RTC bus enroute Visakhapatnam collides with lorry on national highway, eight injured
Anakapalli (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 23 (ANI): An RTC bus en route to Visakhapatnam from Narsipatnam met with an accident near Bayyavaram in Andhra Pradesh on the national highway. The bus collided with a lorry in front of it, resulting in injuries to eight people, including the driver.
As per the information, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Kasimkota Inspector Swamy Naidu stated that the collision between the lorry and the bus left eight people injured. They have been admitted to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited.
Last month, eight pilgrims died after a 20-foot-long stretch collapsed at the Sri Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Visakhapatnam during the Chandanotsavam festival.
Meanwhile, the family members of the victims broke down in tears after the accident outside the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
According to Jogarao, who is a relative of the deceased Uma Maheswarao family member, a wall was recently constructed, and four lives of a family were lost due to the wall. Both the wife and husband worked as IT technicians.

Another relative of the deceased family members said that they demand to get to the bottom of the matter, and the government should take action against the officers who were involved in the poor construction of the wall.
'We need justice for losing our family members. The government should take action against the officers involved in the poor construction of the wall. Four members of my family lost their lives at the same time. Who will take responsibility for our family? The government should give one government and ex gratia to us', the family member said. (ANI)

Rajesh Patel, a businessman and one of the first responders to the tragic Air India AI171 plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, claimed that he found around 70 'tola'of gold and around ₹ 70,000 in cash from the debris while lending a hand in the rescue efforts. One tola is roughly 11 grams. The Air India AI171 flight crashed into a medical college hostel complex in Meghani Nagar area on June 12, killing a total of 270 persons.(AFP) Patel said that he handed over the discovered gold and cash to the government authorities. The deadly crash of the Air India Boeing 787-7 Dreamliner into the hostel complex of BJ Medical College claimed the lives of all but one passenger. Patel told news agency ANI that the crash took place around 300 metres away from his house, and as soon as they saw the plane turning into a ball of flames, they rushed to the site. After the fire was extinguished, we approached the crash and saw that the bodies of people were lying everywhere," he said. Our effort was that at least the last remains of the deceased could be given to their families," Patel told ANI. Additionally, they also found idols of Lord Krishna and a Bhagavad Gita. He said that all of this stuff was collected from the crash site and handed over to a government officer. As of Sunday night, DNA samples of 251 victims had been identified, and mortal remains of 245 victims had been handed over to their respective families. Free house site pattas for minority communities sought in Erode
As many as 1,500 petitions seeking free house site pattas for minority communities were submitted to the district administration during the weekly grievances redress meeting at the Collectorate in Erode on Monday (June 23, 2025). Led by P. Marimuthu, district secretary of the Tamil Nadu Minority People Welfare Committee, the members stated that Christians, Muslims, and other minority communities reside in large numbers in the taluk and across the district. Most of them are economically weak and depend on daily wages for their livelihood. They have been living in rented houses , and their socio-economic status has remained unchanged for generations. The petition urged the administration to provide free house site pattas and construct houses under Government schemes to meet their basic needs and improve their standard of living. It also called on the authorities to take immediate action on the issue.

New Delhi: A month after his expulsion from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over a Facebook post, Bihar MLA and former minister Tej Pratap Yadav has alleged that four to five party colleagues conspired to ensure his exit from the party. The 37-year-old said he would "face the situation" and stressed "no one would tolerate interference in their personal life." Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled last month after a row over a photograph shared on his Facebook account. In the photograph, he was seen with a woman. The post identified the woman as Anushka Yadav and said she and Tej Pratap were in a relationship for 12 years. "I am Tej Pratap Yadav and the girl seen with me in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have known each other for the last 12 years and love each other deeply. We have been in a relationship throughout these years. I wanted to share this with all of you for a long time, but couldn't find the right words. Today, through this post, I am opening my heart to you. I hope you all will understand," it read. The post started a chatter, as people asked why Tej Pratap married in 2018 if he was in a relationship. The RJD leader married Aishwarya Rai, daughter of political heavyweight Chandrika Rai, in 2018. The couple separated months later and a divorce case is on. Amid this chatter, Tej Pratap claimed his profile had been hacked. "My social media platform was hacked and my photographs were edited wrongfully," he wrote on X. While the Nitish Kumar-led alliance of the BJP and JDU is looking to return to power, the RJD-Congress block is going all out to secure a win.
