F5 Launches Application Delivery And Security Platform

F5 has introduced the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform, the industry's first Application Delivery Controller (ADC) solution that fully converges high-performance load balancing and traffic management with advanced app and API security capabilities into a single platform. With this platform, F5 is delivering on the promise of a new generation of ADCs—ADC 3.0—purpose-built to meet the extraordinary demands of modern and AI-powered applications.
'AI is accelerating innovation, but also intensifying the high costs, crushing complexity, and escalating cyber risks that have IT and security teams in crisis,' said François Locoh-Donou, President and CEO of F5. 'F5 stands alone in its ability to address the challenges of hybrid multicloud architectures. The F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform represents a giant leap forward for organizations, enabling them to overcome complexity and unlock the full potential of AI.'
F5's upcoming 2025 State of Application Strategy Report found that 96% of organizations are deploying AI models. F5 further estimates that, within three years, 80% of all apps will be AI enabled. AI is here, but most enterprises are ill-equipped to handle the massive amounts of data, complex traffic patterns, and new attack vectors that are inherent in AI applications.
The F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform has been built to address these challenges and is the most complete ADC offering for enterprises operating hybrid multicloud infrastructures.

Help AG Deepens Partnership With F5

Help AG, the cybersecurity arm of e& enterprise, has inked a strategic partnership agreement to be the first Managed Services Provider (MSP) partner for F5 in the Middle East region. Building on a long-standing partnership with F5, Help AG has launched its next-generation Managed App and API Protection Service based on the F5 Distributed Cloud Platform. This is an always-on, cloud-delivered managed service for the AI era, designed to secure modern digital infrastructure across public, private, edge, and hybrid cloud environments. Today's threat landscape is more complex, with malicious actors being able to access a broader attack surface as enterprises rapidly shift towards API-driven architectures, edge computing, and cloud-native applications. From automated bot attacks and API abuse to sophisticated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attempts, the pressure on security teams has never been greater. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that many enterprises lack the knowledge and tools to protect themselves against these types of attacks Help AG's Managed App and Application Protection service directly addresses these evolving challenges by providing multi-layered protection as a managed, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering. Backed by F5's globally recognised F5 Distributed Cloud Services and operated 24×7 by Help AG's expert SOC team, the new service enables clients to simplify operations, ensure compliance, and respond to threats in real time. Leveraging Help AG's local expertise and managed service leadership, businesses can now deploy resilient, compliant, and cost-efficient application protection. Stephan Berner, Chief Executive Officer of Help AG, said: 'This is a strategic leap forward for enterprise security. Our collaboration with F5 reflects our shared vision of securing every application, API, and digital interaction, at scale. With this new service, we are providing regional organisations with enterprise-grade security that is proactive, cost-effective, and built for the cloud-first era.' The solution provides unified protection that includes Web Application Firewall (WAF), advanced bot mitigation, API discovery and security, plus DDoS defence; all accessible through a centralised SaaS-based management console that ensures full visibility and control. Clients benefit from flexible deployment models across regional and customer edge locations, hybrid setups, and full support and continuous tuning by Help AG's expert teams. Mustapha Hlil, Director of Channel Sales for the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa at F5, commented: 'As cyber threats become more sophisticated and widespread, the need for always-on, adaptable security has become mission-critical. Help AG's security expertise, managed services leadership and state-of-the-art SOC with 24×7 support – combined with the F5 Distributed Cloud platform – provides a powerful solution for customers navigating complex digital transformation journeys. It will also significantly help enterprises lacking the expertise to deploy and manage security solutions.' The launch marks a new chapter in the Help AG and F5 partnership, further strengthening their joint commitment to securing the region's digital future and helping organisations build trust in every digital interaction. 0 0

F5 outlines vision for application security at AppWorld 2025

F5 highlighted AI's rapidly growing influence on global enterprises at the first EMEA leg of its AppWorld 2025 roadshow recently, underlining both the opportunities and challenges ahead. 'Modern enterprises face significant challenges when managing the intricate hybrid, multicloud IT landscape where countless applications and APIs are spread across diverse environments. As AI-powered applications become a fundamental part of these distributed systems, complexity is only set to grow', said Mohammed AbuKhater, RVP for the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa at F5, speaking at the event. According to F5's newly released 2025 State of Application Strategy Report, 96% of organisations are now deploying AI models, which is up from 25% in 2023. However, for organisations currently deploying AI models, the number one concern is AI model security. And, while AI tools are more autonomous than ever, operational readiness gaps still exist. 60% of organisations feel bogged down by manual workflows, and 54% claim skill shortages are barriers to AI development. Central to the AppWorld agenda was how the recently announced F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform (F5 ADSP) can help organisations adapt to hybrid, multicloud complexities and meet the demands of modern and AI-powered applications. F5 Strengthens Security Capabilities in the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform F5 ADSP is the industry's first ADC solution that fully converges high-performance load balancing and traffic management with advanced app and API security capabilities into a single platform. The product of years of investment and innovation, the platform is API-driven and enables consistent policies for every app, in every environment, across all form factors. It can operate seamlessly across high-performance hardware in on-premises data centres, next-generation software in virtualised and hybrid environments, and SaaS for cloud-native environments. The platform's capabilities were further bolstered at today's AppWorld event, with F5 highlighting a series of broad cybersecurity enhancements, including: Cloud-Native Protection with F5 NGINXaaS for Azure with NGINX App Protect: NGINX App Protect as an add-on to NGINXaaS (NGINX as a Service) and is now available for Azure deployments. NGINX App Protect is a modern application security solution designed to provide robust protection against an array of threats, including sophisticated attacks, data breaches, and other malicious activities. By integrating NGINX App Protect with NGINXaaS, customers have access to advanced threat protection against modern threats such as the OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities and zero-day attacks, real-time traffic inspection, and automated security policy management. Scan LLMs for Vulnerabilities: The F5 ADSP now features web app scanning functionality that has been purpose-built to scan for, identify, and assess security vulnerabilities in large language model (LLM) deployments. Expanded API Discovery Tools: F5 has expanded its powerful API discovery tools for use across the ADSP platform to include all F5 BIG-IP deployments, enabling organisations to get full API visibility for applications that utilise BIG-IP. Enhanced Client-Side Defence Capabilities for Greater Compliance: As threat actors search for new attack vectors, client-side browser-based attacks are becoming increasingly prevalent. The latest revision of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) v4.0 now requires businesses to have client-side protections deployed to mitigate the risks associated with data exfiltration and malicious JavaScript attacks. F5's enhanced client-side defence capabilities bolster defence postures by delivering greater visibility into malicious scripts and the actions that they are taking—identifying risky scripts and where they send data.
