A year after leaving the villa Patsy reflected on life post- Love Island and the reality of settling back into normal life.
When asked if she considers herself an influencer now, she replied: 'I don't think I'm a very good influencer…
'I guess at the moment, yeah, you could say influencing — or just fun-employed, I think is the term, isn't it?'
Though she hasn't ruled out returning to regular work, Patsy explained why she feels uneasy about doing so in the UK.
'I probably will be looking for a job soon, but I'm planning on moving to Australia,' she said.
"A year post-show… I don't know if it comes with a little bit of embarrassment of looking for a normal 9-to-5 job.
"So I feel like if I move to the other side of the world and maybe find one over there, I might feel a bit better about it.'
Asked what kind of job she'd look for Down Under, honest Patsy said: 'I'll just have a look on Indeed in Australia and see what's going on.
'I used to work in administration, so I wouldn't mind doing that again… if they'll take me back into that industry. I don't know if they'd want an ex–Love Islander now.'
Patsy was dumped after two weeks in the villa last year but gained a huge social media following.
Love Island's first disabled girl reveals dramatic new look after painful surgery - and reveals tragic reason behind it
She also opened up about the pressures of being an influencer admitting it can be mentally exhausting.
She said: 'I think your first one or two years are probably going to be the best.
'The people that make it, make it, and the ones who do amazing, do amazing.
'I've done OK. I get by.'
While she's grateful for the platform Love Island gave her, Patsy says the reality behind the influencer lifestyle is far from easy.
She added: 'There's a lot of pressure that comes with posting on social media.
'In a normal 9-to-5 job, the only people who know how you're doing are your boss and some colleagues. But with social media, it's the whole world.
'You see how many views, how many likes, and people comment on your performance. That anxiety… I wouldn't mind being away from that.'
She admits she's never aimed to become 'the next Molly-Mae' and is content having earned enough to match a regular income.
But she's realistic about the shelf life of post-show fame.
'All the new Love Islanders come out and then the spotlight moves on. That's just how it is.'
Patsy also spoke about body confidence and how her appearance on the show impacted how she feels about her disability.
'Yeah, I think that's what I hoped for going onto the show — to be seen as an incredible, sexy, beautiful woman and still have a disability.'
She recently noticed herself starting to hide her arm again in photos, something she hadn't done during her time on the show.
It's a reminder of the pressure to maintain a certain image online — and another reason she's considering stepping away from the influencer space.
As she prepares for her next chapter, Patsy says she's ready for a change.
'I'm quite happy to go back to a normal job at some point. I just think doing that in Australia, far away from all the Love Island expectations, might just feel a little easier.'

Katy Perry gets STUCK in flying metal sphere and nearly falls out mid-air... after crying amid Orlando Bloom split
Katy Perry suffered a stage malfunction and narrowly avoided a disaster during her concert in Australia this week amid her Lifetimes world tour. On Sunday night, the singer was performing in Adelaide and being lifted in a floating metal sphere when the stage prop seemingly malfunctioned, leaving her stuck in the air. The floating orb then tilted, as seen in fan-taken footage posted on X, and it appeared as though she scrambled to hold on to avoid falling into the crowd. For several long seconds, Perry held onto one of the bars before the crew stopped the lights and music before rushing to help her. The pop star was quickly freed from the prop and saved — before later breaking down in tears onstage — but many of the fans took to social media to express how scared they were for her in that moment. Many fans also likened the situation to how Beyonce recently had trouble onstage too when the floating car she was riding in suddenly halted and tilted mid-performance and she had to stop her show during her ongoing Cowboy Carter tour. I was really scared 😢 — nasty (@aquitter25) June 29, 2025 Perry is currently on her Lifetimes Tour, performing a series of shows in Australia — which forced her to miss her close friend Lauren Sanchez's wedding to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos in Venice over the weekend. Her now-ex Orlando Bloom attended the weekend-long festivities alone as a newly-single bachelor while Perry was in Australia with their four-year-old daughter Daisy. Perry kicked off their tour in Mexico City back in April and is set to conclude her tour in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year, on December 7. The Lifetimes tour is in support of her seventh studio album 143 and is her first headlining stadium tour in seven years since she last toured in 2018. While performing Down Under, Perry was seen fighting back tears while onstage as she thanked her fans for their support following her split from Bloom. She and the actor had been together for a total of nine years before their split was revealed late last month. As Perry took to the stage for the final show of her Australian leg of her Lifetimes world tour, she fought back tears as the show came to a close. In footage posted on X, she made a heart with her fingers, before struggling to hold back tears as she spoke to the crowd at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. While performing Down Under, Perry was seen fighting back tears while onstage as she thanked her fans for their support following her split from Bloom; pictured April in Mexico City 'Thank you Australia for always being there for me,' she said. It came just hours after Bloom shared a series of cryptic Instagram posts, sharing a quote from Gautama Buddha to his seven million followers. The quote that Bloom reposted read: 'Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.' He additionally shared a separate slide which had another quote which was titled 'Daily Encouragement by Daisaku Ikeda.' The text read: 'The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.' Last week, it was revealed that the former couple called it quits after nearly a decade together. At the time, a source told Us Weekly: 'Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,' while also adding that the separation has been 'not contentious' thus far. 'Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.' The Teenage Dream hitmaker — who is currently embarking on her Lifetimes Tour — was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 until their divorce in 2012. The insider further added that the reported breakup had been 'a long time coming' and that their relationship had also been 'tense for months.'

Pregnant Shaughna Phillips says she hopes jailed boyfriend Billy Webb is freed before birth of her second child - despite nine-year sentence
Shaughna Phillips said she's hoping her jailed boyfriend Billy Webb will be released from prison before the arrival of her second child. The Love Island star, 31, is expecting another baby with Billy, who is also father to her one-year-old daughter, Lucia. Following the birth of Lucia in April 2023, Billy, 29, was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine worth at least £360,000. Currently held in a Category D prison, he's been allowed home visits for a few days each month. And now, Shaughna has revealed he may be granted early release, possibly making it home in time for the birth. She told New! magazine: 'I know the date he's due to be home but, but I'm not saying anything it just because anything could happen. But hopefully [he] will be fully home before my baby is due.' The reality star said she's looking forward to having 'someone there' this time around, as Billy missed out on the early moments with Lucia - from cuddles to sleepless nights. 'He definitely wanted another one,' Shaughna shared. 'He didn't get that newborn experience with Lucia, and I think that's what he really wanted.' The TV personality recently revealed how she planned her pregnancy with Billy Webb after announcing she is expecting her second child. Speaking to the Mirror last month, Shaughna said she got pregnant the very first time her ovulation period had coincided with Billy being at home. 'It was the first time that my ovulation window coincided with Billy being home,' Shaughna said. 'I was like, "You know what? Why not? Let's just see" - and literally, the next day, I said to Billy, "I think I'm pregnant".' Shaughna and Billy have been enjoying family days out over the past seven months while he has been on day release from an open prison. An insider said: 'Billy has been in a Category D prison, which means he has been able to spend a fair bit of time with Shaughna. 'He even managed to be home over Christmas, which meant a lot to her and, of course, Lucia. 'He hasn't been released as many people thought, but he has a lot of privileges.' In Category D prisons, inmates have minimal security and those deemed 'low risk' inmates are allowed to leave the site to work, 'resettle' or attend education during the day. MailOnline contacted Shaughna's representatives for comment at the time. Announcing her pregnancy last month, Shaughna posted a video of herself taking a pregnancy test and showed off her growing bump. She also shared a sweet video of her daughter Lucia, two, wearing a T-shirt saying 'Big Sis' and 'In my big sister era' to go with the announcement. She added in a caption: 'Adding a little more love to our family…' Shaughna revealed the couple had spent Christmas together in December after the family reunited to enjoy a Christmas grotto together. Sharing an adorable video to Instagram, the reality star revealed that she and her partner had taken Lucia to see Santa and added she never thought this day would come. She captioned the clip: 'If you had told me this time last year, that me and Billy would be taking Lucia to see Santa next Christmas, I probably wouldn't have let myself believe you 'The best couple of days, this Christmas is going to be so special.' Shaughna has been very open with her fans throughout the ordeal and previously revealed on her podcast Oh, Baby with Shaughna and Holly that she had struggled to come to terms with the situation. She said: 'It's the most gut-wrenching position to be in. 'And, I mean, before I even answer this question, I want to just put it out there that you can judge me all you want, but please don't let me know, because I feel like unless you've been in this position you can't really have an opinion on it. 'Because before I was in this position, before I had a baby, if you had asked me would I ever, ever take my child into a prison, the answer would be absolutely not. Anyone that does that is crazy. 'And then, lo and behold, I'm now in this position. And I think the thing is, we're always going to be co-parents. 'And I know that me and my dad had the best relationship ever, and to me, my dad is the best person in the world. 'And I don't want Lucia to think differently of her father. I would never, ever stop him from seeing her, ever.'
