Israeli navy missile ships strike Yemen's Hodeida port, says military
The Israeli navy struck the Yemeni port of Hodeida on Tuesday using missile ships, the military said, adding the attack was in response to recent launches by Houthi rebels towards Israeli territory. "This morning (Tuesday), Israeli navy missile ships struck terror targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime in the port of Hodeida ... following the aggression of the Houthi terrorist regime towards the State of Israel, including the launch of surface-to-surface missiles and UAVs (drones) toward Israeli territory," the military said. "The strikes were carried out to stop the use of the port for military purposes," it said, adding that the port was being "used to transfer weapons". Yemen's rebel-controlled media reported Israeli strikes on the country's main port. The Al-Masirah TV channel said "two strikes by the Israeli enemy targeted the docks of the port of Hodeida". In a post on X, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said "we warned the Houthi terror organisation that if they continued firing towards Israel, they would face a powerful response and be subjected to a naval and aerial blockade". Earlier, Colonel Avichay Adraee, an Israeli army spokesman said that "because of the use of maritime ports by the Houthi terrorist regime, we call on all people present" in the ports of Ras Issa, Hodeida and Salif "to evacuate them immediately for their own security" in an Arabic post on X and Telegram. Yemen's Houthi rebels have repeatedly launched missiles and drones at Israel since the Gaza war broke out in October 2023 with Palestinian militant group Hamas's attack on Israel. The Iran-backed group, which says they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians, paused their attacks during a two-month Gaza ceasefire that ended in March, but renewed their assault after Israel resumed its military campaign in the territory. While most of the projectiles have been intercepted, one missile fired in early May hit the perimeter of Ben Gurion airport for the first time. Israel has carried out several strikes in Yemen in retaliation for the attacks, including on ports and the airport in the capital Sanaa.

Israeli occupation forces continue to raid Faqqu'a village, east of Jenin, search Palestinian homes
Jenin - Saba: Israeli occupation forces have continued to raid the village of Faqqu'a, east of Jenin, for more than nine hours. Head of the village council Barakat al-Omari told the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) that the occupation forces stormed the town at midnight last night with a large number of infantry units. The enemy forces raided a house, forced its residents to evacuate, and turned it into a military barracks. Al-Omari added that the occupation forces arrested citizen Ahmed Jalghoum after raiding and searching his home and interrogating his family members on the spot. The occupation soldiers also checked citizens' IDs, obstructed the passage of vehicles, and interrogated their owners. Al-Omari said that the occupation forces raid the village almost daily due to its proximity to the apartheid wall, but this raid was the largest in terms of the number of soldiers. The village schools canceled classes for the day and announced the postponement of scheduled exams to a later date, in order to preserve the lives and safety of the students. It's worth noting that Faqqu'a has a population of 5,200 and has been surrounded by the Apartheid Wall since 2003, which has swallowed up 240 dunams of its land. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Saudi Interior Ministry confirms sustained care, loyalty to martyrs' families during Hajj
The Ministry of Interior, through the Agency for Military Affairs, is supporting the families of deceased and injured armed forces personnel with a humanitarian program reflecting the leadership's commitment to citizens. A key part of the program enables relatives of martyrs and injured personnel to perform Hajj at the ministry's expense, along with providing psychological, medical and social care throughout the year. One beneficiary speaking from Mina, Ibrahim bin Abdulkarim Al-Zahrani — injured in the line of duty and brother to two martyrs — expressed his appreciation for the Kingdom's support. He said such care reassures families that the Kingdom stands by them and gives them strength to continue serving, a Saudi Press Agency report said. Al-Zahrani added that the ministry's efforts, under Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, represent the state's respect for the sacrifices of martyrs and its commitment to their families. Chief Sgt. Salem Al-Qahtani of the General Department for the Care of Martyrs and Injured Families shared his 14-year experience serving the group, highlighting the department's close, familial bond with their families. 'We have followed the children of the martyrs since their early years, watching them grow — some are now our colleagues, while others are performing Hajj through this program under the leadership's close supervision,' he said. The department develops support programs for beneficiaries, demonstrating the Kingdom's commitment to honoring those who gave their lives for the nation and continuing support for their families. It also reflects the leadership's approach to supporting citizens and honoring the sacrifices of martyrs.
