Last week (April 17th), The Travel Agency, New York's premier cannabis destination, teamed up with 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony to celebrate his debut cannabis brand, STAYME70. In celebration of the launch and the 4/20 holiday, Anthony made a public appearance at The Travel Agency's Fifth Avenue location to meet fans and debut his newest venture.
While at The Travel Agency, the New York Knicks legend met fans, who gained VIP access – including autographs and photo ops – through purchasing the debut collection, while enjoying The Travel Agency's fan-favorite DJ series Airwaves.
'It's a legendary moment in cannabis history to welcome Hall of Famer and New York icon Carmelo Anthony to The Travel Agency,' says Paul Yau, CEO and co-founder of The Travel Agency. 'As the first adult-use dispensary on Fifth Avenue, we've always aimed to set the standard, and this moment not only celebrates Melo's entry into New York cannabis, but also cements New York's place as a global leader in the industry.'
STAYME70, pronounced 'Stay Melo,' was made in partnership with renowned cannabis entrepreneur Jesce Horton and award-winning creative director Brandon Drew Jordan Pierce ('Beedy'). The partnership between STAYME70 is a natural extension for both brands, with both carrying core missions of bringing social equity into the cannabis industry, prioritizing working with BIPOC-owned businesses, and reinforcing the commitment to social justice and economic empowerment.
Carmelo's visit drew hundreds fans to The Travel Agency's Fifth Avenue dispensary. The event was part of The Travel Agency's 'High Neighbor' series –a 4/20 celebration reimagining suburban nostalgia through a week of immersive, neighborhood-driven cannabis experiences.
The Travel Agency is proud to partner with the New York legend, and welcome STAYME70 across all three of its NYC locations. This partnership marks the beginning of a larger mission — rooted in dismantling stigmas, championing equity, and bringing creativity, joy, and culture into the cannabis industry. Congrats to Carmelo Anthony! Check out some photos from the event below!

Kevin Hart Producing New Comedy Competition Show For Netflix

Source: Paras Griffin / Getty In these times, we all need a laugh. Thanks to Kevin Hart, a new comedian is heading our way…eventually. He's behind a new comedy competition show heading to Netflix in 2026. His production company, Hartbeat, will produce along with Last Comic Standing producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz. The NBC show ran for nine seasons, last airing in 2015 after multiple incarnations. Over its run, competitors included Tiffany Haddish, Amy Schumer, Gabriel Iglesias, Roy Wood, Jr., Gina Yashere, Lavell Crawford, Alonzo Bodden, who won Season 2, and Corey Holcomb. Per Netflix, the new eight-episode special will include similar elements that made Last Comic Standing a hit, including 'rigorous tests that mirror the real-life journey of a comedian, from brutal open mics to bombed sets and rewrites to the pressure of big-stage performances. The competition will give viewers an unvarnished look at comedy's darkest corners and brightest spotlights with challenges inspired by some of the comics' actual career trajectories.' The show aims to capture the often challenging journey to becoming a big-time comedian by showing the good, bad and the ugly of what goes on behind the scenes, based on the aspiring comedian's own life stories. Hartbeat adds this show to its roster of initiatives and programs intended to increase the percentage of people of color in the comedy realm. They've backed the Comicview reboot on BET, the Comedy in Color series, which brought 300 comedians from more than 30 countries to compete at the Just for Laughs comedy festival, and Hulu's LOL Live. Hartbeat also created Women Write Now, which develops Black female comedians, and produced standup specials featuring Affion Crockett, London Hughes and David A. Arnold, the popular veteran comedian who died unexpectedly in 2022. You can apply to be on the show here. Teyana Taylor Ordered To Pay Ex-Husband Iman Shumpert $70,000

Source: Jamie McCarthy / Getty Teyana Taylor has to pay. That's what a judge in Georgia ruled after finding that she violated the conditions of her divorce from Iman Shumpert, according to The Los Angeles Times . The former couple's divorce was finalized in July of 2024, but they've had some bumps since, as each has accused the other of various issues, including ones related to their two daughters, Junie, 9, and Rue Rose, 4, and accusing each other of leaking specifics about their divorce. Shumpert, 34, and Taylor, 35, agreed to a gag order on the details of their divorce settlement. But when its alleged details leaked online in March, it claimed that she had been awarded four homes, more than a million dollars, a Maybach worth $300,000, a $70,000 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van, and a tour bus. Shumpert was also ordered to pay $8000 a month in child support. 'Let's get this gold-digger sh-t out the way,' Taylor said on Instagram Live. 'Every single car that I walked away with, I literally paid for out of my pocket. I bought my tour bus with my hard-earned money. I bought my Maybach after Iman crashed my Rolls-Royce and never replaced it. Let's be very clear, I left with what I came with.' We care about your data. See our privacy policy. The order says that Taylor violated the 'prohibition against disclosure of 'summaries, abstracts, portions and descriptions'' according to court records. She must pay $70,000 to cover Shumpert's legal fees. She accused him of leaking the info and asked that the court pay her legal fees, but refused to provide information about her income, saying it wasn't relevant. In the end, the court determined that she could afford to pay the fee, based on three movies she's booked, along with the Ryan Murphy-led series All's Fair coming this fall. In March, Shumpert denied leaking any information to social media platforms. 'Mr. Shumpert adamantly denies that he has provided any information to any news publication or news media,' his lawyers said in a statement to People. 'Specifically, but without limitation, he denies that he leaked any information which may have served as the basis for the multiple news reports preceding the trial of this matter.' Taylor said that the timing of the leaked documents came when she posted pictures with her rumored new love, actor Aaron Pierre, after this year's Academy Awards ceremony. The two were first photographed together at Beyoncé and Jay-Z's A-list afterparty. 'I post my little picture at the Oscars, and it does 1.4 million views,' she said during the IG Live. 'Then, the next day, all of a sudden, here come these fake divorce settlements. 'That's the part y'all don't see. Every time I have something going on, there's another story about this sealed divorce.' However, the judge ruled that Taylor provided no proof that Shumpert leaked the documents.
