Amazon show that mentally scarred our TV editor returns and you can binge it now

An animated series that left our TV editor mentally scarred and questioning why she does her job has returned for a second season on Amazon Prime Video. Sausage Party: Foodtopia, created by Seth Rogen, is a spin-off of the 2016 film Sausage Party, which was developed by Rogen alongside Evan Goldberg and Jonah Hill. It followed the life of an anthropomorphic sausage named Frank Frankfurter (played by Rogen) who lives in a supermarket with other living foods. The original film was a major success at the global box office, earning back more than seven times its budget, and eight years later, Foodtopia premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Despite being an animated film, Sausage Party was slapped with a 15 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification for very strong language and very strong sex references. Foodtopia picks up after the events of the film, with Frank and his friends having established the titular safe haven away from the human world. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video However, when a flood destroys their newfound home, Frank and his foody friends have to team up with humans to ensure the long-term survival of their race. Despite the high stakes, Foodtopia continues with the adult themes – one scene in particular depicts a human being having sex with an actual sausage. The series returned for a second season on Wednesday, August 13, with all eight episodes currently available to stream in one go on Amazon Prime Video. As well as starring Rogen as Frankfurter, the series cast also includes Kristen Wiig as Brenda Bunson (a hot dog bun), Michael Cera as Barry (a deformed sausage), and Edward Norton as Sam Bagel Jr. (a bagel). Joining the show in season two are such names as Jillian Bell who plays Trish (a walnut), Martin Starr as Sherman (a cake), Marion Cotillard as Dojin (mustard), and Patti Harrison as Jill (a human girl). The scene in question that scarred our TV editor was featured during the sixth episode of the first season – it was described as 'surreal' and 'grotesque'. [The sex scene in Sausage Party: Foodtopia] is just as surreal and grotesque as you could possibly imagine. (For the purposes of this article, we reluctantly watched the scene so you don't have to. You're welcome). At the end of the trailer for the series, a human called Jack (Will Forte) announces: 'You hear that world? I'm in love with a hot dog!' So maybe it shouldn't have come as too much of a shock when in episode six, Jack and Frank share an extremely graphic sex scene that will now – devastatingly – be seared onto our brains forever. In short – there's snogging, licking, rubbing, penetration and an ejaculation. Everything that we did not need in a scene between a sausage and a human. It's clear from several people who've watched the show just how revolted they feel after watching that scene play out. 'Episode 6 of the new Sausage Party Show has genuinely one of the most f***ed up scenes I've ever watched in a cartoon. Only the most sick and twisted minds could've came up with something like that,' @OfficialBigAnt7 wrote on X. 'Bro what the f***?' added @O14dimeji, while @ephhhh_ stated: 'Was going to say the new sausage party show's been pretty fun then I watch episode 6 😨.' The original Sausage Party film finished with a giant food orgy, featuring all of the film's characters, that lasted for more than three minutes, so any sex scenes in the TV show weren't exactly a surprise. On YouTube, @CiDK said, 'Wow – someone had to animate this,' while Bryce added, 'Two old ladies walked out during this scene when I saw it.' Speaking about season two on X, @CheeseFhfif said they were going to 'burn their eyes', while @MeMyselfFan53995 joked: 'Can't wait to watch the spin-off series to the most vile movie ever.' More Trending The original film was received positively by critics, who gave it an 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – but audiences were less keen, with the audience rating sitting at 50%. Things didn't improve much on that front for Foodtopia, which was slapped with a 48% 'rotten' rating on Rotten Tomatoes – audiences weren't keen either, giving a 44% score. The critical consensus read: 'Foodtopia has plenty of rancid gags to tide over fans of Seth Rogen's sense of humour, but this follow-up can't help but feel like stale leftovers.' Nando's fans rush to try new menu items from returning burger to 'girl dinner'

Nando's fans can get their hands on a series of new menu items including a fresh wrap, a returning burger and a new sauce – and people have been rushing to sample the new treats Nando's has launched a fresh batch of new menu items for fans to enjoy this summer. Peri-peri enthusiasts can tuck into these new treats in Nando's restaurants around the UK or order them for delivery now after they were released last week – and people have already been rushing out to try them. ‌ There is nothing like treating yourself to a nice meal out or a takeaway when you have been super busy, or while hanging out with friends or loved ones. Many people opt for Nando's – either eating in the restaurant, or ordering it to their homes. The Nando's team are always changing up the menu. Back in March, the chicken chain has announced its new Extra Saucy Wings, while in May a burger named The Big Cheese was launched. ‌ Switching things up again, the restaurant is now delighting fans with a wrap inspired by one of the most popular summer meals going – the Super Caesar Wrap. Nando's says it is perfect for "girl dinner" and is "everything you love about Nando's' Caesar Salad but extra." ‌ It includes pulled chicken, crunchy croutons, crisp lettuce, Herby Pickles, Creamy Salad Dressing and a drizzle of the recently launched PERi-honey. It's sweet, spicy and crunchy, all wrapped up. On its own, the wrap is priced at £10.25. If you make it a meal with one regular side you will be charged £14.50, and two sides totals £16.50. On Instagram, popular food page New Foods UK shared a post, and said: "The new Super Caesar Wrap is a must try! 10/10!" Many people tagged their friends in the comments and shared plans to try it out for themselves. ‌ On TikTok, Yaz Moore shared her review of the new wrap, and said: "I really like that. You know what, the Caesar dressing isn't too strong either. I'm very picky with Caesar dressing, I can't stand the ones that come in like pre made salad. I only like one type of Caesar dressing and this one isn't bad at all." She added: "I'm so happy, I think I have found my new favourite wrap." ‌ Also now added to the menu is a returning item for little ones -the Nandino Burger priced at £6.25. This much-loved burger is making a long-awaited comeback and has been improved, insists Nando's. The burger includes a grilled chicken breast with lettuce, Lemon & Herb mayo and Heinz ketchup in Nando's new soft roll. The new burger can be ordered as part of the Nandino menu. It comes after garlic BBQ has been crowned the nation's sauce of the summer. Thousands of fans voted for their favourite sauce to return, but the sweet and smoky spice took an early lead in the race and maintained pole position for the PERi-ometer prize. In a close second place was Mango & Lime, and Smoky Churrasco came in third. Fans can now order their meals with Garlic BBQ sauce.
