Vishal was the chief guest at a beauty pageant called Miss Koovagam 2025, hosted on Sunday night for the transgender community. As the event unfolded, Vishal lost consciousness and fell down on the stage. The event organisers and fans quickly rushed to his aid, helping Vishal regain consciousness. Former minister K Ponmudi, who was present at the event, ensured that the actor was promptly taken to the hospital for further medical care. The actor has yet to issue a statement.
The incident left fans worried as it marks his second health scare this year. In January, Vishal attended the pre-release event of his film Madha Gaja Raja, when fans noticed that he wasn't in the best of his health. They saw that the actor was even struggling to stand straight, trembling on the stage due to his health woes.
Soon after, Vishal addressed fans' concerns and revealed that he had been suffering from a fever. The actor further reassured his well-wishers that he is doing well now. 'I recently had a common fever, and I'm completely recovered now. There were false rumours claiming I wouldn't be able to work for three or six months, but none of it is true," he shared in a statement.
For the unversed, Vishal's Madha Gaja Raja was first slated for release in 2013. However, it faced numerous delays, mainly due to financial and legal problems. It finally released after 12 years, on January 12, 2025. Helmed by Sundar C, the film also starred Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.
