As Super Bowl LIX nears, Americans are getting ready to root for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, with some traveling to "The Big Easy."
The championship game will take place at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome with a capacity of 83,000 spectators, according to Reuters.
More than 25 hotels are fully booked from Saturday Feb. 8, to Monday, Feb. 10, according to Hotels.com search results — and even budget-friendly stays are costing Chiefs and Eagles fans a pretty penny.
A Motel 6 located in the downtown area of New Orleans is charging $505 to stay in a standard room on Feb. 8 — the night before Super Bowl Sunday — and $456 to stay the night of the Super Bowl, according to Hotels.com search results.
A limited number of rooms are available.
In comparison, prices at the same Motel 6 will plummet to $90 per night on Monday, Feb. 10, the day after the Super Bowl.
Nightly stays drop as low as $71 in the summer months.
Another Motel 6 in the New Orleans area is charging $300 per night to stay the day before and the day of the Super Bowl. Those prices drop to $54 on Feb. 10.
A spokesperson for Motel 6 told Fox News Digital, "Property owners set their own prices, which are generally market-driven. As a result, prices can fluctuate. You can find current and up-to-date pricing at Motel6.com."
Other low-budget hotels also appear to be cashing in on the fandom — raising prices more than triple their normal daily rates.
Other motel and hotel prices range from $550 to $4,700 or more for a two-night stay during Super Bowl Weekend, Fox News Digital reported.
Super 8 by Wyndham in New Orleans is located near the French Quarter, Bourbon Street and the Superdome.
Prices for rooms started at $782.67 per night for a room with two double beds, according to search results on Super 8 by Wyndham's website. Bookings for Feb. 8 through Feb. 10 are no longer available.
Fox News Digital reached out to Super 8 for comment.
Prices to stay at Red Roof Inn New Orleans - Westbank start at $551 per night, according to Hotels.com.
The site also lists Quality Inn New Orleans I-10 East rooms with prices beginning at $724 per night.
Fox News Digital reached out to Red Roof Inn for comment.
Prices of multiple hotel and motel stays will decrease and availability appears to return to normal toward the end of February.
The Super Bowl is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Bijan Robinson Makes Announcement on 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Bijan Robinson Makes Announcement on 2028 Los Angeles Olympics originally appeared on Athlon Sports. For the first time in the historic sporting event's history, flag football will be a part of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Advertisement In addition to flag football joining sports such as baseball/softball, cricket, lacrosse and squash as the new sports being added, the other exciting news around the flag football aspect is that NFL players were given the stamp of approval to play by the owners in a 32-0 vote back in May. While many fans have begun speculating who will or won't play, some notable stars have seemingly made decisions already. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and three-time Super Bowl champion, Patrick Mahomes, seemed to have passed on the opportunity. Meanwhile, four-time All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson made it clear he hopes to rep the Stars and Stripes. On Monday, former Texas Longhorns star and current Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson revealed that he would be interested in playing. "I think it's awesome," Robinson told the media. "All it does is grow the game a lot. I think for me like, I grew up playing flag football and that was my offseason game was flag and 7-on-7. So, you know I feel like it's always an honor to play for your country, like you always wanna play for your country. And I would love to show my skill set on that type of stage." Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson staring at the Hartline-Imagn Images While Robinson admitted he would like to play, he did acknowledge that there are athletes out there who specialize in the sport. He also said that scheduling will play a major role in whether he and other NFL stars can play, along with the NFL teams actually allowing players to play in them. Advertisement Regardless, he doubled down on wanting to play. "I would love to play in that game if given the opportunity," Robinson said. "But obviously, we'll see. I don't want it to affect my team and what we got going on here." This past season, Robinson rushed for 1,456 yards and 14 touchdowns, while also adding 61 catches for 431 yards and a score. Assuming the 23-year-old is healthy when the Olympics roll around, it's hard to imagine there is a more shifty and elusive option than him. Adam Schefter says the Pittsburgh Steelers were in pursuit of two other quarterbacks before turning their attention solely to Aaron Rodgers.

Adam Schefter says the Pittsburgh Steelers were in pursuit of two other quarterbacks before turning their attention solely to Aaron Rodgers. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Pittsburgh Steelers eventually ended their search for a starting quarterback by agreeing to terms with 20-year veteran Aaron Rodgers. Advertisement His signing, of course, did not transpire with much timeliness. It wouldn't have been a surprise if the Steelers were feeling turned off from Rodgers during his three-month-long wait before he made his signing official. But this, however, actually came after the team had already swung and missed twice. NFL insider Adam Schefter has revealed that Pittsburgh actually made an effort to sign two other quarterbacks before they were forced to pivot to Rodgers. The first would have eliminated this search entirely: Justin Fields. Fields was the Steelers' early-season starter in 2024 while Russell Wilson was rehabbing an injury. The young QB performed well, going 4-2 to build a strong argument why he should remain the starter even upon Wilson's return. Advertisement That didn't happen, and the Steelers were up and down the rest of the way, barely getting out of the regular season with a 10-7 record and Wild Card berth. This apparently upset Fields, who was searching for any opportunity to get out of Pittsburgh. He opted to sign with the New York Jets - Rodgers' last team - on a two-year $40 million contract. Then, the Steelers sought out a trade with the Los Angeles Rams to acquire Super Bowl winner Matthew Stafford. Stafford was granted the opportunity to seek a trade from the Rams during his contract dispute. Pittsburgh was shuffling through their package options, but couldn't put together a deal that satisfied LA. Advertisement Stafford's contract was then restructured to stay with the Rams for two more seasons. With Rodgers being Plan C, it can explain Pittsburgh's decision to reluctantly sign him for one year and roll the dice on a bounce-back season from the 41 year old. Some quarterback is better than no quarterback. A when "some" quarterback is still a future first-ballot Hall of Famer ... things could be worse, we suppose. But next season? The Steelers could dive into the Draft if they choose to give back Rodgers after a one-year rental. The 2026 NFL Draft - scheduled to be hosted in Pittsburgh - will feature a loaded class of signal callers, and the Steelers have a lot of picks to work with. Advertisement Rodgers eventually landed with the Steelers on a fairly team-friendly $13.65 million salary for this season, with the deal able to reach $19.5 mil after incentives. It's not a long-term answer, but it's something that keeps them afloat. If Rodgers was the team's third option, they might at least be happy that the search is now over. Steelers Already Letting Aaron Rodgers Reshape Offense

Steelers Already Letting Aaron Rodgers Reshape Offense originally appeared on Athlon Sports. And away we go ... The quarterback who promised he wasn't holding the Pittsburgh Steelers hostage is already making sure his new team customizes its offense to fit his dwindling skill set. Advertisement After ending a three-month waiting game by signing a one-year contract last week, Rodgers is expected to attend the Steelers' mandatory minicamp Tuesday. He's hovered over the organization all offseason, and now come reports that his influence is already tangible. Over the weekend, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported what we all knew was coming. According to Fowler, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and Rodgers have been in communication about changing the team's offense. That transformation includes finding a "sweet spot" where Rodgers can audible at the line of scrimmage but still stay true to the team's system. "Teams I've talked to believe that Rodgers at this stage is a middle-of-the-pack quarterback," Fowler said "He's probably ranked 15-17 among the top 32. He's not that top-10 guy anymore, but the Steelers do believe he has the best field vision from the pocket since they've had Ben Roethlisberger. They believe he's still got plenty of arm strength and the New York Jets coaches I've talked to think he was a lot better than the stats showed last year. It's just simply a mobility issue. It's also how he is going to coalesce with Smith?" Over and above helping harpoon the Jets' locker-room chemistry last season by skipping minicamp to vacation in Egypt, Rodgers was mediocre on the field. He threw a Pick 6 in a Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London that dropped their record to 2-3 and prompted the firing of both the head coach and general manager. Rodgers wound up throwing for almost 4,000 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, but he was more part of the problem rather than the solution during a dismal 5-12 season. Advertisement It will quite the "tweak" for the Steelers, transforming an offense built around mobile quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields to construct one around the 41-year-old pocket statue known as Rodgers. Last season he was sacked an eye-popping 40 times. He will have new weapon DK Metcalf to target, but Rodgers is years removed - and a surgery to repair a torn Achilles - from winning his last MVP. While Tomlin won his only Super Bowl with sturdy quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the pocket, 2008 was a long a time ago all of the sudden. Smith, meanwhile, has coached mobile quarterbacks such as Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder. In the end, it appears Rodgers got what he wanted: To skip most of the Steelers' offseason program and to have a hefty say in what the offense looks like in 2025.
