Clyde fear losing Hamilton ground share
"The club signed a legally binding agreement with Hamilton Academical in 2022 to play home matches at New Douglas Park for a period of five years. "Clyde FC has the right, stipulated in the agreement, to withdraw at the end of the current season, but Hamilton Academical has no equivalent right to terminate the agreement before it concludes in 2027."Clyde say they submitted "written confirmation to our hosts that we were continuing our tenancy at New Douglas Park" for next season in February."However, in spite of our best efforts, we have been unable to get clarity and assurance from Hamilton Academical that the agreement between the clubs will prevail beyond the current season," they add."In fact, we have an informal indication of the contrary."Clyde stress that they did not want "an increasingly complex situation" to play out in public but felt the need to reassure their support "that every effort is being made on our part to resolve this impasse".The Bully Wee's board have explored several avenues to find a permanent home back in Glasgow without success.Meanwhile, the team are currently battling to avoid a relegation play-off in Scotland's fourth tier but have moved up one place under current manager Darren Young after Ian McCall exited in October with his side sitting second bottom.Hosts Hamilton also face possible relegation and lie second bottom of the Scottish Championship.

Angry Clyde boss blasts side after throwing away lead against Spartans
Darren Young says his side should have been out of sight by half-time as they lost 3-1 at home Darren Young blasted his Clyde side as 'nowhere near good enough' after throwing away a lead to lose 3-1 at home to the Spartans on Saturday. Taylor Sutherland opened the scoring in 12 minutes from a neat passing move, but Clyde went in at the interval 2-1 down, with strikes from Mark Stowe and Bradley Whyte, with Stowe adding his second, nine minutes into the second half. That left Clyde looking for their first League Two win of the season as they head to Stranraer on Saturday, sitting eighth, with just a point. Young said: 'The game could have been over for us by half-time, anyone there watching it sees that, but the second-half performance is nowhere near good enough. 'The game should have been out of sight by half-time, and it's easy to say that, but it wasn't. 'We've had three or four chances, clear-cut chances, that you need to even make the keeper make the save. 'We're chasing the game because we're not taking our own chances, we're not being ruthless enough in either box, and it's just nowhere near good enough. 'It's schoolboy errors, and that needs to be better, all over. It's another three points chucked away.' Young added: 'We go 1-0 up, we're very comfortable, but we go in 2-1 down at half-time, and how that happened we'll never know. 'We had a chance, one on one with the goalie to go 2-0 up, and 20 seconds later they've gone up the other end of the park and scored. 'The third goal comes from us being on the ball – we seem to be our own worst enemy right now. 'It's nowhere near good enough, and we need to look at that as a team and coaching staff, collectively and individually.' Young says he may make changes for the visit to Stair Park on Saturday, but players had an opportunity to force their way into his team last weekend. He said: 'You want to get that win under your belt as soon as possible. 'We don't go into next week feeling sorry for ourselves, we go in with the same mentality and attitude, but if we create that number of chances we're expecting them to take them. 'We may need to shuffle the pack, and places are up for grabs.'

Hamilton Academical 1-2 Partick Thistle: What the managers said
Hamilton Academical manager Robert Watson: "Football can be cruel."We made errors at both ends of the pitch. We should've scored three or four goals. "It's a cruel way to lose but it's very encouraging in the way we played and how much guts and desire we showed to play on the front foot."Partick Thistle head coach David Elliot: "We had plenty of chances but they had chances as well."You just need to take them, that makes the game a lot easier and you can dictate the tempo, but we didn't take those chances and I wish we had. "Leaving it to the last minute made a lot of people nervous, myself included."
