Ghitha Holding revenue reaches $1.35bln in 2024

ABU DHABI - Ghitha Holding has announced its consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ended 31st December 2024, reporting a total revenue of AED4.97 billion, reflecting an increase of 8.9 percent compared to FY2023.
The Group's top-line performance was driven by organic expansion, strategic acquisitions, and the Group's continued commitment to operational excellence.
Ghitha's gross profit grew 25.8 percent YoY to AED977.7 million and booked a margin increase of 2.6 percentage points YoY to 19.7 percent in FY-2024. The improvement in gross profitability was driven by a combination of cost efficiencies, strategic acquisitions, and synergies, contributing to a more optimised cost structure in FY-2024.
Ghitha's balance sheet remained strong and recorded an increase in total assets of 32.0 percent to AED9.3 billion in FY-2024.
Commenting on the results, Falal Ameen, Ghitha Holding's CEO, said, "2024 was a pivotal year for Ghitha Holding as we further strengthened our position as a key player in the region's packaged food and agriculture sector.
"Our achievements were driven by a deliberate focus to scale our operations, optimise efficiencies, and pursue strategic investments that align with our long-term vision. From expanding into new markets to enhancing the performance of our diverse portfolio, we continued to strengthen the Group's foundations for sustained growth."

Notable achievements and strategic developments Key developments include the implementation of judicial career paths, the launch of online services for judicial personnel, and the approval of a 2024–2026 strategic plan. The Judicial Council issued 84 regulatory resolutions and 50 legislative enactments, supported by 39 studies guiding judicial development. Smart justice on the rise In 2024, Dubai Courts issued 19,329 rulings, held over 21,000 remote hearings, and completed nearly 1.5 million smart requests—an increase of more than 650,000 from 2023. Public Prosecution processed over 40,000 smart criminal judgments and thousands of bail applications via digital platforms. Strengthening the judiciary and case handling The judiciary's workforce grew by 17% to 429 members, with a strong focus on training—978 hours delivered to 385 individuals. The courts achieved a case resolution rate of 97.58%, with AED36.2 billion in civil case settlements. Court auction revenues rose to AED2.4 billion. Improved accuracy and reduced timelines The accuracy of judgments in courts of first instance reached 85%. Time to judgment was reduced by 19% in appellate courts and 9% in the Court of Cassation. Execution requests exceeded 1.28 million, with AED9.3 billion collected in enforcement, and AED60.3 million disbursed through Al Khair Courts. Prosecution and oversight efforts Public Prosecution engaged in over 1,000 non-criminal cases and handled more than 40,000 criminal matters, achieving a 95.7% judgment execution rate and 94.1% investigation accuracy. Meanwhile, the Judicial Inspection Authority increased inspections by 18% and processed 250 complaints. Upholding justice and future goals The Dubai Judicial Council remains dedicated to justice, equality, and the rule of law, advancing the emirate's reputation as a center of legal excellence. Through modernisation, training, and institutional integrity, it continues to build a judiciary that reflects Dubai's global aspirations.

Bahrain - Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa yesterday launched the strategy for the new Bahrain Food Holding Company, (Ghitha), and announced plans for a significant food park project. The initiatives align with directives from His Majesty King Hamad and follow instructions from Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to bolster national food security. Ghitha, a subsidiary of Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat, will consolidate the fund's food-related assets. The food park, developed in partnership with Mumtalakat's real estate arm, Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), is projected to be one of the largest in the kingdom's food sector. Shaikh Salman, who also chairs Mumtalakat, emphasised the importance of private sector partnerships in these efforts, stating that Ghitha's strategy aims to build an integrated food ecosystem focused on innovation, increased local production, and sustainable food practices. The food park's first phase will cover an estimated one million square metres, serving as an integrated industrial centre for food production, manufacturing, and distribution. Basim Al Saie, chairman of Ghitha, said the company's vision is to collaborate with both public and private sectors to drive investments, foster innovation, and enhance local capabilities for healthy and sustainable food production. The launch event saw Ghitha unveil its new identity and details of the food park, which is intended to attract future investments and create job opportunities.
