Broncos' wild card playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills, catching the opening drive touchdown from Nix to put Denver up 7-0. That would be Denver's only score during the game. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. While head coach Sean Payton liked what he saw in the pre-draft process with Franklin, there has been some fan speculation on Franklin's future with the Broncos, and how long he would last after a lackluster 2024 campaign. Franklin did show flashes of potential in his rookie year, but he has to make his presence known in training camp to not be overshadowed by the likes of Devaughn Vele or 2025 draftee Pat Bryant. Franklin seems likely to make the squad, but if he wants more playing time in Year 2, he needs to step up. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.

Notre Dame offers new players in the 2027 and 2028 class following Mondays camp
It is a big recruiting weekend for Notre Dame football, as they hosted multiple camps, but the excitement didn't stop as the week turned over. On Monday afternoon following another camp, the Irish sent out four news offers, to prospects across different classes. It's that time of year, when it's much easier to evaluate players when they are on campus, and it's clear that Notre Dame saw enough out of the quartet. (Note: All rankings are according to the 247Sports Composite.) Tight end Korz Loken The 6-foot, 5-inch and 220-pounder is one of the nation's best, ranking as the No. 125 overall prospect in the 2027 class. The Wisconsin native has had a good spring with offers from Auburn, Florida State and others, but it will be hard to hold off the in-state Badgers. Linebacker Mikahi Allen The 4-star New Jersey linebacker fits the mold of what Notre Dame is looking for at 6-foot, 2-inches and 215-pounds. He's ranked as the No. 245 overall prospect of the 2027 cycle, and has a solid offer list that included Michigan, Penn State, and Florida State. The Irish have had good success recruiting Allen's home state, and hope that that continues. Edge Darieon Prescott A very projectable frame at 6-foot, 6-inches and 220-pounds, Prescott is yet another player from Notre Dame neighboring state of Illinois to earn an offer. Many of them have found success in South Bend, and he could be another. Prescott does have an offer from Tennessee, but this one from the Irish should stand out at this early junction. He's not currently ranked in the 2028 class. Athlete Kameron McGee The 2028 athlete is one of the nation's best players, even though he's not ranked at the moment. With over 25 offers, the 6-foot, 3-inch and 234-pound McGee most likely will be able to go anywhere he desires. This recruitment will be tough, but the Irish had good luck with Illinois prospects. It's pretty simple, you camp at Notre Dame, it significantly increases your chances for an offer. This system has worked well for the Irish, and it could play dividends with some of these most recent scholarships. Head coach Marcus Freeman has his hand in this as well, as he's been seen at many of these events. With 16 commitments in the 2026 class, it makes perfect sense to look ahead with these new offers. Lindy's Sports ranks Florida inside preseason top 15, Lagway a top-10 QB With the college sports world shifting its attention back to football as the summer gets underway, Florida remains a preseason top-25 program, largely thanks to the hype that follows sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway. A week ago, Lindy's Sports released its highly respected preseason edition, and the Gators check in at No. 15 with a clear path to the College Football Playoff. While SEC bias might be a real thing with national media coverage of college sports, Florida's top-ranked strength of schedule and strong finish to the 2024 campaign warrant this kind of preseason rankings. Lagway is indeed one of the top signal callers in his class, and the Orange and Blue pulled off several upset wins with him under center as a relatively inexperienced true freshman. Lindy's has him ranked No. 7 among college quarterbacks entering the season, behind players such as Carson Beck (Miami), Arch Manning (Texas), and Garrett Nussmeier (LSU). The Gators will have plenty of chances to prove they belong inside the top 15, too. Lindy's ranked the three teams listed above are inside the top 10, and they're all on Florida's schedule. After starting the season with home games against LIU and South Florida, UF heads to Baton Rouge and Miami Gardens to face No. 5 LSU and No. 10 Miami in back-to-back weeks. Then it's back to The Swamp against top-ranked Texas, featuring Manning and Co. Texas A&M and Mississippi State are both outside the top 25, with the latter being the lowest-ranked SEC team at No. 84 out of 136 teams. No. 9 Georgia is next on Florida's schedule, followed by road games at Kentucky and No. 19 Ole Miss. Neither Tennessee nor Florida State is ranked inside Lindy's preseason top 25, but a lot can change between now and November.
