"MLAs and MPs must continuously monitor construction activities in their areas to ensure quality and timeliness," Adityanath said, adding that "Road proposals received from public representatives should be taken seriously."

After the tourism department's brief on the ongoing tourism development works around religious sites, Adityanath said that all such places should be well connected to major roads.
"If any representative submits a proposal, ensure quick estimation and start of work," he directed the officials.
Calling Gorakhpur and Basti emerging symbols of development, he said public representatives play a pivotal role in shaping the progress narrative.
"Development is an ongoing process. Elected leaders must stay connected with the people, understand their aspirations, and forward well-thought-out proposals to the government," he said.
He said that convenience, safety, and prosperity of the people are the core goals of the government's policies, and urged representatives to inspect local projects regularly.
"Development initiatives also help enhance the public image of elected leaders," he remarked.

Drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of development, the state government is advancing with the vision of 'Viksit UP' to fulfil the national resolve of a self-reliant and developed India, he said. This vision, prepared in collaboration with NITI Aayog and experts, ensures participation from all sections of society. He said on August 13 and 14, the House will hold a continuous 24-hour discussion on this vision, a consensus for which was reached at the all-party meeting, he said. 'It was not the BJP leaders who protested against you, but the traders, who opposed you. They are angry with SP because they had to pay gonda tax during your regime,' he said, adding that three days before Pandey's visit, he had gone to Gorakhpur to review the development of Heritage Corridor. 'There was no protest. The project is being undertaken to free the area of encroachment as there are many landmarks, including Gita Press, Ghanta Ghar etc,' Adityanath said. Calling the protest against the LoP 'mild', Adityanath said, 'Agar koi aur hota to bahut qayede se unko sahi dhang se jawab dete (Had it been someone else, a befitting reply would have been given)'. Following this, the SP legislators accused the BJP government of being 'anti-Brahmin' by 'threatening' Pandey, and started raising slogans such as 'gundagardi ki yeh sarkakr nahi chalegi' and 'Pandey ji ka yeh apman nahi shega Hindustan'.
