Jennifer Aniston Says 'Of Course' She Talks About Famous Ex She Shares With Gwyneth Paltrow
Paltrow and Aniston both famously dated ― and were both engaged to ― Brad Pitt. Only Pitt and Aniston made it down the aisle, and the two were married from 2000 to 2005.
'Ironically, I went to her and Brad's engagement party,' Aniston said in a new interview with Vanity Fair, published earlier this week.
When the author of the piece asked if the two still spoke about Pitt, Aniston answered, 'Oh, of course.'
'How can we not? We're girls,' she said.
But Vanity Fair added that the two actually talk about wellness more than their famous ex.
'We're always swapping advice—'What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?'' she added.
Paltrow and Pitt dated for two years before Pitt proposed in 1996.
The two called things off just six months later, which Paltrow said 'was the right thing to do' while opening up about the broken engagement during an interview with Alex Cooper of 'Call Her Daddy' in 2023.
The Goop founder added it was 'major love at first sight' with Pitt.
'He's a great guy,' Paltrow told Cooper. 'He's wonderful, I really like him a lot.'
She also once compared dating the 'Fight Club' star to dating a royal, as the two's relationship will forever be a source of continued interest.
'It's like having dated, I don't know, Prince William or something. That's always going to come up,' the wellness guru said in an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year.

Jade Thirlwall Blasts 'White and Privileged' Celebrity Over Politics Remark
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall took aim at The 1975's Matty Healy over his apolitical stance. Newsweek reached out to Healy's representative via email for comment on Monday. Why It Matters England-born Thirlwall, 32, rose to fame on The X Factor in 2011 as a member of Little Mix. The British girl group also consists of Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards. In December 2020, Jesy Nelson announced her departure from the band, citing mental health reasons. Little Mix went on hiatus in 2022 to focus on solo projects. Healy—who famously dated Taylor Swift—is the lead vocalist of The 1975. The British band gained mainstream recognition with hits like 2013's "Chocolate" and 2022's "About You." What To Know In an interview with The Guardian, which was published on Saturday, Thirlwall criticized Healy for not speaking out about politics. "I don't think you can be a pop artist and cover your eyes. I saw Matty Healy say that he doesn't want to be political, which I found disappointing," she told the outlet. "It's very easy for someone who's white and straight and very privileged to say that. Good for you, hun!" Jade Thirlwall attends the launch party for Leigh-Anne's "Don't Say Love" at Restaurant Ours on June 15, 2023 in London, England. Jade Thirlwall attends the launch party for Leigh-Anne's "Don't Say Love" at Restaurant Ours on June 15, 2023 in London, Warner Music UK LTD Thirlwall appeared to be referring to The 1975's Glastonbury set in June, during which Healy said he made a "conscious decision" to refrain from discussing the current political climate. "People who are watching this may—I don't know... They may be disappointed in the lack of politics in this show and our forthcoming shows and probably our future shows. I want you to know that it's a conscious decision," Healy said, per Variety. "We honestly don't want our legacy to be one of politics. We want it to be that of love and friendship. I'm not trying to be too earnest, but you can go out into the world and there's loads of politics everywhere. We don't need more politics. We need more love and friendship." The 36-year-old continued: "I know that's really basic, but if you are a young kid and you are inspired by, like, this band or something like that—don't aspire to play a stage or be a certain size. Aspire for this level of friendship and love in what you do and you'll never fail. And I love you." Shortly afterward, however, the rock band began their tune "Love It If We Made It," which displayed images of President Donald Trump, Kanye West, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and more. Steve Jennings/WireImage In 2015, Thirlwall took over Little Mix's X account and said she was "truly saddened and ashamed" by the U.K. parliament voting to launch air strikes in Syria. "So, so sorry to the innocent people of Syria xxjadexx," she posted at the time. "I got in a bit of trouble for that," she told The Guardian. What People Are Saying On X, pop culture account Pop Crave posted Thirlwall's quote about Healy, and people shared their thoughts in the comments. Some people disagreed with Thirlwall. X user @moraltreason wrote: "People don't want everything to be political. Whether it's sports, film, music, comedy, restaurants, etc. It only ruins it." @St0rmShadowX said: "No, i go to the entertainment industry (movies, music, art, etc) to escape stupid and divisive politics. I dont remember paying artists to preach to me." Others, meanwhile, defended her remarks. @MissAmeliaNancy posted: "A queen." @master_baiter19 added: "She's so real." One person, meanwhile, was on the fence. @jvs33ph chimed in: "I'm two sided on it tbh. I definitely agree with her that it is disappointing that a lot of people don't speak about politics, but also considering how big a lot of artists are, I get speaking on certain issues arise a lot of security risks and people who wish genuine harm on them." What Happens Next Thirlwall's debut solo album titled That's Showbiz Baby! will be released on September 12.

Helen Mirren is a 'feminist' but insists James Bond 'has to be a guy'
Sorry, ladies, there's one job Helen Mirren thinks you needn't fill. The renowned British actress revealed in a recent interview that she doesn't think a woman could play James Bond. The fictional spy, who has been played over decades by a rotating cast of A-listers including Daniel Craig and Pierce Brosnan, has yet to be embodied by a woman. Mirren, 80, thinks that's as it should be, telling Saga Magazine, in an interview published Aug. 18, that "James Bond has to be a guy." Mirren, who is herself playing a detective in the upcoming film "Thursday Murder Club" (in theaters Aug. 28), was interviewed alongside Brosnan, who also appears in the movie. Daniel Craig got a 007 sendoff like no other. How Sean Connery, Roger Moore said goodbye to Bond "I'm such a feminist, but James Bond has to be a guy. You can't have a woman. It just doesn't work," she said. "James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else." Mirren did add that her latest character, a retired spy named Elizabeth, was a true representation of women who populated the world of espionage. "So many women have worked in that world. She's a manifestation of a reality, that's for sure," she told the outlet, adding that her portrayal is probably more true to life than the theatrics of 007. "More realistic. But not so much fun as Bond!" she quipped. This is not Mirren's first time wading into the Bond world. In a March interview with the Standard, the actress urged the writing of more movies about real-life women spies in place of a female 007. Helen Mirren curses at streaming giant: 'I love Netflix, but (expletive) Netflix' "The whole concept of James Bond is drenched and born out of profound sexism," she told the outlet. "Women have always been a major and incredibly important part of the Secret Service, they always have been. And very brave. If you hear about what women did in the French Resistance, they're amazingly, unbelievably courageous. So I would tell real stories about extraordinary women who've worked in that world." Mirren's comments come amid questions of who will play Bond next after Craig retired from the role in 2021's "No Time to Die." In the past, Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has ruled out the possibility of a woman succeeding Craig in the role. But in February, Broccoli and her producing partner Michael G. Wilson stepped back from the franchise and handed creative control to Amazon, leaving it unclear what the casting criteria will be under the new leadership. Contributing: Brendan Morrow

'The Diplomat' season 3 release date is sooner than we thought
Get ready for another round of juicy political drama (and no, we're not just taking about the current state of the union). "The Diplomat" season 3 is returning to Netflix and, in even better news, the episodes are hitting the streaming service even earlier than we anticipated. In case you need a reminder, the hit show — which stars Golden Globe winner Keri Russell as veteran U.S. diplomat Kate Wyler, whose new posting as the ambassador to the United Kingdom has her navigating international crises, strategic alliances and her own personal marital problems (Rufus Sewell portrays Kate's husband and fellow diplomat Hal) — released its second season in October 2024, a year-and-a-half after its April 2023 debut season. However, "The Diplomat" fans won't have to wait that long for the third installment, as a newly released trailer has confirmed that the Debora Cahn-created drama will return on Thursday, October 16. Mark your calendars! The minute-long date announcement video, released by Netflix on Monday, August 18, also gives a teaser look at the new season, which will have Russell's Kate Wyler dealing with a new POTUS: Grace Penn, reprised by Oscar winner Allison Janney. "A terribly flawed woman is now president and only we know just how flawed," Kate is seen worrying in the new clip, though hubby Hal assures her, "You will be in the White House, watching what she does all the time." And, as seen in the announcement vid, Janney isn't the only major "West Wing" alum to be featured in "The Diplomat" cast this season: Emmy winner Bradley Whitford finds himself back in the governmental muck as President Grace Penn's husband, Todd Penn. 'I was thrilled when I heard that Debora [Cahn, creator, showrunner, and executive producer] was interested in me doing something,' Whitford told Tudum. 'I had no idea what it was, but I love the show. I was jealous of the writing on this show. I love Keri. I love Rufus. And I hear Allison Janney is good at acting too. It's an amazing cast.' Along with Russell, Sewell and Janney, fellow returning actors include David Gyasi as British Foreign Secretary Austin Dennison, Ali Ahn as CIA Station Chief Eidra Park, Ato Essandoh as Deputy Chief of Mission Stuart Hayford and Rory Kinnear as British Prime Minister Nicol Trowbridge. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. As for what to expect from the upcoming episodes? 'Season 3 flips the chessboard,' Cahn told Tudum. 'In Season 3, Kate lives the particular nightmare that is getting what you want.' Good thing that the third season is back to an eight-episode order after its six-ep predecessor — sounds like the powers that be are going to need that extra screentime!
